Absolutely loved this privately owned hotel! The staff was super friendly and recommended places to eat and stuff to do. It was the main reason why I booked this spot. They were easy to get ahold of, made sure we had a ride to and from the airport and anything we did! Definitely would stay here again.

They were attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond to ensure that I had a comfortable and enjoyable stay. The room I stayed in was spacious, clean, and well-appointed. The bed was incredibly comfortable, ensuring a restful night's sleep. I also made use of the fitness center and spa facilities, which were well-maintained and provided a relaxing environment. El Candil Hotel's location was ideal for exploring the surrounding area. It was conveniently situated near popular attractions, allowing me to easily venture out and discover the beauty of the destination.

My partner and I traveled together to Cuba for three clear days. The experience was truly amazing! The staff at El Candid is so efficient and helpful! Their suggestions for the best vacation experience were excellent from the restaurants to the tours. All our needs were met and exceeded all our expectations! The staff planned a classic car tour for us for my birthday! We had such a thoughtful and knowledgeable driver who ensured that we had a good time. They also surprised me on the morning and evening of my birthday ☺️☺️. Thanks guys! The rooms and surrounding areas are clean, the staff (every single person) very friendly and helpful, the breakfast was consistent each morning, the taxi drivers were friendly and on time. We’d recommend this hotel to everyone!

The staff at the reception, especially Janetxy and Rosabel go out of their way to make you comfortable and provide any help they can. They helped me quite a lot with restaurant suggestions, taxis, guides etc. and thus my stay at Havana was most pleasurable. I would recommend El Candil quite highly to anyone visiting Havana.

We stayed here on our trip to Havana and the staff literally planned everything for us. They ensured every cultural outing and event was the best and that we were immersed in the local culture. They gave the best recommendations and secured all of our transportation. Put all our worries to ease. I have never found better concierges anywhere ever!

We had a great time at El Candil! It's in the nice residential area of Vedado so it was quiet at night and in the mornings when we wanted to sleep in. Our room was super clean each day, but I'd say that the best part was our concierges. Yanetxy, Guimar and Rosabel arranged for us to go to the best shows and restaurants and made sure that we had taxis to everywhere we wanted to go. They scheduled us for for in room massages and anything on the menu we wanted to could be delivered to our room, not to mention the vintage car tour and the day trip to Varadero. It was personalized service at its best! Hands down, we'll be here the next time we're in Havana! We have friends for life now!

We stayed here right after we visited the valley and this was a great place to relax before we headed back to the airport. We were able to have an amazing dinner and enjoy a nice cocktail on the roof. The room was very comfortable with an amazing bed. We even had a masseuse come to our room and give us massages.

El Candil was an amazing hotel (casa particulates). The concierges were incredible and made excellent recommendations to find us everything we wanted. Rosabel even helped us find a local charity to connect with and translated for us. So kind. Out of all the hotels we saw in Cuba, this was the best and we would always stay here when returning.

OMG! I would say this hotel is a 20/10! Yanetxy, Yamar and the entire staff were so kind, sweet, and patient. They literally sat me down and help me organize everything for my trip no matter what time of the day or night they were there. The food and everything was great and they put up decorations for my birthday! I’ve been all over the world and I have never had hospitality like this! The rooms and the hotel was so clean and beautiful. When I come back, I will stay here everytime! Thank you all so much for everything and making my birthday so memorable! Besos!

My partner and I had an amazing time! The staff was friendly, accommodating, helpful and supportive. They helped me plan & set up a private surprise bday dinner for my partner, as well as provided amazing food recommendations, made reservations, coordinated excursions, set up transportation etc. The hotel also has an outstanding security team. With the hotel having about 6 rooms, it has a very familial type of feel. The hotel is clean, beautiful and the roof top is fantastic. Staff are able to converse in English and Spanish (possibly more languages). This will be my go-to hotel when I return to Cuba.

El Candil was an incredibly experience.The Staff is very professional.They are very friendly and can help you solve any problem. If you would like to relax and have not worries: This is your place.Staff like Rafael,Giomar, the barman,the maids can make your day.They are phenomenal but the greatest light of El Candil is Yanetxy. Yanetxy is a person that feels like family, she becomes your family.Without her it wouldn't make no sense.

Amazing stay (very clean and cozy) and awesome staff who treated us like family. In fact, without even asking the staff surprised my husband with room decorations and a cake for his birthday making his day even more special. We visited Havana from the US for 3 days. It was our first trip to the country. The staff at El Candil took care of us from start to finish. We almost don't want to write this review because we want to keep this jewel all to ourselves 🙂 Property: Is a beautiful, well maintained six-room hotel across three floors with a beautiful terrace and rooftop bar and pool. Rooms were clean and beautifully decorated. Towels and basic toiletries provided with maid service daily. Excursions: There are three primary concierges - all fantastic! They arranged everything! Airport transfers, antique car tour, dinner reservations at amazing restaurants (Atelier is a must try!), day trip to Varadero, and private dinner at hotel. Final thoughts: Take a chance on Havana, and if you do, stay at El Candil. You will not be disappointed! We plan to come back just for this property and the amazing staff!

Yanetxy, Guiorma and team were excellent and very helpful. And helped make the weekend trip a restful treat (the Sunday massage was fantastic). We made the mistake of traveling with CAD as our cash stash (thanks Google). Don't. USD is more liquid. Team El Candil helped us navigate this loss of liquidity.

An unforgettable stay! Beautiful mansion converted to a boutique hotel. In a beautiful area in Havana. The nicest people in charge. You feel that you arrived to family!, they all are attentive of your needs, they welcome you and farewell you from the street with sincere warmth. nice rooms, nothing excessive but comfortable and super clean. The ladies that work there Guiomar, Yanetxy y Rosabel and everyone for that matter, made our stay a happy, comfortable, friendly, safe stay. Truly a pleasure to meet you all!
