What a hidden gem of a property. The views are of the opposite side of the sea but still amazing. The entire hotel staff was great, shout out to Flora!

Absolutely lovely stay! Flora was so welcoming and a great host. The room was lovely and the pool was amazing! The hotel was a little bit further away from Thira than I thought but the public buses/ taxis were so easy, it wasn’t a problem.
Would definitely stay here again!

Host was very nice and served us well with good recommendations!
Nothing was bad.

Truly awful experience!
Our room, which wasn’t even the economy option, was unclean and included a broken toilet seat, stained & rusty bathroom fixtures, no washing facilities in the kitchenette.
Our bed was ridiculously uncomfortable with a huge dip in the mattress. The pillows were like sleeping on concrete. We work up each morning with terrible back and neck pain. Upon trying to make the bed comfier somehow, we uncovered huge stains to the mattress.
The breakfast was awful and we cannot believe we had to pay for it. The very small portion included a slice of toast which was stale, a hard boiled egg, small pot of yogurt and some stale tasting cake.
The location isn’t ideal, at the lower end of a steep hill. You would need to higher a car to get around.
Not worth anymore than €25 a night.
We have stayed in much better places here with amazing facilities for half the price so please look for other options.

The property was a bit further away from Fira than I realized, but Flora was so amazing and accommodating that it was fine to be a bit away from the action. Flora went above and beyond to help me with anything I needed/wanted and I left feeling like we were family!

The staff very friendly and understanding, little problems in the beginning with the internet, but they figure it out.

The receptionist will scam every aspect of your stay. We paid for everything up front, then were hit with additional charges. Two coffees for 14 Euro on our departure day!!! We rented a buggy from an outside company and paid them directly, but again the receptionist made every attempt to collect cash prior to our departure - literally prior to our departure - our 20 Euro trip to the port as a courtesy of the hotel was delayed 15 minutes while they tried to extract more money. Her ability to do this may be stemmed from the beds that feel like cots, air conditioning that does not exist (hence the extra sheet instead of blanket, pillows that are as hard as a rock, no soap in shower, no water, no common amenities like coffee in the morning (see charge above)...the list is all inclusive. Your desire to leave may allow a temporary lapse in judgment, and their attempt at slerp deprivation may be the crux of their hospitality to squeeze every euro from you.I recommend, find a different place, enjoy an island that is deserving of your full, non-sleep deprived attention. But if you happen to stay here, be-ware of the money pit that will ensue.

This hotel was our 4/6. It was absolutely beautiful, clean and very modern. We were given an upgraded room as it was available with a small charge. The staff were nice, easy to approach. Breakfast was not included in the amenities, which I believe should. You were paying 7 euros for breakfast. Unfortunately, they did not always provide enough options as to how to get around in santorini. They’d always say taxi, rent a car or atv. Limited knowledge of the bus system or schedule. The prices for the taxi were expensive, it was always the same taxi person. For this hotel to be better, they need to provide, less charges for breakfast, pick up from the airport was 20 euros and taxi fees were 30 euros which is beyond expensive. The staff lacked relating to the expense of the taxi rides. It’s a great hotel, requires minor tweaks for tourists who want to move around and not for a price that is expensive.

What amazing service! The receptionist changed our hotel room from an economy to junior suite because she found it it was my birthday. So sweet! She also got us a good rate on an ATV, which was the best idea yet...since uber/taxi would have cost us an arm and a leg. I would recommend this place for its hospitality, pool, view and the sexy neighbors next door ;-). Until next time!

Mesotopos was in good location. Service was very good, hotel maintained by family. Distance to Fira 2.5 km, about 20 minutes walking. Pool area was beautiful. Peaceful surrounding.

Apartment has a nice east view to the ocean. It's quiet and a smaller complex, close to the bus, a small store and a few restaurants to walk to. We rented an ATV, as there was too much to see on the island and this was not a location where you would just hang out for a week without driving. Service was good, staff was helpful with our requests.

Excellent pool area! Make sure you check-in at 2 pm and don't show up hours earlier - my boyfriend and I had taken an early (6 am) flight into Santorini and were stuck waiting poolside for 6 hours(which wouldn't have been so bad, except we were extremely tired as we had pulled an all-nighter to catch our flight). The studios have great ambiance surrounding them and the hotel grounds are beautiful. You'll get a fantastic view from accross the street next to "Senor Zorba" the Mexican Restaurant. I highly recommend getting something for breakfast at the bakery across from Senor Zorba's as well - very inexpensive (but be warned, it's non-Air Conditioned inside, so you will boil while choosing your bakery food lol). We had breakfast once from Mesotopos (at a cost of 7 euros) which consisted of coffee, tea, bread, sweet bread, a hard boiled egg, and a greek cookie to go with the coffee and tea. The bed wasn't the most comfortable bed in the world, but I still slept fine. Transfer from the airport can be arranged and it costs you 10 euros per person. (Might be cheaper to take a taxi, but we wanted to be on the safe side. This hotel is quite up there on a hill). We did have a great conversation with Flora the day of our departure, and she gave us a big goodbye hug and kisses which we appreciated! If I go back to Santorini, I would opt to stay in Oia rather than Fira, but because of the atmosphere.

What an awesome place to stay for our Honeymoon. Brilliant hosts which spoke very good English. They looked after us well and had great knowledge of Santorini. Beautiful views over Karami and the East Coast. Our room was a little dated, but had a great view over the lovely pool. Hired a quad bike from the hotel which was great. On the main road into Fira. 5 mins on quad bike, 25 minute walk. Would love to stay there again, would recommend to others for sure.

Hotel is so relaxed.
Hotel not in a town or village (30 min walk), so you ideally need transport.
Book a hire car to pick up at the airport - and you pay far less. ( research hotel location, as not immediately obvious from road ).
Avoid eating in the Thira, and you'll pay less for food, and get better quality.
Try the bakeries, the food is fabulous, and they are incredibly cheap.
Overall - really enjoyed the stay.

Nice location and view, but room could use some basic things, like soap/shampoo, bottled water (you can't drink the tap water because it's too salty), and the hot tub wasnt warm.

Flora and Constantina are wonderful, warm and outgoing. We felt like family. They recommended and reserved; restaurants, beaches, rental car; and vineyard and sailing tours. The location of Hotel Mesotopos was perfect, it has an unobstructed view of the east coast and a partial view of the Caldera. Right in the middle of everythingThere are only 10 studios and apartments and was a nice quiet place to come home to at the end of a busy beach day or evening out. We stayed 9 nights and would be more than happy to do so again.
