This has been a great place to stop while on a long road trip. I love the huge rooms and the good AC. The lady at the desk was very friendly, and welcomed me back when saw I'd been there before. I was checked in in less than 5 minutes, and because of assigned parking space, it's super easy to unload the car and pack up again when leaving.

Room large. Bed and pillows not to bad. Toilet dirty around base. Walls and doors need either cleaned ir painted. The carpet was disgusting. Filthy! No paper towel or kitchen sink towels

Beautiful large room. Recently remodeled and comfortable. Large shower, only negative was the shower floor wasn't sloped just right and water gathered at my feet. Still a wonderful place to stay. Loved the neon sign.

I was impressed when I walked into my room. It's been remodeled. It's very clean and very comfortable. I wish I had time to stay a few days and just relax in this room. Cass at the check-in desk is very friendly and helpful. She made me feel like an old friend. I will definitely stay here again.

Facility and staff were excellent!

Pros: Room was HUGE. Very comfortable. WiFi adequate. Clean room! Staff was great. Cons: Right off the interstate highway - so we got some traffic noise (mainly trucks). No breakfast. We were a little taken back by the appearance of the outside - BUT this was a great little place for the money! No ice machine - but the staff gave us a gallon bag of ice from their own refrigerator!!! We'd definitely stay here again.

I have stayed here a few times over the years and its better each time as the owners renovate. The carpet in the room was pretty stained, but otherwise the room was clean. It's a small retro motel; parking is limited so don't bring your trailer or multiple vehicles. The owner is super nice who also functions as front end clerk, maid, and contractor.This is a mom and pop operation with an old school feel. If that is your thing, you will enjoy this place.

Very nice rooms. They were large and spacious. We enjoyed our 1 night.

We arrived after 10:00 PM and we were greeted by the most adorable inn keeper. Our room was large and clean and accommodating and comfortable. On our trips, we try to find mom and Pop motels and hotels to stay in because they make the trip fun. Butterfield was no exception. We loved it. The exterior was a bit rough, the signed had some electrical issues, but that just added to the enchantment. Inside was very clean. The end keeper greeted us as we were getting ready to leave and showed us around the property, including new rooms being renovated. She took a great deal of pride in her job and she does it well. Stay here and have the memories.

Nice to have such a large room with lots of space, even a small kitchen area. Easy walk to a great Mexican restaurant. Our hostess was extremely friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay here again.

The room was big and the kitchen area with a sink, microwave, coffee pot and medium size refrigerator were great. The bathroom was OK however the water in the shower didn't warm up sufficiently and there was not even warm water to shower in the morning.

The room was a very clean and comfortable; however, the condition of the exterior is poor.

There is no way this dump should have such a high rating. When I was searching, I thought I found an undiscovered gem, such a low price with an 8 rating. There is good reason there are no photos of the outside in the listing. As I drove up to the address I thought I had the wrong address. If I have not a refundable reservation I would have kept going. There are approximately 10 rooms that make up this location. It’s the kind of place you take your side hustle for quickey. Soon after I arrived around 10pm a young couple was leaving. When checking in the desk person said “don’t worry the rooms are much nicer inside than the outside.” The room I was in had a super bright light above the door that was attracting all kinds of insects. After battling them I entered the room and it did seem much better than the outside. I took a shower and went to bed. Soon after under the covers I started feeling itchy, the mattress was lumpy and tilted. I toss and turned to try and get comfortable all night scratching my burning skin. At one point I put on the clean shirt I had planned to wear the next day, which stop the issue on my back and chest, but not my legs. In the morning I discovered bug bites all over my body. I hear bed bugs travel well and now I have to carefully disinfect everything I brought in to the room to be sure I don’t infect my home. I highly recommend the owner replace the mattress with brand new one after thoroughly disinfecting that room.

We only stayed overnight so just needed a comfortable clean room. The room was large and the bed was very comfortable. The decor was outdated but who cares when you are getting such a wonderful price for a clean nice comfortable room.

This property had “wonderful” reviews but I’m at a loss as to why. It’s well worn, dated but clean. The person checking us in was friendly. That’s about it.

We had such a pleasant stay at this hotel. The front desk/management was so friendly. Check in was a breeze. Registered on line and had nothing else to sign or fill out when we arrived. The room was very spacious and comfortable. Not a lot of frills but we weren’t looking for that. Bed was very comfortable. Only negative was the pillows were a little firm for me. I’d definitely stay here again. Great value for the money!

We had a great stay here! The room was quite large and had everything we needed. We are on a long road trip, it was so great to have the space, a real coffeemaker nice large fridge and microwave to make supper. We loved it here!

Honestly, I probably would not have given this tiny motel a second look but the reviews were all so good that we gave it a try. What a place! Doesn’t look like much from the outside but the rooms are huge and spotless and the owner is dlelightfull. We will definitely stay here again
