This resort was great! Let me just say the life guards are great at their job. So much fun for the whole family. We would definitely go back! But please please do not waste your time with the people trying to get you to buy time shares they are crooks. Jeanie actually tried to get me for $17,000

Overall the facility is nice with very convenient shuttle service for easy movement with little ones.

Family had a great time. The only issue was that the water park at the hotel was out of service, but we were given access as part of our package to the other water parks at no cost. Great place!

Very thin walls and ceilings. I had to ask for towels multiple times before they arrived at the room. There was a water main break and water was completely shut off with no communication for several hours. Our room phone didn’t work and there was no attempt to fix it while we were there. Just overall an unprofessional experience for the money

Had sewage leaking from the ceiling when we got back from swim park and was told at 10 pm with my four kids they had nothing they could do for us and said i could go to another hotel. Had to speak with higher manager and finally got another room for the two days we were booked. Iwas promised 25% off for the whole ordel and got no discount at check out. This hotel needs some serious maintenance because it was unhealthy.

We were very dissapointed with our stay. The hotel beds were terrible in both of the 2 units, the pool at our building was completely drained so we couldn't use it. The Starbucks was only open for a couple hours. During check-in I had to show the front desk my screen shots of the confirmation showing 2 units booked online and they said the system only showed 1 unit and it took 30 minutes and 3 staff members for them to figure it out. Never apologized for taking so long or arguing even though my screenshots had the dates and units, number of guests and conformation. I asked if my kids could at least go play while they found our reservation but she said no. It was really a huge mess. I had family here from California and it was very dissapointing.

Great location and water parks. Might have left a back pack in room or parking lot. Waiting for reply

It was a great stay just sad not everything was opened so I feel the price should of been cheaper since you didn’t get to enjoy the hole water park and they never said anything before booking the hotel

Great value and comfortable and quiet. Im sure its crazier in the summer but we had a great time with the amenities and food that was open. This family will be back!

Everything was really good. The hotel room was clean and comfortable. The registration staff was super friendly and helpful. The waterpark was fun for the kids. The only complaint I had was the strong chlorine smell in the waterpark. It was so strong my husband and I both left with stinging eyes and a bit of a headache and we didn’t even get in the water.

It was okay for the most part. Didnt like the fact that our hotel keys were deactivated before check out time.

The bathroom in the room was very dark. They sent maintenance up and he said it's because the light fixture was old and stained. That was it. He ledtandwe took dark showers and dumps

Great stay!

The hotel and waterpark offer a great setting for family stays, but it would benefit from a thorough cleaning. The hallway carpets were stained, and the rooms lacked sufficient furniture for storage. Nonetheless, the service provided was excellent. A significant drawback was the challenge of finding available chairs at the waterpark.

My family and I came and stayed at Wilderness at the Smokies for Spring Break 2024. The first night we were able to take the kids down swimming for about an hour or so because the waterpark closed at 9 (didnt know this until we got down there). After that we wanted to take the elevator to the second floor where the shops and grills are located (my mom had a double knee replacement and can't take the steps). We all loaded into the elevator and pushed the button for the second floor. The elevator moved but when we got to the second floor the doors wouldn't open. My daughter who is 12 started freaking out. I then told my nephew to push the button to go back down to floor 1, the elevator again moved but the doors would not open. I then told my nephew to push the door open button. Thankfully the doors opened and we were able to get out. However, when I went to the desk in the waterpark and told them about this incident the gentleman rolled his eyes at me and acted like I didn't know what I was talking about. We then went back to our room and never did return to the waterpark because it closed early and we wanted to explore around Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. There were multiple times that the elevators had an out of order sign on the doors and it was sometimes difficult to catch an elevator to even get down to the main floor. For the price of the rooms, the definitely did not meet expectations.
Also, if you are over weight don't plan on using the waterslides bc they weight you.

I was a little disappointed in our stay at Wilderness at Smokies Stone Hill Lodge. First, the main lobby hallway (3rd floor) smelled like baby diapers filled with feces, as we walked to get to the elevator. Second, the hotel room was smaller than expected, and the bathroom was even smaller. Literally, only one person at a time could fit in the bathroom. The toilet paper holder continuously came off the wall. Also, we asked for a patio/balcony room.
The screen to the patio would not lock, and it appeared to be slightly off track. Third, the only water park that was open was the indoor Wild Water Dome, and I was looking forward to my teenage daughters being able to experience all of the water parks. Last, we ran out of toilet paper and called guest services. After 10 minutes of not receiving the toilet paper, we called a second time asking if we should come get the toilet paper. The guest service personnel told us we just have to wait for it to be brought up. Since I needed to use the restroom, I went to the front desk, and they immediately gave me toilet paper. About 30 minutes later guest services was knocking on the door with toilet paper. For the price we were charged, I definitely think an upgrade of the rooms and carpet is necessary. The one good thing I can say is our floor was very quiet, and we were able to rest well after being out and about all day. I'm not convinced that my family and I will visit again.

