I've stayed at my fair share of poor motels, but this takes the cake. Our second night there, our power blew when I opened the microwave door. We walked to the office to get help, only to find out no one was there. Door locked. There is a number to call to get a hold of someone taped to the door. The number has been disconnected. There was a guy wandering around the place as well, so we talked to him. Apparently he had a room booked that night and had been there for half an hour and couldn't check in because no one was there. Mind you, this was at 6:15pm. Office hours on the door state til 9:30pm. Eventually, he left (assuming to find a new motel for the night), and we saw a housekeeper walking outside. We asked her for help. She went and found the maintenance guy. He was incredibly nice and tried to find the issue. Even the breaker to the room didn't work. So he had the housekeeper go into the office and get us a key to a new room. The office guy never came back. Our hot and cold water handles in the bathroom sink were switched. The bath towels were the size meant for a 5 year old, not an adult, and were horrible. Basically just smeared the water instead of absorbing it. The place is horribly old and outdated. We only had one working outlet in the room which was by the door. The floors were filthy with dirt, crumbs, debris, as if no one vacuumed. I would never stay here again.

Very cozy and peaceful. The staff were very kind and welcoming. They treaeted us like family. The room was perfect for what we needed. Access to the river was very peaceful. Highly recommend!

The young man who greeted us was very kind and welcoming. The view of the river was even prettier than it shows in the pic. It was super easy getting to the casino, and we loved exploring surrounding areas. Family (including canine) loved it too.

Needed a place near Bryson City to stay overnight, this fit the bill. Quaint and clean, beds were comfortable. We didn't use the kitchen, but it had everything needed. Lots of cosmetic upgrades to this 1970s era hotel. Only complaint more convenient electrical outlets could be used, and the bathroom definitely needs a fan. Otherwise, it was clean and comfortable for an overnight stay.

I booked this hotel last minute to be close to a friend staying there so we could sped time. It wasn't until after booking that saw the reviews i was immediately hesitant to keep the reservation at the mention of bed bugs. Since reviews were split we went anyway and my friend assured me she had never had any issues when staying there we decided to go. The room was very cleaned after inspecting mattresses ( under corner and folds) that did have hypoallergenic encased mattresses protectors ( yes I opened them to inspect) we found no bed bugs the properly is dated but clean and taken care of, the young man running it was extremely nice and pleasant. Overall i was pleasantly surprised and will stay again.

My only complaint was u could see air gaps around the door making it hard for the air conditioner to keep up. I absolutely loved the back area with a creek and picnic table and grill. Felt like the good part of camping but with a nice bed to go to.

I love the proximity to the river and the family run nature of Lloyds. Its located perfectly if you want to avoid the cities, which I prefer. The backyard is great and the simple and comfortable lodging is ideal for my purposes. Thanks! Ill be back again. Cheers

The room was nice a clean. But the room was hot, the air conditioner wasnt on. And at night it wasnt coming on that much, and the room got very hot had to go get a fan to keep cool off. The bed was comfortable but to high up for me to get up on. Had to have help to get on it. The bath room was to small couldn't site on the toilet straight had to set on it on the side of it wasnt comfortable at all. You had to be very small to sit on it comfortable. But over all ok room.

The pool was closed which was definitely not made known before booking. The door to the room had a large gap underneath where small rodents, snakes or bugs could have gotten inside. The bathroom was clean, however, the water pressure was not existent and the tub was chilling.

This was the most awful place. The room was not ready and it was 5:30 PM. I found a live bullet on the stairs. Stunk ash trays running over with cigarette buts. Men starring, we felt unsafe.The carpet was so dirty and worn. Pool down for repairs.

The whole reason we chose the hotel was because of the pool but the pool wasn’t in service and hasn’t been all year so they should make it known to hotels.com that everything is as advertised. Power outlets didn’t have proper voltage. The property looked pretty abandoned. We arrived during business hours and no one was in the office

Room was old, hotel run down, don’t think the pool had been open for years, pictures do not even come close to what it really looked like when we arrived. There were people even living there it seemed. Crack haven was the first thing to come to mind. We checked in and within minutes checked out. Trying to request a refund via Expedia but it’s highly unlikely so stopping payment on credit card with a charge back. The owners seriously need to clean the place up or just strike a match! Shame too since it’s right on the river. Has major possibilities if it was cleaned up and get the riff raff out. We paid 150.00 for the night, total highway robbery for what it was!

I am very sorry to have to give a negative review but driving to the location. All the buildings were ran down and uninhibited and very trashy. Once we pulled into the parking lot. The pool had a tarp on it and the area in motel was not in the best of condition so we found a different place to stay.

Keep looking. Bryson City is cute. Bugs are in the room. 2 cockroaches and one blood sucker tick/slug on my bed. I barely slept thinking about the bugs. There’s a hole behind the fuse box in the bathroom and I chased one into his hiding spot in that hole. The advertised kitchenette is a mini fridge, small microwave and coffee maker stacked one on top of the other. It’s not updated and the bath towel is the size of my hand towels at home. Unless it’s the only property left in town, look elsewhere . If it’s your only option and you bring raid , I think you’ll be good .

I liked the poarch that viewed the river, the pic nic tables and grills. Close to town. The room was small. The air-conditioning very loud. Difficulty sleeping.
