This location is extremely remote which I think is the point. The staff is incredible, the property was great and the food was delicious. Completely blown away by how great this was. Local hiking trails a mere 10 mins away.

The room smelled like urine in the master bedroom. Did not know the front desk maned only until 5pm. They left all the info on the door. With this day and age of identity theft what kind security is that? I will never come back

Great adventure, beware of the drive. It is very slow on mountains. Beginner drivers shouldn’t be on this road.

Beautiful place, calm, quiet, peaceful, stars… but transportation to get there is over a treacherous, winding road for 20 miles. Be forewarned.

To high up in the mountains. Road conditions bad. Room was nice

The resort itself was nice. The staff was very friendly and efficient. However our cabin was beyond rustic, the floor was not level, so bad that they used rocks to keep the cupboards shut. No toilet or electricity, stove, fridge and lights are all gas. Half inch spaces on either side of fridge let the outdoors in. I think that they could do better describing what you're getting for your $$. Also, a warning about the awful road, would be nice. It takes nearly 2 hours to go 22 miles.

This place is the perfect way to experience Mineral King. The cabins are clean and comfortable, the crew is friendly and helpful and the food is very good. And the highlight is, of course, the unbelievable trails that are nearby.

Liked the nature around the cabin we stayed at, the swings on the porch.
It would be nice to offer WiFi in the cabins and have a store to buy waters, Gatorade, snacks

It was a nice property. Off the grid. The wifi only reaches a certain point. Bathrooms are separate from cabins. Cabins don’t have electricity but overall great to sleep in with gas lighting and wood fireplace if needed. The road has a lot of turns takes about a little over an hour to get to. Just keep driving and you will reach the cabin as there are no signs indicating if your going the right way or not but we followed GPS and it led us to there. Friendly staff and great food, family friendly.

Beautiful location! Although I hated the road to get there. Everyone was very welcoming. I was unaware that the cabin I rented did not have electricity, so that was a bit of a shocker. Otherwise, everything was wonderful.

We had a wonderful and magical stay at Silver City. The location is absolutely breathtaking, up a seriously steep and windy road, but totally worth it and with great access to numerous hikes. The staff at the resort were extremely helpful and friendly. We will be recommending Silver City to everyone!

This is a great place to stay and experience Mineral King. The restaurant has good, but limited food. It was nice to be able to have a beer and piece of pie after cooking our own food in the cabin (bring all the food you think you'll need!). Don't forget that these are cabins in the wilderness, even though they are kept very clean and have updated kitchens. Be sure to put your food away so critters don't get it. The Rock Cabin was great for us, although it has a weird layout so you have to go outside on the porch to get from the kitchen/main room to the toilet and bedrooms. The back porch over the stream was a nice place to hang out. The showers in the separate building are close and very nice and very clean. There's a nice playground and and nice places to sit out and enjoy the incredible beauty of the place. The staff were all very nice. It's a short drive to magnificent trailheads. We will definitely return!

The trip up the mountain was awesome! Scary at times. I would not want to travel that road in the dark.
The resort was wonderful. We stayed in the Shooting Star Chalet and actually saw shooting stars above the trees.

We never made it to the resort due to the extreme driving conditions from the town of Three Rivers to the resort. We turned around half way from the nearest road due to motion sickness caused by the extreme winding and narrow road and the dangerous road conditions. We attempted to reach it during the day and could not but never arrive after dark since it is not safe. There are places in the long road where only one car can travel and we had to back up on the road which had a step drop to allow another vehicle to pass. We understand paying for not showing up the day we attempted to arrive but also had to pay for the next night we had reserved even though we had canceled in advance. We explained the reason but did not receive any understanding. We spent the night in three rivers instead, a good choice.

It’s a long drive to get there, over a narrow twisting rough road, but worth the trip once you’re there. We stayed in the Franklin Pass cabin which is new and very comfortable. We took a great hike to White Chief mine on a well-marked trail. Food was terrific at the restaurant and the staff was friendly and helpful.

It had the friendliest staff I have ever met. The food was freshly prepared and nicely served. We did not know about the 21 mile drive up a narrow road with over 600 turns - thought we were staying in or close to the park, not above it! But loved every minute of the unique adventure. Would not change a thing

Beautiful site and cabin but too remote and not clear on the site Had to drive on a pretty much one lane road for 18 miles that had 69 switchbacks and little to NO room for calls coming the other way Took 1 and a half hours to go 18 miles Staff very nice and food delicious but not clear that the drive to get there was treaserous

I stayed in the Franklin Pass cabin. Very nice- looks exactly like pictures. The staff was great and the food is good. Just be aware that if you stay here you need to do hikes off mineral king road. It takes over an hr to get to rest of park. And the road up there is one of the worst I’ve ever driven. And they don’t have wifi in cabins- only have wifi around reception (which sometimes cuts out). But the cain and staff were great. Very accommodating.

Nice cabin in the woods. Very secluded. Expect a curvy, stressful, 2 hour, (10 mph) drive to the location from the main highway up the mountain. Well worth it, however. The lodge has a restaurant with free wi-fi. Excellent food at reasonable prices. They also have a nice selection of wines and beer on tap. Best to stay atop the mountain and hike there rather than drive down to visit the main Sequoia park. Gets cold at night. Great off-the-grid getaway location.

This little gem is amazing, beautiful scenery and magnificent nature hikes! Great place to hide away for a few days and unplug!

The ride up was beautiful and adventurous, and our arrival at Silver City was amazing. The grounds, cabins and scenery were pristine. The best part about Silver City is the friendly, attentive and smiling staff. So turn off your cell phones at the foot of Mineral King road and enjoy being unplugged in this mountain getaway.

This resort is gorgeous. The cabins, the trees, the views;however, the road to the resort is a doozy.

We want to warn people that this resort is no remote and at the end of a twisting 21 mile road. The 21 miles will take from 1 and a half to 2 hours to negotiate. My husband is a very confident driver but half way through the trip up we both decided that our 2 night reservation would be only one night. We were charged for two nights but we refused to drive that road again. I will say that the cabins are nice but only the grave should try this place.
