I stay at this property frequently for business. This trip was a very different experience. The front desk contact with Matai was wonderful however the breakfast staff and valet parking left a lot to be desired. The valet gentleman was rude and off putting. I checked my car in when I arrived and called for the car the morning I was to check out to load my bags and check out early. When my car came - the driver was flustered by traffic and drove my car unacceptably- it was difficult to watch. Then gave me a hard time and said I could have just asked them to load my bags for me so he did not have to bring the car. When I explained that ALL other trips to this property, the valet had asked that I just call for the car like normal, we could load and they would take the car back to the garage. I have never seen this gentleman before but the claimed to be the valet parking manager and if I complained it would just be to him - so go ahead and complain. Unacceptable, won’t be staying at this property in the future.

This is a really nice hotel in the middle of Portland's Pearl district. The staff was very efficient and friendly, and the room was well laid out and super clean. Many restaurants are within walking distance.

Great location for downtown Portland. Hotel is close to many amenities and easy to get around. You can easily walk or get a ride to any venue or upcoming event. No need to drive you own car and struggle to find a parking place. Simply use valet at the hotel and enjoy your stay.

The hotel has a patio on the roof, a perfect place to relax after all the sightseeing, all the employees were very friendly and professional.

The hotel was lovely. The downtown area has a lot of homeless people and as a result the general area has a lot of garbage left behind by the homeless.We felt you had to be aware of your surroundings when walking in the area.

Wonderful hotel, the staff was amazing. The general manager, Alona, helped out when I encountered a few issues with a booking.
The receptionists were extremely friendly to everyone, and one of them (I didn't catch his name, unfortunately), had a bunch of stickers and bubbles for children. Our party really appreciated the hot breakfast buffet and the rotating selection of sausages.
Only negative was one morning the shower water temperature didn't get hot enough, but this was during a very busy day and I got a hot shower later in the day.
Will book again next time I'm in Portland!

We have nothing but positive things to say. We stayed five night while visiting our adult daughter who lives three blocks from the hotel. The room was clean and comfortable with a great view. Breakfast was above average for hotel breakfasts. Every staff member we encountered greeted us and was very friendly. Two front desk workers were particularly helpful: Parris and Walks(?). We will definitely stay here again when we return to see our daughter in Portland.

Best Guest Services EVER! Alex at valet helped me with my car and gave me great walking directions to the Moda Center. ! He was very knowledgeable and friendly! Walker checked me in at the front desk and was so incredibly kind and personable! These folks seem to genuinely care about service and making their guests feel welcomed! This is my new “go to” hotel when visiting Portland and I highly recommend it!!

Pretty nice hotel smack dab in the middle of the Pearl District. Plenty to see and do around the area. Parking for the hotel can be a bit of a challenge. They do offer valet service but the area in front of the hotel can get crowded very quickly with people unloading their cars and then all the streets around are one way, so you may have to drive around the block a few times before you can slot in for valet.

Great place to stay; comfortable rooms, nice swimming pool and a resturant attached to the hotel. We got drinks to go and went up on the rooftop terrace and what a beautiful view! Perfect way to end the day...

We had a lovely big room, comfortable beds and were walking distance from Powell's and excellent cocktails at Teardrop Lounge. Would have liked more iced drinking water. Breakfast was fine, sufficient but not inspiring.

Great hotel for comfort, location and price. We were very happy with everything including the full buffet breakfast included at no extra charge. Valet is @$48 per night.

The valet team was amazing and went above and beyond. The hotel was short on luggage carts and has no bellmen but Aidan (valet) helped us and carried our extra luggage to our room. She was amazing! We also enjoyed our experience at the wine bar/restaurant. My only complaint is we requested housekeeping around 11:30pm on the first night because my sister became very sick from heat stroke and was told there is no housekeeping. I asked if they would bring me cleaner as there was vomit around the toilet. They never brought it up. I finally went down to the front desk after 3 requests within 1 hour and was given cleaner and a rag to take care of it myself. Not the best service from your night team.

We’re lifelong fans of Hampton Inn. Breakfast was great and loved the rooftop patio. If there’s one quibble, I would say maybe have the pool water be a bit warmer. But we’re Floridians and are used to warm water so may be in the minority. Valet service was great.
