Very inexpensive for a motel, great if you need a place to stay but I wouldn’t recommend for single lady. Easy to check in and out

It’s a very basic motel. No frills. It did have a good fridge.

The place reeked of weed. The sink leaked water. The bathroom pipes were old and rusted and the mattresses had almost no padding at all. The place was cheap but at the very least, have a decent mattress for me to sleep on.

The Cadet Motel was the most affordable motel in the area and was close to fast food restaurants in nearby New Windsor and close to Highland Falls and West Point south on Highway 9W. The room offered two double beds and a satisfactory bathroom.

Very clean. Basic. No decor to speak of. Screened windows are appreciated to avoid turning on air conditioning. But good to have when needed.
Also, we appreciated the sports bar and grill next door, as well as its proximity to the Storm King Arts Center.

We stay here for location and price.We row s sehll on the Hudson and it is steps away from the beach at Plum Point where we launch from.

It was close to West Point which is where the trip was planned around. There were plumbing issues, sink and shower drained slowly and left a lot of soap scum as a result. Manager made correction same day I told him but plumbing was already slowing down again by the next morning...needs more than Drano.

We were very pleased. The room was clean, the AC, microwave and fridge worked great, parking was perfect. We would stay again.

I didn't like anything about this place The bed was a hard as a rock like sleeping on a board.It was cold the heater didn't keep the room warm

I'm from the area and just returned after 20 years and the place is the same. Owners are very friendly and its an affordable stay if money is your highest consideration only.

Updated bathroom with new tub/shower, toilet & sink. New flooring through out. Microwave & refrigerator. Cable. Very clean. Friendly check in. Sports bar within walking distance for food & drink. I've stayed at other places for this price, and wasn't pleased. Very pleased with the price for a clean room & place to sleep. It's not a resort, not high-end hotel or high-end price. Highly recommend if all you need is place to sleep.

Room is sparsly furnished and in need of repair. Window Covers are not room darkening and I was woken up several times by headlights lighting up the entire room. The only thing good was the price.

This is a fine, old world motel that’s been well-rejuvenated. Most importantly, it’s quiet ( not downtown) and very clean. The accoutrements inside the room are pretty minimal — tv, fridge, ac and microwave— but my bed was very comfortable, no rickety furniture, no smells, floors are spotless and bathrooms is modern. This is a great bargain!

A basic roadside motel, but the room and bathroom were very clean and the bed was super comfortable. I got a great night's sleep and that's what counts.

I was unpleasantly surprised when we went to our rooms. They were not what I expected. It seems the Motel is in a state of transition. I believe owners are trying to update the rooms by themselves, and it shows. I'm glad my son was next door, as I would not have stayed here by myself. We seriously considered leaving but there were no other vacancies in the area.
A very nice clean restaurant next door named Ginny's is where we ate. Given time I think this might be a nice place to stay, however it isn't at the moment.

Property is in need of a desperate facelift, rooms need painting, plumbing is slow or backs up, front door had a huge gap where the bugs came into the room.

This is an OK, inexpensive place to catch some zzz's while you explore Newburgh, Storm King Art Center, the nice dining in the area, etc. It's not the Ritz and it doesn't pretend to be. No iron, coffee maker, or hair dryer. Wifi and cable TV are reliable. The wall unit heated the room nicely.

This place was so disgusting that we drove into the parking lot looked around and left. Abandoned Cadillac as soon as you drive in, old dirty windows and “seedy” people around. There was no way I would stay at a place like this. It resembled a hot sheet short stay motel.
