While not the newest property, the rooms were very well equipped for any traveler. It was clean and easy in, easy out. Covered parking is a plus.

This has to be the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. As far as I could tell, the sheets were clean and there was not obvious dirt or grime. With that said, everything else in the room was damaged, significantly stained, or poorly installed. This includes the lamp shades being obviously damaged severely, chipped lamp bases, a large hole in the wall, what looked like blood stains on the bed skirts, severely stained chairs, a completely broken and poorly repaired sink, chipped frames on the mirrors (what were installed with exposed screws, a screw in the side of the mini fridge, and a poorly installed (loose) bath insert in the shower. The front office person was nice and they allowed a late checkout (that was only 1 hour). On the outside, near the north side of the property, in the garage, they are using the area as storage and it is very unsightly. The elevator is disgusting. During my stay, there also seemed to be a lot of shady people hanging out outside. Overall, the property appears to have been bought by owners that run it with minimal expense and effort (ghetto storage, weird red paint throughout, old and damaged appliances). Luckily we did not contract anything from this place. I have no idea how they have an 8 rating (maybe they have a review farm they’ve contracted or have changed owners from the ones that earned that rating). It was cheap though. So, if you want some adventure and don’t have any money, you could give it a try. Otherwise avoid!

Not a lot of options for Englewood, picked this based on the reviews. Property is run down and does not look like the photos. Front office was not staffed at check-in had to call the number for service. Discarded furniture, equipment and appliances in the garage. Graffiti in the elevator. Room was clean but one of the towels had stains on it. Lots of road noise if your room faces McCall road.

The property was misleading in the photos. The pool area looked cozy and clean but when we arrived it was run down and the surrounding area was overgrown and not pleasant. Rooms were clean but overall just a mediocre place to stay. Nothing special I can say.

The motel is next to a road that gets busy in morning and night. Get room away from road. My room was updated and spacious. Mattress could use some updating. Spent $119.00/night. Was convenient for business in the area. Nicer places in Punta Gorda. Not a whole lot in Englewood.

I would not give this four stars. It’s a working motel. On the side of a road. Though relatively clean, they could’ve done better as is evident on the bathroom door. This area is not known for its hotels.

The place is out dated very old looking inside the rooms, the bedspreads are disgusting the shower was not even attached to the wall. No closet my dresses were hanging on the floor. Broken seal around the toilet area. The rooms are very boring not a Happy place to stay or to recommend to family or friends. I had a dirty uncomfortable feeling when we entered the room.

The floor looked new, but the walls were worn in the ceiling head holes in it. For the most part of the property is rundown. The pool area seemed nice being close to the major highway. It was a bit noisy.

The owner was knocking at the door at 10:59 am making sure our checkout was not a minute late. Not acceptable after spending many consecutive nights here. Also found sand in the bed indicating sheets were not properly cleaned.

Overall, we liked staying here, the place was clean, and quiet, and the staff was friendly and did a good job cleaning the room. We would stay here again.The price was the lowest - by >$100/night - we found. The downsides: it's NOT "fancy". It is very "spartan" - no carpet anywhere, minimal furniture in room, bathroom door lock was on the wrong side of the door. Probably not everyone's cup of tea, but it met our needs, and was quiet, clean, and friendly.

This is an older hotel and the furnishings were in poor condition. The mattress definitely needs replaced. The bedding felt "damp" and the next morning when the tile floor was wet we figured there was a definite moisture issue. On a positive note, the bathroom was renovated and plenty of hot water but not a good experience.

While walking up to my room, the man that checked me in beat me to it. He came out with an ozone machine. The room still smelled of smoke. The lamp shade was broke, ceiling was falling in and the faucets were stained and filthy. The end tables still had cup rings and stains as well. It was a very depressing room. I went back down immediately and was refunded my money.
