Did have old carpet, & first room had a dead door lock, but the people are good & my stay was quiet. Everything seemed clean enough. Mini Fridge had a separate freezer good for my diet needs & I'd likely try a monthly deal with them if I could find work in this county.

The room was very large, bed was comfortable. Hotel is older and outside appearance not so good but the room was clean. There was a hole in bathroom door and floor in bathroom had cracks. So could use some repairs. I felt the price was a bit high for what you get. Area was safe.

Older Motel with upgrades make this a comfortable, clean option, nice bedding and pillows, but the bed is harder than we like - may be to your liking. Management gave us an upgrade to a King room and it’s huge! Very hot water and great shower pressure. Very convenient for local appointments and shopping.

The Sundowner booked us in a room with one bed. The cost of this room was the price of a 5 star hotel. Due to medical reasons I needed 2 beds. upon check in they found a 2 bed room and charged us an additional fee that was about $150. SO that made a 2 night stay over $500. They had me over a barrel since I was there for a wedding and drove over 5 hours. Our room was next to the maids room so i heard laundry and doors banging. The staff barely speaks English to none at all.

We were not able to flush the toilet due to the chain inside the tank was broken. The blue tape was holding between the chain and the ball( not sure what it called.) Otherwise, the room was nice.

This is a clean, well run, vintage motel. The kitchen room was perfect, more like an apartment, spacious and well laid out. The rooms are higher than the parking lot, and set back a little, so you don't have the feeling of car noses in front of the windows. Super friendly place, would make a point of staying here again. :-D Thank you!

I was called immediately after booking to be informed that the only room left was really small, and they wanted to make sure I was okay with that. I really appreciated the courtesy, and confirmed that I still wanted to go forward. I don't regret it either; the room was cozy, clean, and had everything I needed for a very comfortable and quiet stay for one night. My only gripe is the price was really high, but the whole area is pretty pricey. It's worth the stay if you want a cozy room close to coffee shops and restaurants, and not too far from hiking and sight-seeing locals.

The room was fine as a base to visit family in the area. The updates were well done and the bed was very comfortable. The iron and ironing board was also a plus. For a motel setting, I was pleasantly surprised at how quiet it was at night. My only suggestions would be for a hairdryer with more power and stronger coffee packets.

We ended up in Sequim not knowing about the big lavender festival weekend. Finding last-minute accommodations was difficult, but we were very lucky to end up at Sundowner. It’s right next to downtown and dome incredible restaurants and coffee houses. This is the only place I will stay again next time I am in Sequim.

Good Motel to stay if you are on a Budget. The rooms are clean and comfortable. But if you can't stand the smell of alchohol and/or cigarette smoke, don't bother checking-in as smell from adjacent rooms or trash pervades into non smoking rooms.

This is a way over priced old motel that has newer furnishings but old run down details such as the bathtub, doors and windows. There is lots of street noise. No amenities such as a pool, breakfast or outdoor landscaping.

The room was HUGE!!! The manager went above snd beyond to help us add a day to our reservation without having to change rooms. Room has nice desk, larger mini fridge, microwave and coffee maker. Nice size for a longer stay or for a travel nurse. Walkable to several restaurants. I would definitely stay here again.

This hotel is nicer than it looks in the pictures! We booked last minute and while pricey, it was clean and the beds were comfy. Clearly under new management, the motel was likely previously all smoking rooms, but the residual old motel smell faded with the AC on and did not linger on clothing. If you stay here, there’s a nice brewery for dinner and a good diner nearby.

The room was full of a musty odor and the carpet was full of stains! The towels appeared clean but we found hairs all over them from previous use. The ac duct was full of dust! A big water heater was locted at the corner of the room and was completely exposed and dirty! The super tiny bathroom had a bathtub which had dirty spots on it! We would not recommend to anyone, it's highway robbery for the price we paid!

It was a big room and had a very comfortable bed and nice desk. The front desk manager (or owner) was very nice. The housekeepers were very polite. I really enjoyed my stay and stayed an extra day. It was very affordable.

The management was friendly, professional and courteous, the room was very clean and comfortable, and for us anyway, a perfect place to enjoy several sections of the Olympic Discovery Trail with our bike!

A great location and the best deal in town. Might look kinda shabby on the outside, but the room was clean, the AC worked, the front desk gent was friendly and its in a great location. You are sandwiched by tons of great options for outdoor recreation. Don't sleep on this place. Sleep at this place.

The bed was comfortable and the couple are lovely that manage or own the hotel. Cleanliness, not so much. I found a penny, pieces of candy, and a crumpled paper on the floor in a couple of different areas. The bathroom door didn’t close properly, although I did manage to close it. The room needs to be repainted as the walls were a bit spotty. There was a very sad chair next to the window. We put it out of it’s misery by covering it with a sheet. A rollaway is not available, but a folding mattress was offered. Perfect for a younger child or possibly small teen. The room is on the smaller side, but well- lit, safe & conveniently located.

This is the second time I’ve chosen this property. The staff are great. A few tiny things detract, eg., shower head and hot water are a tad strange. The facility is clean and the staff are lovely. They “upgraded” me to a king suite. Same as last time. I will definitely be back.

The motel was clean, quiet with good upkeep. The owners were very nice people , obviously proud of their property. There were nice restaurants nearby and a cute while small town nearby. A good place to stay if you are visiting Port Townsend or Port Angeles

I really enjoyed my stay at the Sun Downer hotel. The staff was very courteous and professional in all my conversations with them. The room was very comfortable, large and I felt like I was at home! I am sharing this with all my friends, family, and business Partners. I highly recommend anyone going to a Sequim Washington that they stay at this hotel.
