We were in R1032 which was ground floor which meant that we had a cockroach infestation which we discovered on our second day. (We arrived in late). Complained about the issue and were told that we could swap to another ground floor toon which would have had the same cockroach issue. They sprayed once but it did not solve the problem. During our 6 night stay I killed ten cockroaches. The attitude of staff in the main was indifference except for night reception Bradley who did try to move us to a first floor room which was blocked by his manager.. all told a nice holiday ruined …

Nice 3 star hotel, exceeded our expectations considering we didn't expect the best conditions after reading the reviews. Yes, it is a lot of stairs and hills but we didn't mind it, it was good exercise. We had an amazing breakfast every morning at the sister hotel, which is connected to Los Olivos, so it could be the same hotel. Fresh omelet cooked on order, pancakes, breads, meats, English breakfast, plentiful for everyone. Dinner menu not amazing, but plenty of choice, we tried it a couple of nights, and it was tasty. We even had entertainment one evening, good fun. The gym was all right, if you want to exercise. Very impressed with the swimming pool, warm every evening when we used it, generally staff was very friendly and trying to help. Our apartment was great, AC, kitchen with everything you need, we cooked a few times and it was perfect. The sofa is slightly dirty and old but my daughter was happy sleeping on the pull out bed. Two terraces, one as balcony, the other one on the roof. Beach 5 min walk, supermarket 2min, we really enjoyed our stay.

+ great location
+ good breakfast
+ very nice exterior of the hotel
- rooms are very very basic
- bed was not very comfortable
- my room felt like furniture were missing making the room not cozy

Great hotel, clean & spacious rooms with really comfortable beds, air-conditioning was amazing, food was fantastic, couldn't fault the fresh breakfast buffet, maids were in every other day, staff were friendly & very helpful. Day of departure was 12 noon check-out, but they provided us with a free room for a shower & change of clothes before we made our way to the airport later that night, all free of charge.
The only negative i can give about this hotel is that our apartment was one of the furtherest away rooms from the reception & it was a bit of a walk up many sets of stairs & ramps to get to as its on a hill & a bit of a maze at first to find, so be prepared for trek to your apartment, but couldn't fault anything else regarding our stay, all the positives out weighed the only single downside to this complex.
Would definitely stay here again.

Los Olivos was a nice hotel, we had a few problems at check in with the room. And although tough to sort out with the night desk we got moved eventually. After that everything was great. Food was good and constantly refreshed with new food which meant we knew when we eat the food hadn’t sat there for hours.
The sky bar was great and nice to have one free drink up there to enjoy it.
Hotel is right next to the beach and options for trips out were great.

Los Olivios is a potentially beautiful destination. It is looking very tired and in need of work to bring it back up to the standard you would expect.
Paint was dripped on the tiles in the bathroom, the door was in disrepair, needing paint and the lock tightened. Pool has lots of black mould and huge numbers of missing tiles.
The Expedia description said upper floor with AC. When we arrived we spent first night on lower floor with no AC - it was an oven!
It took 4 visits to reception and several conversations to resolve the issue - the manager was good about this and was aware of the issue.
Parking - after one extremely rude gentleman receptionist - glasses, stubbly beard, we parked on the upper road for free, you can park on yellow lines outside hotel 3pm - 8am for free too. - half the distance to their parking lot priced at €10 per day but you have to go between 10am and 6pm to get this otherwise you pay the €22 normal day rate (about a 7-8 minute walk)
Breakfast was fantastic, polite staff and very clean / tidy and well organised.

For a 3 star hotel, it has great facilities, close to amenities. Fañabe beach and playa del duque walking distance. The front of house staff is ok. Could do with a bit more hospitality. The rooms were good. House keeping every 2 days. Not a problem, just keep tidy. The food is AMAZING, local produce and something for everyone. For what it is, it is a very good property/hotel.

Was a bit worried given other reviews here but a nice pleasant hotel given the star rating and cost. Had a great time using this as a base for a family of 3.
Positives: Brilliant location, decent pool area, good breakfast, nice rooms, pleasant staff.
Negatives: no air con (not an issue for us in February but could be in summer), dinner a bit samey and fairly average, cleaning of rooms only every few days and our towels got replaced with small ones.
Overall happy and would use again given the cost and location.

