Staying in the family room with a view over the Duoro from the balcony, this clean and spacious room was beyond perfect. Small kitchen with hon, dishwasher, fridge, microwave. Rain shower in the bathroom with good pressure and plenty of hot water. Mini fridge stocked with reasonably priced goods, and a small bottle of wine upon arrival. Verónica and Miguel were superb hosts. Could not have asked for more.

Virtudes City Lofts property was well located, spotlessly clean, and nicely arranged including a small table and chairs. We enjoyed the apartment type living and were provided with everything we needed for a few days stay. The beds were very comfortable and the linens were of high quality. Communication was outstanding and we especially appreciated that our hostess made a taxi reservation for our departure.

I strongly recommend this apartment when in Porto. Amazing welcome, great space, perfect location. Outstanding value for the price. Veronica welcomed us as family and provided tips for our time in Porto. Throughout the stay, she checked in on us and make sure we had everything we need. Great value for the space and location!! Such a lovely apartment in a great location, near the old town. The apartment was spotless, though the bathroom was very compact. Lugging the luggage up the stairs is no fun but the host was the sweetest person ever! She made you feel welcomed. It is hard to book an apartment, so this shld be done early!

The apartment was modern, well equipped, clean, bright, warm and quiet. The staff were quick to respond when we had a query and overal quite helpful. The location is really good, walking distance from the centre of town, the river views, buses and a whole load of bars and cafes. there was even a lovely neighbourhood fruit and veg shop that seemed to be a meeting place for locals.

Veronica is very nice and helpful during our stay there. The location is very convenient to the restaurants we like and all sight seeing spots are all in walking distance. The only drawback is no elevator inside the building so if you are not travelling with a strong guy and with heavy suitcase, you will have to reconsider the larger suite here as mine is the smallest which is on the top floor. 😞

Fabulous apartment - spacious, lovely decor, coffee machine, super clean, close to restaurants, the river & historic centre. Could not have wanted for anything more! The host, Veronica was very welcoming, readily available & responsive to any queries. She was more than happy for us to leave our luggage after checkout so very accommodating as well. This was a perfect spot for seeing Porto! Very quiet at night, next to quite of bit of restaurants and drink spots. Quick 8 minute walk to downtown. Receptionist was very helpful with recommendations and super nice! Highly recommend for your stay in Porto

It was more than we expected. It had all we needed even a kitchenette. It was clean and spacious. It is on a great location, 10 minute walk to the metro. We had a very pleasant stay. Veronica was very responsive and very helpful. We would definitely stay there again, if we return to beautiful Porto.

There's 4 floors to the property and no elevator, which surprised us. Of course we had the 4th floor loft, but it was only an issue when your are carrying luggage and walked all over Porto, which it too is filled with steep hills and steps. Best work out ever! Totally worth the work

Absolutely loved my stay here! Beautiful room, great location, felt very safe as a solo female traveller both day and night. Excellent communication, all the amenities you could need, perfect stay! I don’t think there’s a lift so maybe not for those with accessibility needs. I would definitely stay again!

I had a wonderful stay . I wish I stayed longer . From the moment I booked to the moment I left Veronica was fanatic with communication . She was always helpful and available for questions. The location was walkable to all the things on my list and as a solo female traveller I felt safe. The apartment felt like a home away from home! Overall, we enjoyed our stay. The location was convenient,all be it at up at the top of a hill. There were several dining options nearby as well as a great view from the park just steps away. The room itself was clean if a bit smaller than we would’ve liked, with a very small shower. The host who greeted us when we arrived and showed us to our room, spoke only Portuguese, no Spanish or English at all. She was quite brusque and seemed to be in a very big hurry, and was impatient with the fact that we had not seen the message that included the information regarding what room we had and the five digit code that we needed to get into the hotel and into our room. Required translator, and asking her to be patient with us while we tried to find the information. Once we got that sorted out, everything was fine. My advice is to keep an eye on your messages and emails from Hotels dot com or whatever you use to reserve your room at this hotel and look for that five digit code that is necessary to get into the hotel front door, and your room. One thing to note, is that the front desk is not around the clock, or on Sundays. In fact, we actually never saw the hostess again after she showed us to our room. This felt more like staying in air b&b than a hotel. They were several nice amenities when we arrived. Including a small bottle of wine, conditioner, a bottle of water, and a flat sheet on the bed. There is not much room for your luggage in the room, so be prepared.

We were first time visitors to Porto and had decided to go there for a few days after walking the Camino de Santiago. Virtudes City Lofts was an incredible find. While unassuming from the outside (you could easily miss the door), it was simply phenomenal within. We stayed for 2 nights in 2 different rooms. Beautifully located, comfortable and spacious with tasteful decor. We were able to walk everywhere and feel part of the vibe of the town without standing out as tourists. After long days of walking up and down streets and visiting Duoro Valley, coming back to Virtudes was like having an oasis. Be aware that there is no elevator and you may have to walk up a few flights of stairs. But Porto is a city where you will have to walk up and down streets. Our host Veronica was wonderful. She responded within moments of us contacting her (repeatedly), was flexible and super helpful to us - even had maps of Porto as part of the service. While we did not get to meet her face to face, Veronica's hospitality made us feel as if we were super cared for. Honestly, Virtudes exceeded every expectation. I highly recommend.

HIGHLY recommended !! The property is a 4 story walk-up and we stayed on the top floor with a lovely view over the Douro. The suite was clean, very spacious and well equipped. Veronica, the owner, was nice and quick to respond to our questions. Within a block radius, there are 6 restaurants and a mini-mart like store, and all the sights are within walking distance. If Porto is your destination, VCL's is an excellent place to call home.

Virtudes City Lofts is right next to the park for which it is named. I walked everywhere from here and stopped back during the usually once to drop stuff off or cool off. Check-in was easy with a code to enter for the room. The room was basically a one bedroom flat with a microwave, refrigerator, and stove. Stayed three nights and did not have room serviced, which was fine with me. I would stay there again and recommend it to friends.
