Delicious breakfast.

This hotel is clean, safe and in a good location. Walkable from the bus station and far enough away from the very centre of the city but a short safe walk. Breakfast is adequate and served on a lovely terrace. The common areas and pool are nice. I think it provides good value. My only negative comment is that the front desk staff are not very friendly. They are polite, but not overly helpful. One wonders why they are working in the hospitality sector.

First time in Oaxaca, hotel personnel service was fairly good. Kitchen staff friendly provided great customer service, food selection for breakfast was fair with good flavors.

Very nice staff, easy checkin, rooms are nice, clean and comfortable. Breakfast included, beautiful pool and grounds. Hotel us good walking distance to many shops, cafes, and markets.
The bed was less than comfortable however.

Not one to usually write a bad review but the bed meant both my wife and I had a terrible nights sleep every night, it was so bouncy that any movement from either of us woke the other. The air con was very noisy as well. The 5-10 mins for water to heat feels like a waste of water and ended up having cold shower anyway. We came back one evening and asked whether a drink was available, they insisted on having the money in cash that evening and wouldn’t put it to the room, as we didn’t have cash at the time we had to just leave it.
Overall it’s a cute hotel, which is well located but can’t stand having a bad sleep.

The property was extremely clean but the staff was a bit COLD and I felt that they did not want to help the guests.
Despite that they were pleasant and the place was very clean.
8.0
The property is nice and quiet from the busy street but walkable to the main street.

The casa is located outside the center. But with working distance to everything in 15 min. Breakfast was very simple. The reception was determined.

Beautiful hotel with oasis like pool. Breakfast was included and was delicious and was served in an upstairs patio overlooking the pool. Super convenient location and walkable to many of Oaxaca’s famous neighborhoods. Would definitely recommend and stay here again.

Lovely hotel, room large and had all we needed but a little dark. Breakfast was okay, not tons of choice but enough and everyday the cooked options changed. Very nice area, easy walk to shops and Zocola.
The staff were okay but hard to find as seems just 1 giy on duty to do everything.
Overall would stay again.

This was ostensibly a great place! Dipping in the pool during the hottest part of the day was a nice way to have a siesta… The bed was super soft - not in a good way. While we were there they were dealing with some issues with their AC. Of the two nights we stayed we only had working AC for one. They made no offer to make up for the technical failure… Suffice it to say, we didn’t sleep well that night. But, staff was super communicative and helpful. So, if the AC is working - decent place!

Everything was great, friendly & helpful staff, room was as shown on pictures, pool was clean, breakfast was delicious and filling. Lots of plants, makes you feel secluded from the city. Everything is no more than 15 min walking distance. Parking lot is safe with decent space.
The only problem, and I understand is out of their hands is the power outages that are very frequent, so I would make sure this is fixed before I go back, but for sure I would go back. Thank you!

Cute little hotel a short walk from the sites of Oaxaca. Staff were very helpful when we wanted to visit Monte Alban by cab (rather than a proper tour), arranging a pick up and return journey. Nice pool area. Breakfast was very average.
As others have said, interior rooms are small (but good storage) and not much natural light.
Quiet area but never felt unsafe. Among the busiest part of town in 10 mins.

We like it a lot, except for one mayor thing, no elevator, for us Seniors, going up and down stairs is to much. Everything else is great. The night shift concierge very nice en helpful 👌

Hotel location is great.
Guest service is good they do their best and us excellent.
Dont recommend to take a vehicle to their parking, yiu wont be able to come back late or try to leave early. Because you'll need to pay for after hours. To me was ridiculous te amount the money you have to pay.
After all courtesy is horrible
No management on site

I selected this hotel because it met my basic reqs, and had free breakfast and pool. Bed was a little hard, towels a little itchy, but exactly what i paid for. Very happy i stayed here.

Nice room with another basic amenities. The staff was helpful, the place was very clean. The pool area was also very pleasant.
Great breakfast cooked to order by some nice ladies. The only thing missing was drinks and beers by the pool not being offered.

Very comfortable large room, large bathroom with shower. Closet and shelves. Microwave and refrigerator. Nice pool area. Good breakfast. Could use a firmer mattress. Great location

Perfect location - walkable to center of city. The hotel was very clean and the staff was amazing. Daily morning breakfast staff were so sweet and happy. We would stay again.

