If you want a nice quiet enjoyable place to stay this is it. The only regret is we only stayed one night. would have liked at least 3days there

We were there for one night and experienced a stunning sunset exactly like their picture. The location is excellent and the restaurant seems to be one of the best in Strahan. The best meal we had in Tasmania. They delivered a breakfast to our room as the restaurant isn't doing breakfast at present, but it was pleasant. There is a nice short bushwalk across the road, worth doing.

Our experience at the restaurant was really poor and this affected our feelings for the whole hotel. How this restaurant has received any kind of positive award is beyond belief. The menu was minute and my choice was unavailable. My eventual dish was the “beef & beer pot pie.” This was an oily, fatty mix of minimal amounts of fatty meat, cheese and, yes, oil.
The hotel needed a good dusting, unless the cobwebs were thought to contribute to the rustic look.
Overall, I would not recommend this place or its restaurant.

Definitely the best place to stay and to dine. Whilst you should not expect a 5 star room the accomodation is well presented and the location is wonderful. Close to walking trails and the waterfront location is superb.
The food options are many, even on the set menus nights so don’t be out off by that. The very well presented and perfectly cooked food on offer was our best dining experience in the north western end of Tasmania.
The staff are warm, friendly and knowledgable from the check in/out process to the ability to match wine selection to complement your dinner. Second to none in Strahan and the north west of Tasmania.

On arrival we were greeted by a friendly welcoming staff member who made our check in quick and nice. We were directed to our room and were surprised at the beauty of the location and view from our room. The room was large and clean and peaceful and we could not ask for more.
