I couldn’t have been better cared for. The room was clean and well updated. The staff was AMAZING! I had never stayed in a motel before and was a little nervous to begin with, but I will be staying here again.

This is generally a great place. There’s a cozy, social atmosphere and the staff were super nice. It was clean and kinda funky- mismatched drapes and a cool tapestry on the wall. We rented the Captains Room instead of staying in the dorms. The only negative was the price for what it was. You don’t really get any of the traditional amenities you get from the same price elsewhere, like a little shampoo (these types of items were available to purchase). The room is also right by the front desk and the walls are thin so you hear everything. We were awakened in the morning by staff entering the office. Not their fault - there’s just no sound proofing to to the walls. There is an additional $20 room key deposit, which is fine since it is not a card key; just something to be aware of. It takes 3-5 days for it to be refunded. You are required to strip your bedding after your stay and deposit them and your towels into bins in a different room. Again, it was fine, but not at that price point. To be fair, we knew it was a hostel and should have set our expectations accordingly. I think we thought it would be a little nicer given that we paid for a private room.

Mediocre Would rather stay at a hotel I felt like a child when i was there cause they are so strict with their rules. I got kicked out for having a piece of pizza in the dorms. So not very reasonable in my opinion

Best staff ever. They need to just do simple maintenance like replace two light bulbs in my room. Other than that tiny thing, a safe kind place to stay in Eugene! I even called super late when I had trouble with the door lock- the kind reply was appreciated.

They charge you a $15 late check-in fee and it has to be in cash, which was not specified before I made the reservation. I was never charged a fee for late check-ins for all the hotels/hostels I've lived in. I have to say this is very disappointing.

We needed an affordable place to stay in Eugene and this worked. Very hippie/homeless area but we felt safe and the staff was very friendly. We spent the evening at a nearby wine bar that was fabulous. Breakfast was typical hostel fare; cook your own eggs, peanut butter, Nutella, jelly and bread. Muesli but not sure if milk was available.

The check in process was a bit cumbersome because it seemed like the folks at the desk were not very familiar with their computer software. The check-out process was even more cumbersome because we needed to leave very early in the morning to catch a flight home. We mentioned this to the staff and they said that someone would be at the desk to get the key and give us our key deposit back. When we went to leave the building was locked, nobody was present, and the after hours phone number posted on the front door was not working, so there was no way to contact anyone. We ended up tossing the key through the open office window as we had to leave for the airport. I later called to make sure they got the key and to ask about getting the key deposit back - they said they had the key and would refund the deposit, but I have yet to see the refund.

I liked it’s price range. Just right for person like me who just want to explore Eugene by myself. I liked the “boho”/“hippie ambience . The one thing that’s a turn off for me is the loud music next door. Saturday night so loud music continued throughout the early hours of Sunday Moroni ng. I need to wear my headphones to be able to sleep. It’s not good at all to rest/sleep after all day walking I did last Saturday. Maybe that’s what the neighborhood actually.

My gf and i stayed in a private room in the house across the street from the main hostel building. It had a huge kitchen, hot showers, comfy bed, gas fireplace and a wrap around porch with a huge tree creating a natural privacy screen. The cleanliness was impeccable. There were quite a few homeless people in the area. No more than you see in most large american cities and we had no altercations with any. Plenty of breweries and dive bars close by. We walked around the area late at night without any problems. I will definitely be staying there again.

Place is okay owner was great though, he was very helpful and accommodating to my needs of checking in very early. It is a Hostel though, which tends to be different in many ways. Facility and sleeping accommodations were clean and okay.

Wonderful establishment. I’m aging myself (66) but it reminded me of grad school in the 80’s. Very nice people, pleasing and eclectic decor. The only negative was a portion of the neighborhood that is homeless. Not the fault of the hostel but a reminder how much luckier i am than others and how the numbers are increasing. They even had a used bookstore!

There was gang sinds on houses and cars all around the place. Now safe parking huge homeless tent camp about four blocks away. I didn't even stop to stay becouse I was scared my car would get vandalized. It's in a real bad spot in town. I woud'nt even spent 25 dollers to stay here.

I loved the hostel so much the first night, that I extended my stay just to hang out another day. Everyone was really friendly, and a joint potluck by staff and guests was a welcome surprise in my second evening there. Made some great friends who I'll be keeping in touch with!

The hostel staff was very friendly and accommodating. Boho bungalow style theme meets nautical. I stayed in a private room that had a personal entrance and front patio. The buildings have character, and the location is central.

I got in during the hottest part of the day. The guy that helped me wasn’t super friendly or patient. I told him I wanted to check out early and nothing was followed up. One fan in the upstairs hallway made it hard to sleep. I went out to dinner to sit in a cool place and when I got back before ten everything was locked up and I couldn’t ask any questions. Had to leave my key and bedding on the bed when I left at 430am. They kept my key deposit of $20. Just disappointing and annoying it cost me $20 more for a miserably hot sleep and a key they still have. Passing on this place.

This was a really great place! The staff was warm and friendly. The complimentary breakfast was lovely, and all the shared spaces were clean and welcoming. The Sun Room was spacious and it was gorgeous waking up to the sunlight hitting the tye-dye curtain. We especially loved sitting out on the front porch at night while it rained outside. Overall, it was a perfect stay at a great price. Would definitely come back again!
