Cost was very good. No AC, almost cbuy fans. If going there. Bring own pillows, extra towels. No Tv. Shops are not open, ,no food. Everything shutdown. Take own pillows. Lots of stairs. Walking trail near near by. And park nearby. Bus service stops at 6. No waterfront. Just couple malls. Driving there is crazy. Wish I had kept my hotel reservation. But wanted to be near my daughter. Shower and bath great but tub kind of mouldy around the edges.

Overall amazing experience, the place was very quiet and safe with 3 locked doors before you get to the room. Very friendly staff that made check-in and check-out super easy. Few fast food restaurant options within 2-3 mins drive but not much dining option. The stay experience worth well for the price.

Despite receiving a confirmation for our booking at Grenfell Campus Summer Accommodations through Expedia, there was no room available upon our arrival. The receptionist told us that there was an ongoing problem of miscommunication between booking agencies & the property. Fortunately Expedia was able to reassign us though it was a 1 1/2 hour process and our alternative accommodation did not have a studio kitchenette.

The facility was very clean and the staff were friendly.The room was comfortable but was extremely hot,even when the temp was in the mid teens during the stay.The room temp hovered around 25-27 degrees.The pillow was not comfortable it was basically flat.I purchased a small fan to try to get more comfortable.The room served its purpose and for the price it was very good but make sure you bring a pillow and perhaps a fan

We had a three-night stay in a room with kitchenette. The room itself was spacious and furnished adequately with couch, chairs, desk and dining table. The building was nice and quiet.
When we arrived on a warm (for Newfoundland) day we found the residence building and our room very warm, almost sauna like. When we inquired about it to see if something could be done we were told no, it’s the building design and they can’t control it! Unbelievable!! After an uncomfortable night we found a fan in the room and managed to mitigate the problem by keeping the fan running, widows open and drapes closed.
The kitchenette included a full size frig , microwave, coffee maker and four burner stove, everything one would need, except…..no frying pan, just a wok and some pans, no basic cooking utensils and only two plates. Not even salt and pepper.
The washroom didn’t have anywhere to lay down even a toothbrush, no vanity, nada.
Once we had mastered these drawbacks we had a pleasant stay.

Really hard to find office at night. I got a 3/4 bed, teeny for 2 adults...rough night for $132, car camping might be more comfortable!! But cant fault very seeet check in lady.

I really enjoyed the cost, communal kitchen, and area surrounding the campus. The grass fields with lawn chairs and picnic tables were very beautiful in particular- very welcoming. Upsettingly it was very warm, and actually hotter in the dorms than in other areas on campus. This compelled me to spend money on a fan for a more comfortable stay. I also did not have access to cleaning products and tools, meaning I was not able to keep my space adequately clean for my personal standards. I would have loved to either have a custodian cleaning my space (like at a hotel) or to have a broom handy to at least keep the floor clean of dirt that gets tracked in as it is such a small space.

Check in was OK, but the directions to the room were very poor -- it took us 30 minutes to find and access the room, which was in a different building, with only one elevator and two wings, and construction going on outside. We were eventually helped by someone from Campus Security. It all felt rather like an IQ test! The room itself was OK, but most hosts at least provide salt and pepper in the room and more than 2ml of dishwashing liquid.

Well, you have to update your listing for them as they do not offer free parking or breakfast! Room was unbearably hot and was told they could not control the heat nor did they have a/c! Sorry, but don’t think I could ever stay there again

My stay at Grenfell was good for what it was. I only needed a place to sleep, so it was worth the price. But during the heatwave last week it was WAY too HOT and I had to go and purchase a fan. There wasn't much explanation of what was available to be used at the facility, but as I said, I really only needed the room to sleep in anyway.

The room was still being renovated, the room was very hot, could barely open the windows, no AC, no fan. We bought one. The mattress was terrible with a thin sheet. Hardly got any sleep. Cancelled our second night. Do not stay here.

This hard to find THe building the room is in is hard to get to. Poor parking.

The price was right for a private college summer room. Due to construction and the location of the room, it took about five minutes to carry our luggage up and down stairs, a hill and some long corridors to our room. The signage to the rooms was extremely poor, so we found a campus cop who could lead us to the room. The room was on a poorly heated ground floor so we needed to ask for extra bedding for warmth.

Even though it is dorm accommodations, there were four of us and the utensils were very limited. If I wanted another pot etc I would have had to "rent" them. Towels and face clothes provided were very thin. No television or radio.

Was not pleased that we were charged for parking. Then had to walk quite a distances to the building from the parking area, then a long route throughout the building to find the room. No tv in the room, no extra pillows or blankets. Considering the rates at other accommodations in the local area, next time that is where we will stay. These accommodations are not on par with the local accommodations, therefore, your rates should not be the same. Truly the rates should only

I was glad I chose to stay here! The room was perfect for my needs and was glad to have access to the kitchen! I wasn't looking for anything fancy - just a place to sleep and shower and this was perfect! Will definitely stay here again!

This property is great for families who are on a budget. It’s cheaper then a hotel, you can make and prepare your meals and you each have your own sleeping space. One and 1/2 baths was beneficial too.
The beds are small in length and not really comfortable. But with that said, it was fine for what we needed for a couple nights.
