The hotel was fine! The location is a little off, you have to walk pretty far to see some good things in Bacalar. And you definitely need some taxis if you wanna see the cenotes and the lazy river.

Very nice stay! I had some problems, because my creditcard and passport was stolen in Mexico City, but the staff was very helpful! Special thanks to Evaristo in the reception for outstanding service!

Good deal but the beds were really hard and the pillow(not pillows) sucked. Gave me a control for my room t.v without batteries and it didn't even work. There was no water in the bathroom when we got there so I had to tell them to turn the pump on. Very rural it's good if you want to save money. I was going to get two nights here but my back was hurting in the morning. Nice pool

Hotel only had about 30 rooms, so was nice not to be in a large hotel. All staff very nice. Rooms were large. Rooms could have used another end table or some kind of dresser if staying longer, as nowhere to really unpack your stuff.

Great front desk attendance. Not properly cleaned before check in, hair in shower and floor. Needs a deep clean. Very loud, everything echoes from other rooms and hard to sleep. WiFi was very bad for long periods all over the property. It’s a budget place (but still not cheap) but there is no excuse for lack of basic cleanliness and being kept awake late because of loud people on and around the property.

Great, safe, clean hotel! Breakfast was eggs & beans or fruit with juice or coffee. AC worked great, hot water and WiFi not so much. The lobby area has WiFi. Close enough to walk everywhere. My only suggestion would be to have drinking water offered in the lobby to refill water bottles. I didn’t like having to buy bottled water from the store, I rather pay the hotel more and reduce the plastic consumption by refilling my reusable bottle.

The check in experience was really bad. The receptionist was rude. Started talking to other customers on the middle of check in and when I pointed that out said that he is not willing to lose any business because of this check in ...Breakfast is very basic either eggs with beens or fruit, not both. The instant coffee was not good and weak

We had a lovely stay. The premises was spotless. The staff was super accommodating and friendly. The wonderful breakfast and pool was a real bonus. I would highly recommend and hope to return myself.

Very decent hotel and an enjoyable stay overall. The decoration and room type made it look a very "gay" hotel with pink colors etc, but the stay was fine aprt of the fact that the ONLY WiFi was at reception

Positives are its a lovely rustic hotel for the price. Its clean, has friendly staff and the included breakfast was delicious.Negative was that the shower was cold and its a little outside of town (but still only 10 min walk to the lake)

Typical Mexican hotel. Small washroom with your own water heater, interesting..lol Needed to remember to turn it on in the am so shower was hot. Beds little better than some, pillows ok. Not a high end place but happy with the cost. Comfort was better than some for the money. Breakfast was hot and included. Scrambled eggs, fruit , coffee and juice. Walkable to Centro for restaurants. Would use again

A reasonable option. A business-like welcome rather than super friendly but OK nonetheless. Clean rooms, about 10 minutes or so walk to the main square. Breakfast was included but it was nothing to get excited about - scrambled eggs and a tiny portion of refried beans. One morning I was mildly amused to see the reception staff tucking into the same but slightly bigger portions, with the addition of a bowl of fruit salad. Hire bikes available but they deparately need some maintenace. Better to get a bike somewhere else if you can find one.
