Booked this hotel for a trip to Ibrox, reasonable price, around 15 min walk to kelvinhall subway, plenty of bars in the area too

Our flight was canceled and we needed a place last minute. Its a cute old hotel right near restaurants and a fun area. There is NO elevator, so be prepared to walk up stairs, especially if you're on the fourth floor like we were. Breakfaat not included, but reasonable.

Very clean and tidy room, comfortable bed and a clean bathroom. And a tv that worked properly. Friendly and helpful staff too! Will probably stay again when i'm back in Glasgow in February.

I paid for a singel bed room which was nice. The Hotel and room in general needs an upgrade for sure. Didn't have breakfast coz it's much cheaper to buy breakfast at a local diner. All in all,,great location, friendly staff. Will I be back? let's see😊
2.5
Lovely hotel central to kelvingrove park west end and other way to city centre. Easily walkable or buses/tube available. Hotel is modern, looks to have been decorated recently, warm and quiet. Didn't try breakfast but smelt nice. Little noise outside at kicking out time expected but probably because we were at the front facing the road. Stayed for a family christening and parking was available when arrived and when returned on the street free weekends starts 8am Mon charging

Home from home Sandyford Hotel. Warm welcome friendly helpful staff. Comfortable clean rooms. Great breakfast.
1.5
Very basic, in need of modernisation. Great location though.
2.0
Room was clean and comfortable.
My only criticism is a poor cooked breakfast. The bacon looked as if it had been reheated from the day before.
4.0
The staff was kind and helpful even to us “foreigners.”
The bed was ok but not extremely comfortable.

Really friendly staff and great location
1.0
Very old and dated. Needs a complete overhaul. Completely overpriced and over rated on this site.
1.5
Not as described, however breakfast was very good and the waitress very friendly unlike the reception.
4.0
Nice hotel, plenty of lovely bars, restaurants nearby.

We enjoyed our stay at the Sandyford Hotel, but the only negative thing was the room cleaning service provided. We were not aware that the room would be cleaned for our two night stay and there was no ‘do not disturb’ or similar sign that we could hang on the door. Our room was entered twice in one day to pull the sheets over the bed and the second time was to hang a shower curtain that was missing. We would have preferred that our room be left as it was or have an option to not have our room cleaned as we stayed for such a short time.

Ok

Staff was very friendly. Wonderful location in the West End. Bathroom supplies were not always replenished. However, when requested there was not an issue. There is a lively area and you may hear music at night from the bar across the street.

A lovely little hotel out of the hectic downtown core bus very accessible by public transport. Very nice staff as well.

Everything is good, except the construction worker started their repair work right on our ceiling at 8:45am. It seriously affected our sleep.

This place definitely felt older. There were lots of cracks and mustiness. It just felt very used and, like I said, older. Not sure how else to put it. It was very spacious, and unlike all other places we stayed, this place had a very large, deep bathtub. We stayed in a 'twin bed' room so we each had our own bed. The woman working at the counter was super helpful and kind. Our window lock was broken and she got maintenance to fix it very quickly (we were on ground level). We purchased one breakfast in the morning and it tasted just fine. The downstairs room that the meals were in was super hot and stuffy, so we didn't want to go back. So, the next morning we opted for the cafe that was directly across from the hotel. The location of this hotel was really great with it being super close to shopping and dining. Very walkable. I would maybe stay here again based solely on the friendliness of the staff and the location of the hotel.
4.0
Nice ambience, nice view from rooms on the top levels.
No elevator so if you have heavy bags that's a problem, especially if the room is on the highest level

The rooms were clean and neat. We were just there for the night. Thought of getting dinner in exchange of the breakfast since we had to leave very early. But they refused. Helped us get a cab to the Airport the next day though.

Plain but acceptable room.need a redecorate/touch up to peeling pain.
Bathroom nice, but lacks a few finishing/ snagging details in need of attention.Staff lifted the hotel above the average

Was down for a concert in the SWG3 by myself got a lovely spacious single bed room. Was just what I needed and just a short walk from the venue. The staff I interacted with were really nice as well

Very nice stay. Stayed here in January as well and had a pleasant stay.

Nice location clean quiet helpful staff

Really not great. I can understand the four floor walk-up, no A/C, very small room and unsightly scaffolding all over the building, but others might be turned off. What I don’t understand is rusty metal in the bathroom, broken trash can, creepy stains on the walls, non-functioning window shades, incorrect breakfast times and WiFi password posted, mirror frame peeling, old gum (?) in the carpet… Was also noisy, but that was due to inconsiderate hotel neighbors. But staff was helpful upon arrival.
2.5
The staff were friendly and efficient, including the cleaning staff. The room was compact and could do with a little bit of upgrading but it was very comfortable and ideal for location and convenience.
2.0
Can't really complain, it's obviously an older building so it has some battle scars
But the room was clean enough, it's 15 minutes from the OVO on foot.
Plenty eateries & shops in the area, bus stop right outside the door.
We didn't try the breakfast.

Excellent stay as always
.staff friendly and efficient.

Very dated decor. The mattress was terrible. So uncomfortable.

Great hotel in West end with awesome staff— really a wonderful place. Close to all great places in Glasgow, fabulously located for excellent meals out and endless night strolls!
2.0
Nice enough hotel for a one night stay. £8.50 for breakfast is probably a bit steep, but nice enough food. Really good location for bars, restaurants etc, and good transport options to the city centre.
5.0
Construction across the street made it very loud. The room was nice, fairly clean. Parking was good - the offsite parking was reasonably priced. So many dining options nearby, close to Kelvingrove which was excellent.

A really nice couple of nights at the Sandyford Hotel. I parked 10 mins walk away by the Mosque, in an underground car park. £24 for 36 hours, you pay the Sikf at the entrance with cash. Great location, I walked everywhere from the hotel and felt safe even walking back in the dark. Bus stop right outside with open top tour bus stopping regularly. Easy walk to the lovely Kelvingrove park and museum. Easy walks to theatre and Art Cinema. Clean room, helpful staff. I would highly recommend.

Worth the money you pay. I wouldnt stay in the summer as there is no air conditioning. There is a bar right across the rd that does make some noice later on in the night.
Other than that no issues.

Service was good , location good for what we needed it for . Clean and friendly only fault was noice from water pipes ( we think ) slightly noisy

I loved the short distance to Kelvingrove Park. Also, lots of different restaurants, grocery shopping facilities and walking distance to City Center.
