What a treat …

There was no heating in room I asked to fix it but nobody care
1.0
Really dated very dirty and there was a kindle inside the bed sheets so obviously not been changed, loads of long black hairs in bed really noisy. Disappointing stay
2.0
Comfy bed.
Can see that the building has age to it and efforts have been made to make improvements.
5.0
Great stay for the value, very friendly staff. The room was clean and comfortable. Would highly recommend.
6.0
Room was a tad dirty, cobwebs in 3 corners. ????
2.0
I had booked two double rooms, one of the rooms was above the bar, which had music playing until still o clock in the morning, multiple fights happened during my short 1 day stay. The car park was full when it is supposed to be for people staying at the property.
Overall, I would literally never stay here again.

Kept awake by people in another room till gone 2 in the morning

All of the people there are brilliant real characters! Good solid people that look after you! I would recommend Room 6! It’s lovely! Take your partner though 😉

Room was ok bed comfy but bathroom was dirty lots of thick dust around edges. Also whilst taking a shower the lady who checked us in came to ask if we were showering as the water was leaking through to the bar downstairs. This made me feel i couldnt shower this morning as i didnt want to be responsible for water leaking theough ceiling. No offer made to change rooms or anything yes it was cheap but still i was quite disappointed given id cancelled staying elsewhere
8.0
Stayed here a few times staff always been lovely and helpful and rooms are comfy and clean. Bit noisy but its to be expected when your staying above a pub.
4.0
dust all over the room. It’s was clean enough.

Really good value , comfy bed £3.50 a pint ! Can’t complain about anything 👍
3.0
Rooms on top of the pub and the music was being played till 11pm. Room smelt very musty. Room key didnt work 3 times. Staff were very friendly though.
5.0
Friendly staff plus cheap beer and cobs. Bar looks a bit worn but rooms are 100%. New rooms being built at back with potential of breakfasts in the future. I will stay here again.

The staff were friendly. The key card system needs to be updated. It was unfortunate that it was not working properly and that you had to get your keycard updated daily.
I was there for a business trip and would need quite time when resting in my room. Unfortunately at this time there was entrainment and loud people sizing up to each other. This did not make for a safe feeling environment. I had not considered this when making my booking.
The bed was comfortable

We check out early, you check in inside a rowdy stale smelling pub where the clientel tried to bum us for money for a slot machine. The staff were friendly enough. However our room was right next to the beer garden, the bar had loud music playing until after midnight at which point we could hear someone shouting and balling racist abuse and trying to start a fight, I decided to listen to other reviews that said that the place gets worse over the weekend so booked somewhere else for the rest of our trip.
4.0
The hotel was great but the only downside is the noise from the music in the bar until 11pm.Goix places to dine locally

No soap or shower gell not enough coffee and milk.
3.0
My stay was ok in terms of sleeping, but the room was not the best. There was dust behind radiators, no chair & the shower wasn't in the best condition
5.0
The pub downstairs looks a bit rough but do not be put off as the rooms upstairs are first class. Convenient location for the NEC with several places nearby for evening meals. The staff were very helpful and this is the 4th time I have stopped here so it must be OK
1.0
Sticky bathroom floor, no handsoap available, scuff marks on the walls, dust on every surface, a filthy tv remote and a stray toenail on the floor proving it's not been vacuumed well recently.
My single room looked acceptable but on closer inspection it was very dirty. There was dust in most places and cobwebs in the windows. It overlooked a beer garden so was noisy at times and smelt of cigarette smoke. I did not sleep well as i was very conscious of how dirty it was behind the bed and against the wall. It had clearly not been cleaned in some time which led me to suspect what else had not been cleaned recently. I was disgusted. I'm sorry but i won't be returning.

On arrival the check in machine to operate the door cards seemed faulty & when I tried to enter my room the 2nd time, it didn't work, resulting in me seeking help. Eventually after 5 mins of them trying with the faulty machine it worked. Then I was awoken at 12.30am to a couple trying to enter my room, they didn't succeed the 1st time so after 5 mins had a second attempt to which I shouted through to them that they had awoken me & this room was occupied......bearing in mind this was a single occupancy room trying to be entered by a couple. Didn't have the best of sleeps after this had happened. Not a great stay but needed a room in the area for 1 night. Staff were friendly & the guy I spoke to when I checked out said he would look into my concerns from my stay.
Room was ok, basic but had T.V, iron & ironing board, tea/coffee/milk, kettle, hot water, toilet roll. Shower worked fine & towels were clean. A few marks on the top of the duvet cover but pillowcases & undersheet looked clean.

Wow where to start. Eventually got into hotel and waited ages to get checked in. They couldn't find our names on the system. Led through a maze of doors through the bar where feet where sticking to the floor. Went up stairs where there was smoke and none of the doors shut properly.
Shower was mouldy and filthy.

Avoid this dirty hotel. I wished I had read the reviews before I booked. We booked this hotel for two nights while staying over for Crufts. The place is filthy, cobwebs and thick dust all over the room, mould in the bathroom and walls. Not sure what the cleaners actually do at this place, they certainly do not clean, even the shower screen hadn’t been cleaned from the previous guestssss. Don’t do the same mistake we did, book elsewhere.

Was above the bar on first floor. Music on till 1am. Very noisy outside with people out for a smoke etc lock gates to carpark at 8pm. No kitchen facilities as being renovated and entered bedroom via a fire exit stair case on roof -bed , clean carpet clean bathroom not

We arrived after a mid haul flight to loud music, dirty bar floors, land lady shouting over the bar asking our details on our booking. Lead through several tatty doors to the dingiest, filthy carpeted, narrow stairway up to our room on the 1st floor.Bed was clean!! Bathroom clean but tiny. Windows covered in mould all around and paint all pealing off.Even considered staying in the lovely hotel next door ,The Coleshill Hotel where we had a couple of drinks before re entering ‘Bleak House’. By this t8me it was10pm and we decided to just sleep and leave early next morning to a superb breakfast next door. Wouldn’t not recommend this hotel to anyone and we are seasoned travellers who know decent value hotels, expensive hotels and mid range. This failed to fit into any range of hospitality !!!

Stuff was friendly and helpful. They were always smiling but the facility is terrible, too old, need to be serious renovated.

We booked two rooms. When we arrived we went into the reception/ bar, a women looked at us and walked off a few minutes later came back looked at us again unplugged a phone and walked off again, no hello I will get someone for you or please wait a minute.
When we booked in the lady just pointed and said your in that building over there.
There are no indication as to which door was the entrance.
The handles and doors seemed like they were loose and that they weren’t shutting or locking, on looking the door frame was split.
The drinks cups in one of the rooms were dirty so we took them into the pub were we signed in and were told it was housekeepings job and they don’t have access to the cups or spoons.
Window were not shut completely, they were really old windows with con wens and one pane was even overs in what looked like duck tape, that room was freezing on entry even with 3 heaters on. That room also had mushrooms growing under the bed and mould in the carpet next to the bed.
Mould in both shower rooms on the shower doors etc. the shower did not drain well at one point I thought it would over flow.
The beds were clean and well made.
I don’t think a hoover had been around the room as I found hairs grips and some bits on the floor, no bin bag in the dirty bin.
A hole in the wall where the door had been opened too hard.
The pub noise wasn’t too bad until about 10:30 when it sounded like the music was in our room for about 20 minutes.
Not the best hotel at all
