The staff were amazingly friendly and helpful from parking assistance to giving information about getting around the city during our stay. I forgot my card with my code to get in after hours and the front desk clerk answered the phone promptly and helped us get inside the hotel right away. The only drawback is the hotel is in dire need of repairs and the room was pretty stuffy but not unbearable since they provided a box fan to circulate the air.

Comfortable, conveniently located

Charming old French Quarter hotel. Pleasant and helpful staff. Weak water pressure in small bathroom. Nice having a jazz piano in a cozy bar.

Parking situation was not ideal, but it was a overall great place to stay, would highly recommend!!

Amazingly friendly staff and beautiful property!

Charming old hotel right in the heart of town. A small parking lot, as to be expected, but the attendants do their very best to make it work! WiFi a bit patchy in certain parts of the hotel - my room was accessible via an outside balcony - but more than compensated for by the location. Would happily stay again.
2.5
Fun hotel-perfect location-very clean and well taken of especially given age of place-cannot say anything negative

Small parking lot. You have to leave your vehicle until checkout

Perfect spot near French market, bourbon street and the Marigny. I’ll be back.

For a Space to stay on Bourban street but still quiet...this is the place if you want a bit of historical vibe. It is an old historic building, so everything is older but quaint. The room was just what we wanted for 2 beds in a walkable space without staying in a brand new location. It was just what we wanted. Close to all of Bourban street and a close walk up a few blocks to the main square and the French Market. The staff was super nice and we could park the car for $30 a night which is cheap in this area. The AC worked great and we always had a cool spot to duck into. It is also right next to the very historic Lafittes bar.

Staff were great. Parking reasonable $. Room was clean.
Unfortunately , the strong scent on all the linens, while pleasent, was overwhelming and gave us headaches and aggravated our allergies. I also felt that the property needs more repair. Holes in the closet wall creeped me out I'm afraid of rodents although I did not see any and water damaged walls bubbling in the bathroom are details that matter. Like I said the room was clean except for the ceiling fan over the bed and the air conditioner that is over your head while you're in bed. Both had a thick layer of dust that also made getting any sleep hard.
It is a very historical building and overall it is very cool. I can't express how awesome the service was and I would recommend this to anyone who wants that experience.

The service was friendly and room was cute!

Historic spot. We had everything we needed. Clean and beautiful. Don’t expect a modern chrome and glass room. It’s a boutique hotel and thats the way we like it.

Our stay at Lafitte Hotel and Bar was great. The whole family enjoyed it

The area is perfect. Close to the French market, and to the fun times on Bourbon Street. The room had so much charm and the beds were so comfy. The pillows were awesome too. A deep cleaning wouldn’t hurt only in regard to wiping everything down like the bed bases and the walls. But that wouldn’t deter me from staying. We will be back. This hotel has been my favorite New Orleans stay to date and I have been to New Orleans numerous times overnight. Highly recommend.

Y'all!!! I cannot rave about this property enough! It was so super cute and cozy with so much character! We went for the Stevie Nicks concert on a Wednesday and during the "off-season" as Mardi Gras was 2 weeks ago so it was VERY quiet. Parking is a small limited area, but the staff was more than helpful with getting our car out. Close to the French Market, we walked there and back easily. I will definitely stay here again!

If I went to NOLA again, I would not stay on Bourbon St. Our room (the only one on the first floor) was clean but not well maintained. The refrigerator sat on the floor instead of on a table. There looked like mold on a section of the wall and the staircase up to the sitting room was a tad treacherous. The outdoor patio area was run down.

Super fun spot right on Bourbon Street. Obviously you’ll have the sounds of the night life down on the street echoing around the rooms - but that’s part of the experience with such a perfect location. Nice and central for waking to Bourbon craziness or to Frenchman chill vibes.

It’s close to everything but very loud at night due to the bar across the street so being ear plugs

We absolutely loved this great little hotel. The staff is super attentive and friendly, the room was clean and adorable, and the location is perfect as it is in a quiet spot away from the loud and crazy section of Bourbon st. Can't wait for our return visit.

Great hotel...staff was very helpful.

This 19th century residence converted to a hotel shows its age, but that is part of its charm. Great location in the French Quarter. It can get noisy at times, but one doesn't stay on Bourbon Street for the peace and quiet. Excellent value. A connected bar and cafe serve all needs other than a restful sleep after a night of fun. Service was excellent.

We found this hotel to be dripping with charm! The service was super-friendly & welcoming. Their parking fees are more reasonable than any other hotel in The FQ we have stayed at previously. The bedding, mattress, linens were luxe. The furniture is all gorgeous antique pieces... our bed in Rm 34 was fabulous! We had a 3rd floor, courtyard view, but even better than that, a 3rd floor view of The FQ & CBD & gorgeous sunsets. Our stay was relatively quiet, no rowdy neighbors & surprisingly, no ghost encounters, which we were sort of excited about. I guess we will need to plan to return for ghost encounters. The piano bar is a delightful experience... we had the opportunity to spend a few minutes & a nice cocktail with a pianist & artist belting out some Billy Joel, Elton John, CCR, Crosby Still Nash & Young & Alannis Morrisette & Tori Amos. A wide variety of music & so, so friendly & talented. Kristen was her name, I believe. This historic building is laden with gorgeous architecture, beautiful folk art, nice coffee in the lobby, luxe rugs & furniture. A passcode is required to get in... we felt totally secure & safe. The location is situated on the far east end of Bourbon, just outside the hustle & bustle but directly across the block from the infamous & historical Jean Lafittes Blacksmith Shop (pub). There is plenty of fabulous New Orleans cuisine & necessities within a block's walk of this hotel. Guided ghost tours visit here.

Floors in rooms need to be refinished. Felt kinda gritty on bare feet.

Honestly the guy that checked us in really set the tone for us. He was rude and miserable. We drove for 7 hours for an overnight stay. We had such high hopes but overcoming his attitude drained us. We hated our room but because of how he treated us we didn’t want to ask to change it. Trip of a lifetime brought down by a miserable man. I suspect this is the person in other reviews as the surly bartender. Loved the location and the parking. Room was beautiful and comfortable. Would never stay again or recommend it based off this rude, inhospitable human. New Orleans is full of amazing, Happy, enthusiastic, kind humans. Stay elsewhere and don’t wreck your trip.

A beautiful older historic hotel right at the end of Bourbon. The view from our balcony is absolutely one of the best in the city! In spite of the location we had no trouble with noise from the street - the room has a fan for white noise, so smart! Everyone here from checkin to check out has been wonderful - the friendly front desk people, the super sweet housekeeping ladies, attentive bartender, and talented piano players - all made our stay one of the best in New Orleans. As an added bonus we were able to meet the wonderful couple that own Lafittes 😬 We are so happy to have found this gem and will definitely be staying here again - highly highly recommend for any and everyone!

Will Go Back And Stay There! Pretty Sweet!!
