This is one of our favorite places to say. We love staying next to Rock Chalk Park. The area is clean, quiet and the hotel is wonderful. The only complaint I have is we were put in a handicap room(which isn’t the issue) but water gets everywhere in the bathroom, the vent is poor and room was humid.

Gorgeous hotel. Very clean. Nice staff. Great breakfast. A mile or so from I-70. Very safe neighborhood. Couldn’t believe how nice it was for the price. Would definitely stay here again.

Overall a good value. Modern rooms, friendly staff, clean and nice amenities. It’s in a VERY safe and quiet area, and has a nice pool and BBQ area, so awesome for families. The breakfast was typical of an inclusive buffet. I really appreciated the low $15 pet fee!

Thin walls - could hear dog crying in adjacent room.
Excited to see bar- but nobody working the bar on ANY of the days we were there despite having out signs of hours they would be open. When we inquired at the front desk why there were signs out depicting hours to be open, they said they didn't have anyone to staff the bar and could remove the signs if we'd like. "If we'd like"! Before leaving our room we had invited some in town guests to join us at the bar for a drink only to arrive to a closed bar.
We were told that if we ask for room service by 11am we would be accommodated. We asked before 11am and were told we probably couldn't get it done today. ?? Odd reponse. Our room did get serviced.
Rarely saw anyone working the front desk and needed to wait for someone to show up.
Rooms were clean and neat.

This is a WONDERFUL hotel when you finally get to it❤️If you use the directions to this hotel on Hotels.com it will take you to a low end Wyndham Super 8 SO BEWARE
The check in wasn't smooth either. For some reason the hotel did not have the payment from third party. Not the fault of the hotel. I have never had so many issues booking through a 3rd party as I did on this stay.
Definitely will stay again though. Good room,newer, friendly staff

Overall, fantastic for the price. If attending an event at KU it is a short distance from the main campus. In addition it’s very close to the main drag with shopping and restaurants. Quiet location and friendly staff. Overall, if I’m ever in Lawrence, Od stay here. Only issue was a noisy AC unit. I’ll give them a pass on that- I didn’t bring it up or ask for a different room so that’s on me.

Awesome hotel. Very spacious room. 2 chairs to sit on. Great breakfast except for the green bananas! Quite a varierty of food to chose from. Large eating area. Close to the university campus sports field. A very beautiful hotel.

This hotel is nice. However, for the cost to stay one night you should be able to stay a month.

We would recommend you stay at this hotel. We stayed on the third floor, thank goodness it has an elevator so no problem for us old folks, It is about five years old so it has some modern features. It was clean and quiet and we enjoyed the full breakfast. The only negative is you have to drive about 4 - 6 minutes to restaurants.

The young lady at the welcome counter was wonderful. She greeted me very politely, did an excellent job of checking me in, and made me feel very welcome and made sure I knew everything I needed to about stayine at Stonehill. She even provided some excellent information about Lawrence which was much appreciated.

Nice room but had reservations for a king and were given two Queens. Uncomfortable night.
Barn down on shower and toilet sticks shut if closed all the way. Had to open from outside to release husband.
Plugged my charging box into lamp's extra plug in, blue flame shoot out of it. Luckily didn't have charging cable or phone attached. Turned this information into desk.
And clerk asked what room and wrote it down. Breakfast was good, but no butter for toast or waffles??? There was a lot of space to hang out and eat breakfast.

Stayed in a suite & got stuck in the corner next to an exit on the bottom floor. Very clean & fairly new place to stay but very noisy & annoying with constant slamming doors & running up & down the halls above us.

Booked a king bed room and was not given it and hotel wouldn't change my room or offer any compensation

Only item of note was the bathroom floor was not completely clean, the was hair from a prior guest in several of the corners of the floor.

The floors were not carpet which I actually liked, but they were not properly cleaned. There was dirt in the corners, and they were likely mopped with dirty water days before our stay. The grout in the bathroom area was pretty bad. It needs a good scrubbing. The bed frames stuck out under the mattresses which was a tripping hazard. From the knees up, I had no issues at all.

I would stay here again. So nice and everyone was friendly. It has a nice bar option for having an evening cocktail. It has an accessible pool without using a lift. The morning breakfast was delicious and the young man taking care of it was friendly and efficient. Thank You

Hotel lobby/bar really busy as a youth volleyball tournament was held next door, a lot of teens running around, still it was clean and we did not notice any noise as we went to sleep
