Beautiful hotel, everything was as advertised including parking. Staff were very friendly and room was very clean. Only thing that caught us off guard was not having air conditioning. Possibly an oversight on my part, but I believe this hotel does claim to have it?

Overall amazing place , to stay . Reception staff excellent and easy to check in /check out. Great use of grounds with outside cinema , and different areas of relax. But restaurants/bars area extremely slow service and plenty of them not managed at all, walking around in different sections of huge restaurants area but not really doing anything. Need good hospitality management and clear instructions for staff. Food average, if you finally can place order.

Overnight stay. Stunning building, public rooms and surrounding parkland. Staff very attentive and positive. Room was very basic for such a lovely place...felt more Ibis than country house hotel - which was a bit disappointing. No tea / coffee in the room which was a surprise given the cost. Would I recommend - yes with a caveat,

Buitenplaats Vaeshartelt is a hotel that is conveniently located near Maastrich… but it's just far enough away from the busy city centre to provide a quiet and tranquil stay. I found this wonderful place via Expedia… and I'll be going back soon… and often! I believe that it is a busy conference and events location - but I just found it to be relaxing & stylish. The buildings and grounds are beautiful - while the interiors are modern and well-designed. A thoroughly recommended choice.

I was perfectly happy. The staff was outstanding! At the reception and in the restaurant! I was there with my dog (big dog). That wasn't a problem. They were very interested in him. They provided me with a dog bed and small things for the dog. I recommend the hotel!

Most of the rooms seem to have the new trendy decoration where the wash bassin is in the bedroom itself - I am not so fond of that - as I prefer my privacy when I wash and shave. A coffee machine would have been a nice amenity. But the very nicely decorated Staterooms where dinner and relaxation were held, were most impressive and gave a very noble finish to the stay.

Very nice hotel in a very nice location. Good food, restaurant staff are very friendly but lack training. Lights above wash basin only switch off when you remove the key card, leaving you in darkness. if you can live with this, I'd certainly suggest you try this hotel out, we enjoyed our stay

Sitting in the long hallway in the Bistro was not very cosy. It was also very draughty as the staff/people were constantly going in and out of the door into the smaller room of the Bistro.

The hotel and grounds were lovely, the rooms very basic with no tea and coffee facilities, breakfast was crap at €16.50 a head!!! Made a complaint about the breakfast but I think it fell on deaf ears so heres are review on the breakfast :- eggs boiled to within an inch of their lives, bacon was cold and fatty, scrambled eggs were powdered and tasted like they were full of sugar, juices were of the powdered variety and the toaster didnt work?? So I wouldnt recommend the breakfast.

Now understand why other guests said it’s a lovely hotel. A bit far from city centre but if you have a car, it’s not a problem. The hotel is surrounded by nature. Recommend if you have kids. A good place for solo retreat as well.
