In our 2-night stay we had no contact with anyone else at the hotel, but could hear othwr guests a little from our room. Check-in was easy with guidance sent in advance, and the room was cleaned well during the day. The accomodation was clean and comfortable, although the common areas were unlit during the day so quite dark. A small amount of shampoo and shower gel was provided, and the room had a kettle. Street parking outside the hotel was free and plentiful (May bank holiday). The hotel is a short walk from the seafront, and a high street with many shops and places to eat.

I spent 3 nights and overall had an enjoyable stay. The room was a good size, very clean, and the bed very comfy. Only slight disappointment was that the advertised fridge was not in the room; I was expecting this to keep drinks cold and for packed lunches. Check in was done online and very easy. Whilst this was quick and efficient it meant the personal touch was lacking and I did not see anyone else during my stay. Great location on the promenade with pubs, restaurants, and the station within walking distance.

Historically interesting, the house was managed at a distance, with access via text message, etc. Most of the reviews related to a different period when breakfasts were served and people greeted you. Bed was comfy apart from one awkward spring, but because of the heat the place needed a really good airing with all the windows open for a while. The cleaning housekeeper was great, and ran after us with something we had left. Glad to visit and good value.

Great little B&B in Lowestoft ideal for short business trips, the rooms and breakfast is a steal at £55. Worth every penny and views in a morning are great!! Peter

After a long day of travelling and working I arrived at Britten House early evening. I was let in by Colin, shown my room, given all the details I needed, and even provided with some advice on the local area to inform my evening run. The room was spacious, clean, and had a nice two seater sofa. The bed is very soft which worried me as I'm used to firmer mattresses but I slept wonderfully and comfortably. Breakfast was really nice and cooked to my liking. If I am down that way again I will definitely be booking back in.

The hosting was great, breakfast was cooked to order and perfect each time. Parking is limited but there is a huge car park across the road at 5 pounds a day one can not complain. We stayed on the first floor and had a view of the ocean and the room was huge and spacious with a fridge and a couch along with the large bed. The bathroom was amazing with the most modern tub shower massage and radio and cool lighting. Right on the ocean and the beaches.

everything was provided, clean room, comfortable bed, quiet location wonderful sea view. breakfast was excellent especially the scrambled egg. owners were friendly and helpful. have stayed in many b&bs this one beats all. will definitely go again

Stayed in the Elgar Suite and attached a couple of pics of the view from my room. Really friendly hosts who were very helpful when I had a slight problem to deal with (not with my stay). Superb quality breakfast in a lovely setting, especially enjoyed the home prepared fruit salad. This trip was for business, I’ll be bringing my good lady for a holiday next time.

The property is right across from the beach which makes it so convenient. The views of the sea are beautiful. Great place to stay, excellent breakfast, rooms are generous size and the towels, you will want to tuck them away in your suitcase. It’s the only place we want to stay in Lowestoft.

Good experience. Nice, big room- was uncomfortably warm when I first arrived (was a summer day), but cooled down with the provided fan. Very tasty breakfast. Internet in the room was fast, but did drop out a few times. Overall would reccomend

Lovely view of the seaside and very close to the sandy beach. Lovely costal walks in both directions. Breakfast was very nice and filling. There was a good choice of home made jams and marmalades which were very tasty.

Great location across from the pier and the beach. Pleasant hosts and wonderful breakfast. Our room was spacious but sadly had not been vacuumed prior to our arrival. Bathroom supplies were not updated daily.

I loved that it is the former home of a composer and that the rooms/suites all had the name of a composer. We stayed in the Vivaldi suit and it was very cute. The bed, linen, floor, towels and bathroom were clean and neat. There was a little fridge on the bedside to use which was very useful as we bought some take away food home. The provided breakfast was lovely as well.

The hosts were more than welocoming and catered for my partly diabled mum perfectly.Breakfast was to die for!! a fanatstic selection and homemade marmalde (I'm not a lover, but mum is so that pleased her :).Over the years I have stayed in many hotels around the world, and was dubious about booking the Britten, I should not have worried..If you are ever in the area' and a room at the Britten is available then snap it up.Thank you from the 5 of us for a wonderful saty

We were in a very nice double room/bedsit overlooking the sea which was so relaxing 😎 If I were to go back to Lowestoft I would definitely consider going to the same place. Colin and Anne (I think their names are) were amazing. They made us feel so much at home and cooked good breakfast for us.
