No one was at the front desk when we got in late- waited 15 min until someone came and she was very rude and unapologetic. Rooms were fine but not super clean- a lot of mold in the bathroom and it was pretty tight for space. Room looked pretty worn. Wouldn't stay here again.

A no-nonsense hotel room for a quick sightseeing trip to NYC. Friendly & helpful staff all around. Breakfast & dinner options right across the street. 10min walk to Amtrak, 15min walk to Times Square, 20min walk to Rockefeller Center. Clean, quiet rooms. Daily housekeeping service was a nice surprise.

We actually switched to this hotel after an awful experience with another hotel during our 5 days stay. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Based on the circumstance, they found a room and allowed us to do early check in so we weren’t stuck walking the city with our luggage. The room was very spacious for midtown and the hotel was very clean, the beds were comfortable, amenities were nice!

Hotel was ok for the price. Quite a noisy location with busy bars over the street and lots of drunken shouting well into the small hours. But it was well located for what we needed it for and it was comfortable and relatively spacious (for NYC). Noisy air conditioning, but to some extent this helped drown out the noise from the street so I kept it on.

Pretty terrible stay, shower is leaking all over the place and has been for a while judging by the stains. Metal shower drain is broken, door is rusted due to the long term leaks. The mattress is pretty terrible and enclosed in a noisy plastic cover. Avoid this place if you can.

The front desk person, Jesse I believe, was a real pleasure and so accommodating!
2.5
Friendly and helpful staff. Knowledgeable and easily accommodated my request. I had a great stay.

TV remote did not work, next door garage had a loud buzzer going continuously throughout the whole day. I would never stay here again
2.5
Prime location, exemplary customer service, clean, comfortable, wonderful gym and rooftop. Definitely will stay again. Luz was the most outstanding hotel concierge I have ever encountered. She was worth the stay alone
2.5
Very convenient location- about a 10 minute walk to Times Square!! The front staff was super friendly and helpful. She made the stay extra enjoyable!

The best thing about the hotel is the gym and the open to use rooftop. Although a bit from a subway station it is decently located even if 9th Av north of 35th still is a bit rough. The room we got was clean enough (some mold in the roof of the bathroom) but quite worn down. The hallways were dark and old and the elevators likewise. The hotel said it had a rooftop bar but it was an open space which all could use and very little space to sit even if the area was big. The room was a corner room so 2 windows but to a quite busy street so noise was high until around midnight. The bad part besides overal state of the hotel was the service. Right from check-in the staff was short, quite unhelpful and almost rude. When brought to managers attention she was the same. No ice in the hotel and no water available in the room to our knowledge. Good thing was the gym and the fact that the room had a fridge and a microwave. I would not recommend this hotel but spend a little more and get something a bit more new and established partly because of the quality of the room and location, since the neighborhood although lively at day got quite rough at night for a family.

Nice room. Good area for downtown.

Beds comfortable, spacious room, good water pressure, a really lovely rooftop space, staff present at the front desk at all hours, helpful, and a great deal on cost. Will recommend to friends.

Nice staff for sure!!! The only positive for this hotel. A huge bathroom and pretty large room sound like a plus, but I would rather have a MOLD-FREE bathroom. The showerhead had mold and was absolutely ridiculous to use. I was the only one in the family who took a chance and showered (luckily, we went home the next day). The sink and faucet...well, do not wash your face with your eyes closed. Stains and/or footprints were everywhere (walls, doors). They did have a microwave and a fridge, which is unheard of for NYC, but NO coffeemaker, no water. The location isn't the best, but that was my choice, so it's OK. But if you are visiting for the first time and only for a few days, I would not recommend it. It is far from everything except the Hudson Yards. Nice people work there and the beds were clean!

Very pleasant staff always willing to answer all our questions. Thought the beds and pillows were very comfortable.

Great price, great location, great room, great rooftop deck.

An unpretentious hotel with a wonderful roof. Roof is large quiet and has amazing view from this 13th floor loft.

Very nice / friendly staff, always made talk with us and welcomed us in! Room was a good size and convenient area.
4.0
It is located conveniently near a lot of places we wanted to see.

The mattresses are awful. Covered with plastic that krinkles and makes noise all night when you or spouse turning. Plastic creates body heat and you become very hot sleeping. Overall bad experience for three nights and will not stay there again.

Reception area not great.
Room good.

For the price range, the stay was what I expected. The property is a bit dated as far as hotels go (scuff marks on the floor, the mattress was a bit uneven, the AC rattled slightly). The room was very comfortable though. Note that the rooms face 8th Ave so it will be noisy, so I would recommend bringing ear plugs. For context, I stayed as part of a business trip, and I previously lived in NYC for a decade.

Can’t beat the location.
Great staff as well.

Staffs are kind and helpful from desk to housekeeping.
There’s a rooftop with a nice seating area.

Chris at the front desk was awesome! Also Tony and Jessica were great. Chris saw me wandering for hot water and sent up a tea kettle that a very nice man named Tony brought up to me. You must check out the rooftop too, great view! Room was nice open and clean unlike most tiny rooms in NY. Honestly though, staff is what stood out to me at this place. Gym is ok…not awesome but meh…

Staff was friendly and helpful providing tips re food around the area. Property within walking distance of main attractions. We were on inside room so noise was to a minimum. Felt safe. Room was clean.

Friendly personal. Room Size good enough for some days. Many Restaurants around.
Times Square, Empire State Building and Port Authority Bus Terminal in walking distance.
Roof top terrace is the best place all day long and especially for dinner at sunset (bring your own!).

The staff was excellent and very friendly.

I had an incredibly disappointing stay at this hotel. The first room I was placed in smelled strongly of food. When I tried to open the window for fresh air, I was shocked to find myself at eye level with diners inside a restaurant, with only some fake ivy attempting to block the view. After requesting to move, I was given another room, which was just okay, but still lacked basic amenities like a blow dryer and coffee maker, both of which you apparently need to request.
The bathroom had visible mold or mildew in the corner due to the shower head spraying water in odd directions. While I could have ignored that, the sheets had stains on them, which was unacceptable. When I brought this to management's attention, the front desk staff was unhelpful and seemed unsure of what to do. I had to insist on getting clean sheets and was eventually forced to make my own bed.
When I asked for a refund to stay elsewhere, the head manager didn’t respond until around 10 a.m. the next day. Since I was already at work and couldn’t check out within their narrow window, they refused to refund me for the first night. After much back and forth, they finally agreed to refund me for the second night, but the amount I received was only $120, far below the $220 I originally paid per night (excluding taxes and fees).
Overall, this was a frustrating experience, and I would not recommend staying here. The hotel lacks basic cleanliness, proper service, and any accountability.

This hotel was great. Jessy was the best. She answered all questions and helped to direct me to places I needed to go. So knowledgeable and sweet
3.0
Room was spacious, staff were nice, and location is close to the convention center. But sometimes they didn’t have things like towels in stock, and hot water stops working sporadically. Some lights were also broken, they claimed this hotel recently reopened so they’re still working out some kinks.
3.0
The air conditioning in the room constantly turns off during the night and you can't sleep well.

Very nice

Very old property, staff very nice! This property is highly overrated for what truly is. No coffee maker on the room.

Property was good, had some near by food places, store
