Convenient but a little busy

It was a great anniversary getaway first time we stayed there and we would definitely put it at one of our choices to go back to

Horrible! No housekeeping for a five night stay. We asked several times and still no cleaning, picking up old towels, refilling soaps. I would ask and towels would be delivered but zero cleaning. And I should NOT have to ask for towels everyday. Ridiculous.

Perfect if are visiting VT. Nice gym and pool.

Fantastic location, perfect kitchen/bedroom/workspace, surprisingly pretty view in a location very close to a beautiful college campus. Love the Marriott brand, especially the suite hotels!

I recently enjoyed a delightful 6-night stay at Residence Inn by Marriott Blacksburg-University, and I must commend the exceptional breakfast kitchen staff for making my mornings truly wonderful. A special thank you to Carlos, Lady, and Pila for their outstanding service and hospitality. Carlos, in particular, went above and beyond to assist me with the waffle toaster every morning. Despite the toaster being a bit old and tricky to operate, Carlos was always there with a friendly smile, ready to help me turn my waffles to perfection. Pila and Lady were consistently prompt in cleaning the tables both before and after use. Their diligence and cheerful demeanor added to the pleasant atmosphere of the breakfast area. Their efforts ensured that the dining space was always clean and inviting. The entire team was incredibly friendly and consistently willing to help with any request. They kept the breakfast area immaculate and well-organized, ensuring a pleasant dining experience for all guests. Their hard work and dedication did not go unnoticed, and I truly appreciate their efforts in making my stay so enjoyable. Thank you, Carlos, Lady, and Pila, for your exceptional service. You all made a significant difference in my stay, and I look forward to returning to Residence Inn by Marriott Blacksburg-University in the future.

The room had a “particular” smell. The staff was neither nice nor rude, but I’d expect them to have better customer service skills.

Staff are so kind and ready to help us. However, house keeping was not done everyday and, even if i asked housekeeping every three days, it was not correctly provided.

Not a ton of parking, but enough on a non-even weekend

Great property. The room size and convenience to campus was great. We walked to the stadium from the hotel (about a mile). Breakfast bar was fully stocked with different options each morning (2 weekend days) and coffee very good. The beds were comfortable and the full kitchen nice to have for tailgating.

Very close to Va. Tech and dining

Location is convenient. Kitchen facility in room is fantastic. Room service what we got is poor. I booked through Expedia for 6 nights at $1026.44 including tax , service charge and breakfast for 3 people. They charged $1150.00

Perfect hotel for a VT visit & pet friendly

Great property. Can get pretty expensive during VA Tech events

This is the second time staying on this property. Facilities and room itself were tidy and the staff was friendly unfortunately, the parking situation was atrocious. On this visit, I'm traveling with a broken ankle and the visit made it super difficult to overcome their lack of spaces. There was no VT games nor an influx of students (it's end of July), so we couldn't understand why they would cordoned off such a large chunk of parking spaces to the hotel. Additionally, the bathroom cabinet was damaged upon arrival. Other than these two factors, it was fine. We did not visit the pool or gym.

Spacious suite with full kitchen, clean, comfortable bed, good access to multiple restaurants. Very close to road so a bit noisy. Some kitchen supplies missing or broken. Scratches on bathroom door. Breakfast started late one of the days.

This was one of the best experiences we had with hotel stays lately. The front desk staff was attentive and the room was very clean.

Close by and convenient. Staff very accommodating

The property was clean and centrally located right next to Virginia Tech with plenty of walkable dining options for lunch and dinner. The breakfast at the hotel was ok. The staff could be more friendly upon check-in and inform guests of location of amenities such as the gym, pool and laundry. Other guests noted the same indifference from the front desk staff. Overall, the rooms were a good size and clean but should ensure the hard surfaces are wiped down as my room was dusty and hand soap was missing from the bathroom.

The rooms and beds were very dirty

Clean, well-equipped bathroom, comfortable bed. Breakfast not served on time, room not cleaned while I was out, minimal garden landscaping, broken window blind closure. Bad smell in elevator. Generously sized suite, liked having a full kitchen. Easy access to restaurants and grocery store.

Hotel was wonderful.
