We love the Double Eagles Resort

Rooms were very spacious but could use updating. Gym, pool and hot tub were very nice. Restaurant food and service need improvement. I suggest going to town for food. The area and location are beautiful with the lakes and hiking trails nearby.

You can see what the property once was and has the potential to be. It's starting to show some wear, our blinds were broken to get to the deck overlooking the beautiful pond. One of the child swings outside a cabin was broken and hanging from one side. The restaurant was good but could be great. Maybe hire more staff? Start breakfast earlier than 7:30 to draw in customers waiting for tables just down the road? Nice place in a stunning setting.

Beautiful location in the mountains! Staff are friendly, very clean. Would definitely stay here again.

Super friendly staff, property is a little bit dated. The "spa"/pool area doesn't offer closed showers and has a lot of restrictions, spa water was murky and with lots of bugs

This place is beautiful. I'm going back to June mnt and staying here again but this next time I will be getting a couples massage.
5.0
Great, relaxing ski trip. Clean cabin with a beautiful view of the creek. We used the jacuzzi every night after skiing, I got a hot-stone massage, and we ate at the restaurant. 10/10 would recommend it all. We will be back!

This is my first time experiencing the area with my Family, I recommend it for people who like to enjoy Nature, and silence, perhaps the only thing this place lacks is a Microwave for each room, since there are not many options nearby to eat, except the on-site restaurant. Some midnight snacks have to have the option of a microwave. Otherwise, the attention and staff of the place is fabulous.

Really wonderful property. Good restaurant with very fair prices, log cabin feel to the place. Clean rooms.
We'll come back!

Very large room

The people were friendly, great views, it was disappointing to come back at the end of the day to take a relaxing hot water shower and NO water pressure. Very short staffed. Very disappointed at the restaurant, had to wait a long time to be waited on due to lack of staff. People were friendly at the restaurant. Because of this I would not recommend to other people.

The area surrounding this hotel is beautiful! Background mountains when you walk out of your room, quite breathtaking. As for the room itself, it was roomy and great looking but looking closer you can tell it needed repairs and a deep clean. We had double queens beds and both had issues. 1 bed had what looked to be dried-up blood on the comforter and the other had small black fur on the sheets, as if a dog slept there. The bathroom door is like a sliding panel that folded in on itself. It didn't even closed fully because it was damaged/missing panels so it didn't cover the entire width of the door frame. Don't think I would stay here again as there were other hotels within this area.

Attentive staff. Beautiful grounds. Very well kept.
1.5
Great location, overall nice resort
However we had no hot water in the shower and the ambiance fireplace did not work - front desk staff was totally unhelpful and the issue was neither fixed nor compensated
Disappointing given the price of the room.
However spa staff was excellent

This place is great but the pool situation is so weird, especially since a place with cabins would presumably be kid friendly. Kids under 3 are not allowed in the pool at all. Kids under 12 are limited to using the pool for 2 separate 2 hour periods per day. 1 of those periods is when young kids would normally nap (11:30-1:30). So from 4:30-6:30 the pool is a zoo. None of this pool info is in the website. On top of that, there’s a local woman who goes around accosting the children DURING kids hours because she’s “been looking forward to coming here to have some peace all day.” There’s also a private jacuzzi in the locker room, so not sure why this place also needs adult hours or why it isn’t switched so lap swim/adult time is just 4 hours a day. However, knowing all this, I’d still come back with my kids.

Old cabin with minimal entertainment (no games, books, puzzles, fishing gear, children’s games, only a TV). The staff was not friendly—very restrictive hours for children’s pool use. A total ripoff.

Wonderful 1 night stay! It’s a beautiful resort with pond views, waterfalls and flowing creek at the entrance. Nice indoor pool and jacuzzi. Friendly staff. Our upstairs room was very cozy except for the floor that made a rattling noise even when we tippy toed. Nice spacious bathroom. A vanity mirror and a microwave would’ve been a plus. Happy with several deer sightings near the creek. It’s a great location between June lake and Silver lake

Beautiful condo

Great spa, great food (but pricey) but could be better for the price, great scenery, great staff, great people. Ive learned its best to visit either in winter or middle of summer.

Cabins are in a very bad condition. Bedding were not washed. Front desk customer services is disappointing .
Overall, if you like it to rough it after all day of skiing this is the place .

Amazing property and service. location is directly under horsetail falls and close to June Mountain

Never figured out the heater, so high 70's inside. Door opened to low teens outside to equalize. TV cable had been yanked from back of tv so no world cup this morning. Is that a positive?

Absolutely beautiful hotel and grounds

Nice spot that didn't have a lot of human personality. The location is spectacular, but the employees seemed a bit bored with it all. We had a good stay and would go back but we wished for an owner to walk in and welcome us.

The property was amazing but, thats not what made this place so great, it was the people running it. We mistakenly booked our stay for a week after we were to be there. When we pulled in at 9pm, 50 miles from civilization, they went out of their way to help get us a room to stay in. After hrs and so kind, thank you Double Eagle, you really saved us from disaster!!
5.0
Really beautiful setting, and the resort has high quality buildings and rooms. There is a feeling of quality attention to detail here, without being a super expensive place to stay. A real getaway in a gorgeous part of the Eastern Sierras.

We needed a place to stay before heading to Lake Tahoe a they had one room left. What a precious place!! Room well appointed, we got in late just in time for dinner at the restaurant. We ate a great meal at the bar. Women Bartender was great! Next morning my husband used the great workout facility abs I walked around the grounds a couple of times. The little pond in the middle of the compound iD so cute and Several families were out fishing for catch and release. Got some hot tea at the breakfast area in the morning and we were off. June lake is also a precious little town had no idea.

Starting with the positives from unit 117D
The view was the most amazing view I have ever seen from a hotel. The trout pond, the trees and the Sierra mountains. It was very clean inside and nicely decorated. Bonus that we could park right outside our room. Oh and watching the stars from our balcony was amazing.
Negative- The flooring was horrible! Walking across was very loud and we felt bad for the folks below us. Almost felt weak like we’d fall through. All 3 of us felt painful the next morning with the uncomfortable beds. And the bathrooms have accordion doors? For $300+ per night, I felt some of those things were not up to standard.
2.0
For the price we paid for our room, we were disappointed in the overall condition of the room and lack of in room amenities.