The indoor waterpark and other amenities were great. The room was a bit smaller than expected, and the pull out sofa bed was extremely uncomfortable.

My only real complaint is that the bathroom is tiny and dark. Complete tight quarters and there wasn’t a good light in the bathroom. Hotel is definitely older and some stuff is outdated however it is super clean. The waterpark was supposedly warmed to 84 degrees. However it was cold. I did complain and was told that maintenance would be notified. However it was still cold the next day. The lazy river was warm thank goodness.

We thoroughly enjoyed spring break here! The location was great and every hotel building had things to do in it. Its very close to the strip where there's tons of stuff to do as well. The wave pool and lazy river were our favorite and we enjoyed an arcade night with laser tag. Our room was very clean and house keeping did a great job bringing fresh towels and linens. We are already planning to return for fall break or next years spring break.

There was clothes in the drawer from another guest that was in the room before us , so that shows that housekeeping doesn’t check everything so makes me feel like they half clean .. then the wood on the bed is sticking out my grandson cut his toe on side of headboard

Everyone was very kind and it was so easy to relax and have fun! The water was comfortable and the rooftop pool was awesome

Tiny rooms and bathroom. Shuttle service was spotty at best. A lot of money for shabby, dirty, dusty, outdated rooms. 80.00 for I day breakfast. Prices are insane for the level of service received. Only convenience was hotel is attached to convention center. We will NEVER stay here again.

Check in was fairly uneventful everyone was nice. The room was located all the way in the back. When we got to the room it was very combact. Bathroom very small only had 1 light with Fan in it. Light wasn't bright. Room light was also awful not bright either. The shower had an empty shampoo bottle.on the top and the drawer had starbursts from who knows when. Also a child toy under the bed from a baby we had teens.

I brought my kids here for their spring break and we enjoyed ourselves immensely. I loved how we didn't even have to leave the property to eat lunch or dinner. I did think the food was pricey but being able to stay on property made that an easy choice. The Stonehill lodge rooms in my opinion do need a dire update and the shower was terrible but otherwise everything was great.

We had ages 3 months to 9 years old along with parents and grandparents. We all had a great time. The facilities were clean and staff was very helpful. Everything was there and didn’t need to leave unless you wanted. The only thing might be more space for storage up higher out of reach of our two year old.

We liked the varieties of water attractions. Was a bit too much of a bleech smell in the air inside the water park. I guess they use it for disinfecting the water a lot. Like first 30 minutes my lungs were almost hurting from the smell of it. Then we got use to it. Could have more food options. But overall great)

It was clean. The beds were comfortable. The lighting was very dim especially in the bathroom. The bathroom was also very small.

The staff was great. Checkin took a while they need more people at the check in desk at check in time.
We stayed on 3rd floor and it sounded like people were running laps above us. We called front desk and they said quiet room time was 11 pm. That’s really late when you’re trying to get a toddler to sleep.
The shuttles and staff were kind and friendly as well as any restaurant staff we talked.
For the cost of the stay there I would think they would upgrade the carpet/floors. It looks worn and dated. But I do know this is not a brand new resort.

Very crowded! Very expensive!

It is a good area to vacation if you know how to deal with the deep South persona. I had a good experience but the hot water did not work well the first night and the second night did not work at all and visiting the nearby antique stores I do not suggest anybody who's of a another ethnicity other than Caucasian to visit there they will not show you respect and they look at you like they want to do something to you it is the racism and real life in the surrounding areas

Outdated rooms, horrible beds, noisy, cold pools, dirty water

Overall the stay was enjoyable. We enjoyed being attached to the convention center for our cheer competition, but was very underwhelmed with the water park options. The room was good but the bathroom was very small. We were told there were 2 restaurants where kids eat free with the purchase of an adult meal but come to find out it was for ages 3 and under. Overall just very expensive for everything with little options.

The water park was amazing. The room was pretty bad. We had to walk what felt like a mile to find an elevator that went to our floor(?), the lighting in the room was terrible and the bathroom was genuinely rough. The light and fan were on one switch. The fan sounded like a plane crashing and the light flickered multiple times before it would switch on. Every time. So needing to use the bathroom in the middle of the night scared my children. We were also woken multiple times by people walking on the floor above us. I understand hotels can’t control the noise level of other patrons but this was abnormally loud.

Very pricey but the kids had fun! Hate they took out the walkout hot tub but love the rooftop pool!

Very rude uninvited staff. Specifically a lady named Brandy at the front check in desk. Very very rude and not called for.
