Matilda checked up in, we had arrived early. Made our stay pleasant and answered all our questions. The food and cook were great! Plenty of options. He was very nice & respectful.. all the staff was. Thank you

It's Texas. If you're part of the rainbow, expect to be greeted with an unwelcome attitude from the desk person. I expect better out of hotel employees even in places like Texas.

I reserved this hotel cause it said it had a hot tub. come to find out that its broke we saw it its as green as grass if they don't plan to fix it then take it off the website, This trip was an R & R for my husband & I and we wanted a hot tub

Roaches. There were roaches. As soon as I went into my room after checking in, I opened the door and there was a roach there to greet me. Also, there was clumps of hair on the floor in the bathroom and near the refrigerator. The hotel elevators were also filthy. The area around the hotel is very nice though.

The hotel is filthy. Carpets, elevators, walls, bathroom, hallways. I’ve never stayed in a Holiday Inn Express that was so dirty. We actually had to switch rooms after the first night. Management was helpful, but did not change the fact that the hotel was filthy.

I had a room with a door to the adjacent room. Very poor sound insulation between the rooms. I could hear the person snoring loudly in the room behind me and the women in the adjacent room as if they were in my room. They were loud and showed up late. I got no sleep. I asked to be moved to another room the next morning and was moved to a quieter part of the floor. Very poor sound insulation between rooms.

Overall it was ok. The elevators and overall lobby area were kinda of dirty. The gentleman that checked me in was nice and helpful. Unfortunately, beyond their control, there were a couple of safety issues that made me feel very uneasy. A woman (possibly homeless) was parked in the very front of the building asleep in her car. She was laying back with her door open and foot hanging out of it. We initially thought she might be in distress, but a closer look revealed she was just asleep. When we returned an hour later, she was still there, but staff was attempting to have her removed. It was just an uneasy feeling. We left again to run to the store and upon returning, we got onto the elevator and instantly smelled weed. We thought it was just the scent of someone who had recently been in the elevator, but when the doors opened we saw two young males sitting on the floor just outside the elevator smoking weed. It was undeniable and extremely thick. We licensed to our room choosing to just ignore it, but I had to run to my car and as I walked by I got a huge whiff of smoke in my face and it just irritated me. When I got to the lobby I decided to let the front desk know about it and I proceeded to my car. When I returned to my floor, the front desk attendant proceeded to bring attention to me as being the person who reported them by thanking me in front of them. While I understand his intention, that immediately made me uneasy and I spent the rest of the evening feeling unsafe.

The bathroom doors to the handicap room has spaces on both sides when shut that you can see in the bathroom. We are not handicapped but our first room had an issue with the bathroom lights so they changed our room to a handicapped room.

The only reason for not giving a 5 is for the parking around the hotel. Parking was very difficult when full or almost full, so just another option for parking and this would have been an exceptional stay. Staff was delightful, and the room was very clean!
