Pool room was like a sauna and had chunks of ceiling hanging down. No towels in the pool area and when I asked for one I got a clearly dirty one and a floor mat.

This was the best stay of a week long road trip. I always check reviews before I book and many said the place was clean and had a good breakfast. I saw evidence of that right away on check in! When we got there, it was late and the man at the front desk was in the lobby detail cleaning some of the furniture, he was very friendly and nice. In a side note, when I was using their free computers in the lobby for work (also a bonus), I saw him and another staffer help a lost child in the hotel and locate her parents. Breakfast was great! There was a line when breakfast opened. Delicious hot cinnamon rolls, eggs and cheese, hot potato hash, it was all great. They also had a white board in the breakfast area where other guests wrote thank yous to the staff. It was a great breakfast! My only complaints, my kids did use the pool and the pool deck was a bit dirty and a lot of hairs on the deck. Same with our room in the bathroom floor. We ended up getting an accessibility room that had a large floor shower drain, but there were a lot of hairs on the shower floor before we used it, but I get it, it’s a large area to clean. Otherwise a perfect stay.

It was is the perfect location to see the parks. There was a great breakfast. The hotel had a welcoming feel when you walked in the door.

Clean, friendly staff, comfy beds, and decent breakfast and coffee in the morning. What more could you ask for?

Elevator was down most of the week which made accessing the room harder since we had to use a hot smelly stairwell. The room itself was clean though and the desk people were helpful. Breakfast was also amazing

Very nice hotel. Clean & the staff was very helpful. Somehow there was an issue with the hotel not having my reservation that I made with Expedia. The manager was great & figured things out so we got a room anyway.

We enjoyed our stay and had a blast in Portage.

The breakfast was awesome.

It was an enjoyable stay. Indirect lighting was relaxing however the addition of a makeup/shaving mirror would be good because of that. Comfortable bed great linens, enjoyed the chase lounge, microwave/fridge/coffee maker in the room. The full bottles of Dove shampoo /conditioner /hand soap/body wash was a nice surprise. Enjoyed having a walk-in shower however the smooth surface in it was as slippery as ice! We had to put a towel down in order not to fall

Too much money for this hotel to pay

Quite pricey for the middle of nowhere, but it was very clean and the free breakfast was good. We didn't use the indoor pool, but there were a bunch of kids enjoying it. The fitness center was also decent, though the A/C was broken in there. The staff was friendly and helpful.

The staff were very friendly and they have a beirvement package that helped cut costs for those out of town family members

Our stay was lovely. I really noticed a worker there going above and beyond for the guests and the hotel.—I wish I would have caught his name. Would book this hotel again!

This trip was canceled do to illness. Trip insurance was purchased but even though I canceled months ago there was no cooperation from Expedia or Holiday Inn I will never book another thing through Expedia I want a refund!

The staff was very pleasant but adding an additional night really threw them off. We added an extra night and ended up getting charged for 2 extra nights. It took talking to 3 people to get that straight. The breakfast was pretty good, they ran out of potatoes really early and mentioned to the worker they were out and she said that's all we have and was not very pleasant about it.

Property awesome, area surrounding nasty

The hotel was clean and very welcoming. Service was wonderful. Breakfast was outstanding. Only thing that was a little disappointing was the pool. A lot of rust, dirt, and piles of something black all over the floor near the windows?

Overnight stay for work. Efficient check in. Hair in drain.. input on tv was wrong.. until I asked for help. Overall, it’s ok.. you can hear all the traffic outside. Which doesn’t help for sleep. The hallway smelled like pot. Or a bad deodorizer.. staff is ehh.. no smiling faces.. as a traveler for work, I enjoy a small conversation or a happy smile.

They don't allow delivery to roam halls. Only guests registered at the hotel are allowed past the front desk. I like the security and the quiet.

Nice staff and property

compared to the quality inn i stayed at the night before, this holiday inn express felt like the absolute height of luxury. very clean, i felt very safe, overall not a bad area to stop on a road trip.

Easy in. Easy out

We stayed there for only one night, very clean hotel. Beds were comfy, staff was friendly, decent free breakfast.

Hair on bathroom counter and on one of the beds. All staff was friendly, but desk ignored complaint about room cleanliness.

Only real issue was with the bathroom sink….took forever to get hot water and the drain was very slow in draining. Absolutely no issues with anything else in the whole place…very clean and the workers were super friendly and helpful.

What a delightful young man checked me in. So much nicer and helpful, more efficient than my previous hotels on this trip. The room was modern , clean, and quiet. I could have used an anti skid mat in the tub for my shower however. The “soft” water makes almost all surfaces slippery. The roominess in the room and bath were appreciated. The new lobby was welcoming and refreshing after a long day on the road.