Well maintained and vey clean property. Loved the crisp white sheets. Walkable to Zocalo and San Domingo. Pool was on the small size and a bit warm for my liking but very pretty setting. Breakfast staff were lovely but not a lot of variety in food. Also we did not find much in the immediate area for restaurants. Suggest having some snack and drinks available on site. Our check in was a little rough as we didn’t know how to access the property and it took a while till another guest came and let us in. We were standing the street in the dark for about 15 mins knocking on windows and doors to get attention.

Casa del la Tía Tere is a gorgeous spot very close to but not in the middle of the main tourist hub of the Oaxaca. The grounds and architecture of the building are beautiful and well-appointed. The rooms are spotless. A delicious and well balanced breakfast is served on a lovely terrace amidst greenery and hummingbirds.

Located near lots of restaurants, bakeries, and tour busses. Nice comfortable property with excellent breakfast options.

Charming hotel , nice bungalows! Would recommend if you are looking for a safe quiet stay in Oaxcaca. A bit of a walk to the main square . But not a problem .

Wow this place is seriously swank. Our adjoining rooms were enormous!! Everything was nice about this hotel, the heated pool, the staff, the location.

This place is perfect. Clean, location and staff are just great. If you are looking for a quiet place to enjoy the city, this is the right place.

Oaxaca is a lovely small city. It was difficult for us as we do not speak Spanish. Most people in Oaxaca do not speak any English. The hotel has English speakers and is close to the zocalo, the center plaza with restaurants and other activities. The breakfast was adequate each day. There were cooking facilities in our room but we did not use them. There was free coffee and tea throughout the day in a little dining area. The pool was clean and refreshing. We ate out every evening as the town center was half a mile away. We took English speaking tours which are available by Innova tours. Great week in Oaxaca

Friendly, quick, seamless check-in and Check-out.
Staff awesome and very helpful, knowledgeable.

We had a wonderful stay at the hotel Tia Tere. The building is a colonial home that was turned into a hotel. You can still see the architecture of the patios and the way homes were built in the past. Our room was very comfortable for our week stay. It was clean, very roomy (two double beds) and it even included a mini fridge. There’s an adapted elevator to carry luggage to the upper floors but other than that stairs are the way to go. The location is a few blocks from downtown which is perfect to see the many streets and places leading there. We also found convenient places to eat within a block or two of the hotel. La Merced market is also very close by. Overall, we loved staying here and we will do so again when we come back to Oaxaca.

the cleaners, cooks, and front desk folks are wonderful and hard working. the place is bit pricey, both rooms and bungalows. In the Bungalow we were given a garafon of water and daily water bottles. two water bottles a day in every room makes for a lot of plastic bottles. if they would just put garafons in the hallways we could fill our own bottles. if they rearranged the lounge chairs and the chair/tables upstairs differently, most tables for breakfast could be in the shade. it was pleasant sitting around the pool. It had shade, lounges, and tables. The street is quite safe outside.

The staff and particularly the breakfadt staff were lazy intimidating and rude. They did want you to have breakfast. One girl took the 3 hours to cut a bit of fruit. The only time yhey really worked was when the bosses came one morning. Dated decor. They say they are bunglelows they are not and even the dis abled have to go down one set of stairs and up another to eat. Plenty of drinks but they were all locked up sonyou could not buy them and you would not have asked.

The hotel is quaint and charming. Location was good. Great to have a pool when needed. Having breakfast each day was convenient and having Wifi if you don’t have a Telcel chip.
The only negative I can think of is the TV. It only has 5 local channels.
Your stay here will be comfortable and plenty of hot water!

This is a hotel for relaxing. The pool is very good, with pretty landscaping and plenty of loungers and other seating as well. The breakfasts are really healthy and delicious and our room was immaculate. The staff were all excellent and we felt very safe and comfortable. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

This was a sweet little Oasis. Very pretty place with great breakfast included. The location is walking distance to a colorful art district part of town and the Zocalo area. Absolutely loved this hotel and would recommend to everyone!
