From the moment you arrive, you're greeted with a warm smile. The room is incredibly spacious and even has a cozy seating area to enjoy some TV. The pristine bathroom amplifies the feeling of comfort. Additionally, the breakfast options are not only delicious but also cater to vegetarians.

Very much enjoyed our 2 night stay. We had read the fantastic reviews so had high expectations, glad to say we weren’t disappointed. Gareth and Rana are great hosts, friendly and welcoming, our room was well equipped and spotlessly clean. The hearty breakfast is reason enough to stay in itself, extremely generous and cooked to perfection. We thoroughly enjoyed our short break and would highly recommend.

This property and its hosts are simply wonderful. The location is superb - an easy walk into the village by the river, and surrounded by Snowdonia’s fabulous walking trails. Gareth and Rana are wonderful. We felt warmly welcomed from the minute we arrived. We were helped with our bags and treated like royalty. The room was huge and very comfortable, the bathroom was luxurious, the breakfast cooked to order was the best we’ve had in 2 months of travel. Rana and Gareth have the rare gift of knowing when to stay and chat and when to give their guests some space. They have a natural way of recognising the needs of each individual traveller. We could not speak more highly of our experience here and only wish we could have stayed longer. Sarah

1st time here but it won't be the last. Hosts Gareth and Rana were so welcoming and hospitable from the very start and throughout our stay. The room and bathroom were beautifully decorated and very clean. Breakfast was delicious. It is located in a peaceful location a short walk away from Betws-y-coed centre. We would highly recommend staying here, you won't be disappointed. Thank you both for making our break so special.

A wonderful stay for 4 nights - the property is situated just out of the main area of Betws-y-coed which was brilliant as the town was crazy busy all the time - it was good to be able to get away. Garth and Rana are wonderful hosts - we highly recommend staying at this property if you get the chance. 5 Star Services :)

Gareth and Rana were excellent hosts. Friendly, warm and welcoming. Accommodation was spotless with lots of nice little touches. Breakfast was excellent with a good variety of choices, cooked fresh to order. We came away for our wedding anniversary and this was a great base to explore parts of Snowdonia. Would definitely stay again when next in the area.

We have just returned from Afon Gwyn Country House and have nothing but praise for our whole experience Rana And Gareth are the perfect hosts and make you feel very welcome and at home.Nothing is too much trouble for them. You are politely asked to wear slippers (which are supplied)throughout the property.Not a problem because you really wouldn't want to tread mud into their immaculate home. Breakfast was amazing.Plenty of choice and willing to change anything you asked for. The bedroom and bathroom are extremely clean. Everything has been well thought out to everyones needs. From the tea and coffee making facilities to the bathroom accessories.Everything is taken care of. In a very good location for traveling to the many attractions Wales has to offer. Highly recommend and hope to visit again in the future.

Lovely couple, wonderful breakfast, gorgeous surroundings. We were made to feel very welcome, but we did not anticipate the owners living at the property and thus having to remove our shoes on entering the house. We thought it was a hotel, which I guess was our mistake. The room was huge and the bed comfortable but the decor was very dated. The bathroom was carpeted which was seriously disgusting as the toilet splashed out when flushed. The shower door was made for a very thin person and I struggled to squeeze through. Great bath though! Room was very hot, even though it was not hot outside. It was very uncomfortably hot in the room, therefore we would not stay again, but there are many positives. The breakfast was divine, but didn't enjoy having to chat with owners and other guests first thing in the morning.

The breakfast choice was excellent with a good choice of cereal, toast and cooked options The room facilities were excellent with everything you could wish for. Welcoming hosts Rana and Gareth Lovely property. A short drive from Betws Y Coed in an idyllic location Really clean; truly sparkling! Alice Suite is the largest room we have ever stayed in and was really comfortable and thoughtfully fitted out The bathroom had a shower, bath and his and her sinks and was luxurious The breakfasts were generous; made to order and both delicious and beautifully presented. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Afon Gwyn Country House or return ourselves in the future.

Fabulous place to stay, the country house is very grandeous with original features. Gareth and Rana were great hosts, down to earth, good sense of humour and easy to talk to. They were more than happy to give advice on things to do locally and were very accommodating to our needs (including oat milk for coffee which was already on the table every morning without even needing to ask). The breakfast was delicious and rooms were pristinely clean. Looking forward to staying again in the future.

Beautiful B&B, Gareth and Rana were before very welcoming. Room was very clean and spacious, Bathroom was equally as spacious. Rana's breakfast was delicious, and was served in the lovely conservator looking out onto the garden area. It was a prefect time to grab Gareth and get any tips for our day ahead. We would not hesitate to staying here again in the future and will recommend to anyone thinking of visiting North Wales. Thank you Gareth and Rana.

Our stay here was absolutely perfect. The room was absolutely spot on and the hospitality was amazing. They were both so helpful with everything from the room to asking questions about things to do in the area. Nothing was too much trouble. They were both so lovely and always had time to chat to us, asking about what we had planned while we were staying. I would 100% recommend anyone to stay here, you would not be disappointed and would enjoy every minute of your stay there.

My Son and I fancied a few days away enjoying the delights of Snowdonia, despite the rather wet and windy weather it was an absolute blast. I can't recommend Afon Gwyn Country House (and the wonderful Gareth and Rana) highly enough. Consummate hosts. We had to ditch our plan to climb Snowdon so Gareth gave us plenty of great recos.

We spent four nights here because we visited Conway in the summer and decided we wanted to come back to Betws y Coed. Afon Gwyn is a lovely property and we found Gareth and Rana to be very welcoming hosts - nothing was too much trouble. We stayed in the Robinson room on the ground floor - good sized with a large comfy bed and a very generous sized en suite. Everything was exceptionally clean, and there was a plentiful supply of teas, biscuits etc which were restocked every day. Breakfast was very good - you order cooked breakfast items the night before, there is plenty of choice as well as a good selection of cereals, yogurt etc. Wi-Fi a bit hit and miss initially (not really a surprise in the country!) but mentioned it to Gareth and he sorted it. All in all, had a very relaxing break, we would definitely stay here again and would also recommend it to others looking to visit the area.
