Very secure and safe buildings, very organized and helpful staff. We had a great time at our stay. While the pool's aren't anything extravagant, they are nice, well taken care of and offer nice privacy. Each building has its own pool as well so they're never busy. We would definitely stay here again, the staff went above and beyond to help us enjoy our stay in bucerias. Great place to stay

Very clean, large, beautiful suites. Nice pools, pool in building two is the biggest and nicest. Very well maintained grounds. Jorge was very helpful and thorough with check in, maid staff very friendly. Great stay in Bucerias, we will be back!

Oasis away from so many tourist. Both good experience for couples or family. Proximity to restaurants, bars, town center.

First time visiting Bucerias. Our stay was pleasant ant Casa Damian. All of their staff were attentive and kind. Various restaurants to choose from. Although we were told we would receive a 10% discount at Cafe de Bucerias, 5% was given. Beach is at a walking distance. We enjoyed watching the many iguanas that were lounging on a tree across the street from our room. Pool water was very warm.

The pool was very warm almost hot tub temp. The golf carts were all out of comission. No dish soap or cloths to wash dishes. We received no discount at Cafe de Bucerias like we were told and we ate there 5 times.

Beautiful small complex. Close to restaurants and the beach. Loved the feel of this property. Staff were accommodating and amazing.

This was our second time at this location. We loved it last year and it did not disappoint this year. Everyone was helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable about the area. We had a great time.

We stayed in the Don Paulino 2 bedroom suite. Its a decent room although it is on the main ground flloor in one of the buildings. This area does not have its own pool so we had to walk to adjacent areas to enjoy pool. Room was clean and spacious. We did have some issues within the room itself. The room safe was not working. Be aware that the plumbing was installed backwards for your hot/cold water. We weren't left any cleaning supplies for dishes or soap for the dishwasher. There is no washer or dryer in suite. Another thing to mention is this room has no balcony to it. We were disappointed to find this out when we arrived. It did have some good/bonus things to the complex though. Nice pool area, use of a bbq ( could have used an upgrade) , it appears that the building we stayed in was eventually getting an elevator installed ( started but on hold?) and a hot tub on the roof also there but not installed or running. This hotel does supply guests with golf carts to use( another serious upgrade needed. Several units not working). They supply you with beach chairs, umbrellas and bikes for guests to use which we did. Overall its a decent place but does require some work to the aging amenities.

The suites and property are clean and well maintained. It's nice to have access to bicycles and beach umbrella and chairs.

Incredible helpful host owner Jorge with fantastic support from Arnoldo and others. Very spacious clean room with full kitchen and 2 full bathrooms. Clean comfortable pool and seating areas. Easy access to all restaurants and the ocean with lawn chairs and umbrella provided. Couldn’t be better.

We have stayed at Refugio del Mar three times over the past year. The rooms have always been very clean, excellent customer service from check-in to check-out, and a great location in Zona Dorado. Lots of dining options nearby and a shorth walk to the beach. We always enjoy our stay at Refugio!

We met a lot of travellers staying at the property and had some great conversations about where to go and what to do. We've been to Bucerias many times and this property stands out as one of the best. The food at the El Cafe Bucerias is excellent and the pricing is on point as well. The Japanese restaurant Mikoh is next door to the hotel and it was excellent as well. We travelled with our 12 yr old daughter and she enjoyed this property very much! Lastly, the complimentary golf cart use to get groceries or bring beach chairs and umbrellas down to the beach is a really nice touch. We also enjoyed the complimentary use of the bicycles. Excellent linens in the bedrooms, in-suite laundry, full kitchen and lovely, large extended patio gives this property an A from us!

Great vacay, very clean, comfy bed, great location. Building 3 was away from the bustle of traffic & the pool was great. Needed more pool furniture and up top, more comfy chairs. Jorge and staff were friendly & efficient. Restaurant was competitive prices & very good food & coffee! Close & convenient walk to beaches & shopping.

Hotel staff are very nice and helpful, they were always available to help when we had a question or needed a taxi. The hotel had everything we needed and was comfortable. There was alot of construction around the hotel so it was very noisy all of the time even at night. The hotel restaraunt was ok service was a bit slow and they even forgot to bring me my coffee. The neighborhood was very cool and the beach was walking distance. I love bucerias and would definately return to this hotel and recomend to anyone.

I love the old world charm of this hotel. The grounds were clean and beautiful. Easy walk to anywhere. Will stay again!

This is the second time I’ve been at Refugio Del Mar and it did not disappoint! Lovely clean room and great service. The pools are clean and restaurant serves good food.

I liked that each building had its own unique area and that we were able to access any building and use any of the pools. Our studio suite was a good size and nicely decorated.

Second time staying here when in Bucerias. Just as good second time! Would highly recommend it.