Only 20 mins from the airport. Great location, right on the prom. Lots of dining and supermarket options nearby. Reception staff could have been a bit friendlier, majority were ok but some a bit abrupt. Breakfast options were great, had all the various options anyone could really need. Staff there were efficient. Room was clean, only downside was we were given a room with balcony in the ground floor right next to the car park shutters so a bit noise from them and no balcony view although didn’t bother us as we were out most of the time with friends. Overall a positive experience.

On arrival the property seemed clean and overall lovely. The location was great. We arrived at around 4pm so we decided to just drop our bags quick change and head out.
When coming back to our apartment we noticed ants in the kitchen and the pull out bed was broken also the shower did not get hot. When going to deal with it we were told there was no1 on site to sort out our problems and they would be dealt with. The following evening we went back to reception to report nothing had been dealt with and we were also missing pillows and sheets ect. The night receptionist rudely got a pillow cover went and got a pillow from the reception sofa bearing in mind what many people sit on daily hot and sweaty and stared to aggressively put the pillow in the cushion cover as to where we point blank refused to use that. Anyway we just dealt with the sleeping situation and accepted our issues would not be resolved. We were all inclusive and found little option for vegetarians but overall the food was ok same with the drink it wasn’t much extra to go all inclusive so we were content with what we had paid. The beach club was great a nice vibe, busy and lovely scenery. You have to pay 20 euro to lend towels and you got this back only if you provide the paperwork that comes with it which we weren’t told this when getting the towels luckily we had kept it in the room or a refund wouldn’t be given. There did seem to be alot nicer rooms than ours but unfortunately I wouldn’t stay again

Apart of construction work, everything else was perfect as usual

While expectations were relatively low being a three star hotel at this price point they were still far from being met during our stay.
The hotel and room itself were not finished to a high standard. A number of plug sockets were either broken or loose from the wall which may pose a safety risk.
Building work was constantly being carried out on site at all hours and towards the end of our stay large swathes of the hotel were sectioned off to accomodate the miss universe event being hosted here. Much of the restaurant and reception were off limits and we were made to feel like second class citizens in the hotel while the contestants for this event were seemingly prioritised in all instances. Additionally, we were not forewarned or notified about the presence of this event being held here which would have influenced our choice to stay here.
During our stay we had a number of visits to our room. One included a spanish speaking maintenance team which insisted on inspecting the lock on our door with no regard for the fact that neither my partner or myself were clothed appropriately. We received a second visit from a mysterious indiviual who questioned me regarding who I'd booked our stay through and how much we had paid, with little explanation or additional context.
Although selecting an all inclusive package for 7 nights we decided to eat out 90% of the time due to the food on offer being of a low quality.
Basic amenties such as the room safe were an additional charge.

Excellent, friendly and very helpful reception staff throughout our stay. Rooms as per description and we had a lovely seaview. Pool lovely. Downside is that pool chairs are crammed in next to each other. Great location.

The receptionist was pleasant but buzzed around a million miles a minute, seemed like customers were taking him away from more pressing matters on his computer. At one point we were waiting to get refunded for towels and there was a 30 min wait in a lobby full of people at 9pm. I would suggest 2 reception staff at peak hours as people were visibly upset. We weren't given proper directions to our room or told that there was a more convenient entrance that would have avoided us having to lug bags around the property in sweltering heat. Wifi barely worked, when we mentioned it we were always told someone was working on it - had to turn on my roaming and use my phone data to check-in for our flights home. Our room was a good size for us and 1 child, the beds were comfortable however we had little bugs all over the counters from the day we arrived until we left and no AC. In 9 nights on day 4 we asked for maid service to get new towels and she just rehung our dirty ones from the floor and never gave us more TP. We had half of a roll left, asked reception for more and they only gave us 1 so we had to go ask for more before we left. The breakfast was decent (great fresh croissants) but dinners were poor quality, cold food and poor options so we went out most nights. If you are half board they essentially ignore you and even water isn't included with dinner. We asked about parking said we'd pay but kept being told to try free parking in the area (which is blocks away uphill).

