The nicest B&B we have stayed in. Incredibly clean and tastefully furnished. Very comfortable beds with crisp cotton bedding. Everything , including the lovely garden is so well- cared for. Everything we could need or want had been thought about- home-made biscuits, complimentary gin on arrival, bath robes. Excellent breakfast and very friendly hosts who couldn’t do enough to make our stay such a pleasure. Thank you.

Very comfortable bedroom with fabulous bathroom, lovely toiletries, homemade biscuits and sloe gin. Delicious breakfast. The hosts were very welcoming, gave good advice on local walks and directions into town etc. Just one mile walk into Keswick and private parking a bonus. Will definitely stay here again.

Lakeview is a well run and friendly guesthouse run by Catherine. The room was spotless clean, all facilities worked ok, such as shower and bath,etc. Parking was on the premises and free but there was ample street parking as well. The area is quiet peaceful and very scenic. We recommend this place to you if you are looking for a traditionally run guesthouse with a homely feel. The breakfast menu was varied, wholesome and excellent quality. We would definitely stay again.

We chose the Lake View as a base for walks in the Keswick area. Everything about our stay there was exceptional. Hosts Stuart and Catherine were welcoming and helpful. Breakfast was amazing. The beds were super comfortable. We made good use of the downstairs lounge as a place to read and consult maps. The property is a pleasant 20 minute walk from the village, and well-served by public transportation. I highly recommend the Lake View.

We had a lovely experience at Lake View. Katherine and Stuart are so lovely, friendly, and just great hosts! Katherine had lots of home made treats on offer. Rooms were quiet, nice bath, great breakfast selection, parking, great location. Would return!

The property is very well maintained . On a arrival we were shown into the lounge which was lovely and cosy with a log fire making it very cosy. Our room was very spacious and the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom has a shower and separate bath tub. Plentiful of tea/coffee and milk condiments. Morning breakfast was amazing very good selection to choose from. Overall really enjoyed our weekend in the lakes. Nothing to complain about our visit.

What a wonderful weekend at Lake View. Stuart and Catherine are wonderful hosts and Lake View is a lovely cosy B’n’B. The room was comfortable and spacious with everything you could need, plus some amazing homemade biscuits and Sloe gin. The breakfast was also a delight with locally sourced items. Beautiful location with just a short 20min walk to Keswick

A few days away walking. This is a fantastic place to relax after a long walk. Catherine was very friendly and served us a wonderful breakfast each morning. lovely cake on arrival and homemade biscuits each day with our coffee. What’s not to like. We will definitely use again. Thanks.

Warmly welcomed on arrival and introduced to the house, taken into each room and finally to our room, which was exceptional as was the rest of the house. Stuart and Catherine were fantastic hosts and really made us feel at home, in their home. They took the time to talk to us and explain to us what was best to try in the area, food, travel, walks, etc. The food was exceptionally good, the quality of the produce was first rate as was the preparation and presentation. Absolutely spot on from start to finish, many thanks to you both.

We were wowed by the beautiful big room with it's amazing view of the lake and mountains and spa bathroom complete with robes. Stuart and Katherine were excellent hosts. Delicious breakfasts were made to order each morning and it was nice to meet other guests. Stuart was great at suggesting activities which did not disappoint. We were both extremely happy with our choice of a place to stay. I would definitely recommend.

Having stayed in Keswick at least 30 times, we decided to try a longer stagger home from the pubs! Lake View is a lovely, well presented and well run B&B. Portinscale village is a brief 15 min walk from Keswick, meaning that you can enjoy a good night out and walk off dinner before you settle in. We parked up the cars and didn't return to them until the break was over. The bus stop is immediately outside Lake View, so if you've walked over the hills to Buttermere and rewarded yourself with one too many pints at the Bridge Hotel (like we did), the bus ride to your door is a massively appreciated convenience:-)

The Lake View is a charming house located in a quiet neighborhood with a beautiful walking path to the town center. My husband Min and I stayed at the property for 5 nights in this trip and enjoyed the stay very much. The owner Catherine and Stuart created a warm welcome and comfortable living environment for guests. The delicious breakfast with various choices is one of the highlights. If we visit the Lake District again in future, the Lake View will definitely be our “home” again.

The owners are friendly as well as professional; we appreciated how Stewart took the time to introduce guests to each other at breakfast - that stood out for us. And the breakfast was the tastiest we encountered. We've already recommended Lake View to anyone looking to travel to the area.

Lake View Portinscale is a lovely place to stay. The view of the village and the lake are beautiful. The room was nice and clean and the owners made us feel right at home. They provided us with some good local tips on hikes and served some amazing food. We had a great experience and definitely recommend this place!

We’d originally planned to stay in August to coincide with our 40th wedding anniversary but unfortunately had to cancel last minute when I came down with Covid. So glad we rebooked. Everything about Lake View is superb, from the location in Portinscale village to the accommodation, hearty breakfast and of course the marvellous hosts, Catherine & Stuart who were warm and welcoming from start to finish.

Our stay at Lake View was wonderful. We had the best room facing the front with a side view of Derwent Water. The condition of the guest house is immaculate and clean. Breakfasts were very good. The owners Stuart and Katherine are very accommodating, kind and down to detail. I would recommend to anyone who want to visit Keswick.
