I love this hotel, Amazing chill out bar, fun, happy, close to town, polite staff and wonderful food.

The place was really good for exploring Coron. A bit off the beaten path but the service is really what puts this hotel above the fold. Highly recommend.

Amazing experience during our stay. All the staff were super nice and attentive. Their rooftop view deck with spa was perfect for sunset.

It’s a beautiful hotel with stellar management and staff. With each day we stayed there, we became more enchanted with the place. I can’t stress this part enough that the service, attentiveness was stellar. It’s perhaps the best hotel we’ve ever stayed at. I had my wife reality check this statement to make sure that I wasn’t exaggerating and making fair comparisons to other great hotels. I have stayed at hotels with incredible facilities such as one at Lake Como, Italy that was breathtakingly beautiful. In this case, it’s the staff. The facilities are smartly designed and it does have pretty landscaping. The staff and managers frequently check with us to verify that everything was good. They made special effort to help us trip planning. They offered a special dinner on our last evening with our favorite Filipino dishes. My wife has health sensitivities to sodium so they always cooked her meal with low sodium and still made it tasty. When are showed up for the special dinner, the scene was amazing. They had a private table set in the grass, overlooking a pool. The candle lite table was surrounded with a canopy of lights and lawn lanterns. We called the cook and staff to our table and tipped them. The next morning they coordinated our pick up to ensure we arrived on time and in comfort for our flight. The manager was even cutting old flight tags off our luggage. What a champ! Look, they were over the top on their service. So, they do deserve this review.

Really nice, new and clean. Slightly odd location but that didn’t impact us as we cabbed everywhere.

We enjoyed our stay here. Warm, accommodating staff, clean and comfortable rooms, and good dining options. The hotel is just 5 minutes away by trike from Coron Town but the property itself is great for relaxing too. Front desk arranged our island hopping tour and airport transfers, making our trip very easy. Breakfast buffet is provided and the hotel offers additional light food and beverages throughout the day for merienda and turndown service. Exceptional communication and customer service skills from the staff. They really make you feel at home. Other hotels need to take note. :-) We will stay here again when we return to Coron.

Excellent staff and service! Beautiful resort !

Excellent staff and property. Everyone was really friendly and helpful. The hotel is clean and very well taken care of. The breakfast buffet was great with different selections every day. The only problem was the WiFi connection…it was non existent more than half the time. You had to go to one of the main areas like the pool and restaurants to get a decent connection. If they can only get the internet connection right, this would’ve been a perfect stay.

I've lived in many hotels/resorts in the US, Europe and Asia. The Funny Lion in Coron offered the BEST customer service experience EVER! Their constant attention to your every need during your entire stay cannot be matched elsewhere. The only problem that I find, through no fault of Funny Lion and its staff, is the amount of what the locals call niknik bugs that Palawan has, both in El Nido and Coron. Make sure to bring your OFF with Citronella. Their head chef used to work for Amanpulo Resorts, the local supervisor Jen was the best I've seen in getting her staff to give us a very wonderful and memorable stay in Funny Lion!

Excellent service.

I have never experienced such wonderful hospitality and attentive staff. This place is a tricycle ride to the center of town so it was quiet and felt safe. They are able to arrange tours which was convenient. They have an excellent restaurant with good breakfast food and a Saturday night buffet with an acoustic singer for entertainment. I would definitely come back to this hotel.

They surpassed all expectations I went with my brother and his wife (it was their second time). It will be the last. The staff was so attentive and focused on ensuring we had an outstanding time. The food was excellent. All first rate

The service staff were extremely helpful and friendly, Nobody could be faulted and it all came across as very genuine. The Frozen Margarita's on the roof top bar were the best we had in all of Coron. A shame the roof top is not open for meals or drinks at lunch time. We had to move to another hotel on our last night because no rooms available at the Funny Lion. But it gave us a chance to compare to another hotel. The Funny Lion wins, hands down.

The staff gave excellent customer service. The explained everything well and catered our needs very promptly. Breakfast ambiance is lovely and food was amazing mix of Filipino and Western. Monica, the dog you will find laying down in the entrance is very chill. We also love her. Overall 5-star for this place.

I had an amazing stay at the Funny Lion Hotel. Their staff are so kind, accommodating and really go the extra mile to make your stay that much better. My stay was at the beginning of the lockdown, when they announced that we had two days till domestic travel would stop. The manager went above and beyond, making phone calls, looking at flights, running around and even trying to find transport off of the island for all his guests. room was big, clean and had a nice bed and bathroom. The restaurants were very nice and the food was great. I would definitely recommend staying here and will be back in the future! :)

I loved the property. No complaints. It was near the pool and the restaurant, which was perfect! Quiet place with extra friendly staff. Would come here again.

The staff was very attentive, they gave us a bottle of wine with a nice happy anniversary made from flowers on our bed. The pool is nice and relaxing, the food was very good and happy hours on the roof top for the sunset view is spectacular.

This is a small hotel but when we arrived we were very hot so the handed us lemonade. I mentioned it was our anniversary so they gave us a free bottle of wine. The fridge in your room is stocked at no additional charge. They DID NOT try to charge us hidden fees. We felt comfortable and welcomed to relax.

This was THE best hotel we stayed in during our month long Philippines trip. The rooms was really nice and were decked out 'jungle' style, the staff were amazing and could not do enough for you, Kenneth in particular was exceptional. Breakfast was the best and most varied we had out of all our hotels. The pool was well kept and the area was well maintained. The only comment here was that there needs to be more chairs as there wasn't enough for all guests. Also the chairs were deck chairs, not sunloungers. This was clearly done for space saving, but it did get a little uncomfortable at times when sunbathing and you wanted to recline, small detail so don't be put off. The restaurant was also very good but easily tripple the price of anything in town. The roof top bar easily has the best view in town and has two jacuzzis on the roof, sitting in one of these with a beer watching the sunset is magical. Overall The Funny Lion is an excellent hotel, it does have a price tag but it's worth it.