The property itself had everything you would need for a holiday and our apartment had a gorgeous roof top terrace that was a lovely surprise!
The rooms are a little more minimal than the pictures but they are spacious, clean and the air con was amazing! For me it covered all basis.
But there were a couple points that I feel let the place down, when I arrived I was given pretty vague directions to my room which was at the very back of the hotel and hard to find with a 23kg case to drag around, it would be a huge help if someone could try to show people to their room when it’s passed a certain point in the resort. When I got into my room I couldn’t work out the safe, tried to phone down but the phone in my room wasn’t working and neither was the wifi. I told reception about these issues and after a few reminders a technician was sent on day 2. Who couldn’t fix the wifi, he told me none of the phones in the resort were working and that was that. Nobody came after that, so for a 4 night stay I had no wifi or phone. I was out a lot so this wasn’t a huge issue but I think these are basics that the resort need to work on.
I also think charging for the use of a safe needs to be looked at, that’s a pretty basic requirement for guests and I was surprised to be asked to pay for the usage.
All being said I would return to the resort, as I did think the apartment was good value for money and the location was incredible. But those little points would make all the difference!

Check in was poor with the hotel having no record of the Hotels.com booking. We stayed only a few hours to have somewhere to change for a late flight. Door lock was a problem. Insufficient sunbeds for the size of the hotel. Other facilities okay but nowhere to get drinks or food as couldn’t cross past the pool in day shoes. We return in July but will stay somewhere else.

Excellent break, reception staff very friendly, wonderful location

I would stay again without a doubt, very relaxing place, staff were great, apartments were cleaned regularly.

Good value for money, especially if you select one of the refurbished top-floor apartments with balcony AND roof terrace. The views across the the sea to La Gomera, especially of the sunset, are incredible. You can also see the peak of Mount Teide when clouds aren't obscuring the mountains. Isidro, on reception, was always very helpful and friendly and is a credit to the resort! The lady who heads up reservations was also very friendly and helpful. You can use the facilities of the more expensive Lagos de Fanabe, which is the sister resort of this complex.
Travelling during Covid-19 isn't the most fun but, although they have very good measures in place, for those who would like them, but they are not draconian or over the top, unlike other places. This is great for those who aren't scared of their own shadow!
The temperature of the water in the pool in October is warm and inviting and the sea is a 1 minute walk from the hotel and the surrounding area is quiet and more upmarket than the resorts just to the south.
For the price, you would struggle to find much better in the area.

Not a good start to stay, were given an uncleaned room, not good re covid, they changed our room, but we had to go back to reception to get keys, one of which did not work, pool towels, yet again another trip to reception as need to pay a deposit, rooms are basic, need a refresh, but had everything we needed, small kitchen, roof terrace, sea view, comfy bed, excellent location, great staff

We had a great stay in Los Olivos in strange times, due to Covid-19 restrictions. The resort was very quiet but all the staff were friendly and worked hard to give a positive experience. The room was dated but very clean. Our upper floor room had it’s own private sun terrace which was perfect for keeping us socially distant during the day until happy hour at the pool bar. Overall we had a lovely relaxed holiday, recommended

Having stayed there before which was good ,this time there was no WiFi in the room for the whole stay ,having asked a few times why was told it will be on tomorrow, this never happened, they did not supply shower gel or shampoo which they said they would ,might sound minor but not doing what they said ,I felt the staff on reception needed to lighten up , as they always seemed grumpy perhaps more training ,havin had various public houses this customer service needs improvement, they need to address this for a come back factor , do not take people who have spent a lot of money on there holiday for granted , to be honest I felt this in a lot of bars and restaurants near this resort , improve or we won’t be coming back

Great hotel, pools, bar etc, shame the beds were so uncomfortable.

Value for money accommodation, we stayed in a new studio room 2013, spacious and well equipped,No.lifts so those with mobility issues take note, we were only b&b ,which was fine ,if a bit busy at times . 200 yds from the beach and shops. The pool area is great ,lovely bar there as well.TIp: if you want a sunbed ,get down by 930/10 ,you can also use the pool.area in Lagos hotel ,which is joined by a small walk way .
We loved it here ,and will 100% use again
