We had an amazing stay at this oceanfront hotel. The staff are extremely friendly and professional. The location is perfect - walking distance to the main surfing beach, restaurants, and stores. The hotel rooms and grounds are well maintained. The best thing is the rates are reasonable considering everything I've mentioned. My husband and I would certainly stay here again

Ocean 101 Beach Resort is a decent choice for Cloud 9 at Siargao. The rooms are basic but the ones facing the sea offer good views. The food is also basic but good enough. The staff is friendly and attentive.

Ocean 101 is my favorite resort near Cloud 9. It has a big property away from the noisy street and other resorts. The restaurant is a plus since it is right on the ocean and super good service. Thank you Ocean 101 for a great place for my vacation.

Other reviews are correct. The property has the best view of cloud 9. It's unbeatable. The rooms are very basic. We had a room with no exhaust for the toilet. Not even small window or exhaust fan. Never seen any toilet like that. Staff needs proper training. They are busy chatting or dancing rather than being attentive with guests/customer at the restaurant. They only work hard whenever the manager is around. The resort has a lot of potential, just need renovation and staff training.

beautiful property right next to cloud 9! easy walk or scooter ride into town (20 or 5 minutes respective) excellent and reasonably priced food and drink in the restaurant. right on the water! comfy bed, hot water a rare treat in the philippines, and 4 pillows!!!!! first time i have seen 2 pillows per guest here! we are hostel people and this hotel was an extravagant luxury for us. we truly enjoyed it

I loved the view of the water and palm trees. The location was great you could walk to surf about 2 minutes to cloud 9 and you could watch surfers at quicksilver and jacking horse. Close to get boats to other surf spots

Good - location was 3mins walk to Cloud 9, good view of the sea esp during sunrise, a little sunset view. Grounds were spacious, no street level noise. There's an in-house restaurant / bar. Bad - thin walls, I booked the sea view deluxe room. I woke up at 3am my neighbors were packing and rushing to catch a boat, I could hear every knock and even footstep they made. Staff were generally unhelpful. Nobody offered to help with my bags as I was checking in and it was raining hard. The restaurant staff were un-attentive and didn't seem to have a service mindset. A neighboring table yelled at one waitress who was clearly avoiding customers. During checkout I had a prolonged back and forth with the cashier who said he didn't have change and didn't offer any solutions... out of frustration I said that I would be the one to walk to the resto to get change - and then he admitted that he did have change all this time, he just didn't want to use it and run out. It's my third time to stay here, I come back because of the location. In the future, I'll just avoid eating in their resto and have zero expectations from their staff.

If you really want to relax, I highly recommend this place. The only disappointing about my stay - the staff in the restaurant. I stayed here on non peak days so there arent too many guests. Some days, its just my partner and I dining at the restaurant. I dont really mind that they are dancing to maybe kill time or singing on top of their lungs but please, prioritise your guests. They are not friendly, doesnt smile when approaching guests. They need a bit of training in customer service. One night, we decided to have dinner on the garden side of the restaurant. Suddenly it started raining so my partner and I hurriedly went inside to save our food from the rain. No one from the staff helped us. They were just watching us run back and forth to bring all our plates inside the restaurant. There were like 5-8 of them just sitting on the couch, chatting and using their phones. I have no problem with the other staff. The ones at the reception are friendly and helpful. To the management, please do some actions about this. Especially that you have guests from around the world. that kind of attitude from staff is very unsatisfactory for the overall performance/rating of the hotel.

Location, of course, is great. Rooms are mediocre; staff at restaurant kind a childish and far from professional. Overall, price/value ok.

The view, security and location was great. The food also was really good. Although it takes quite some time to be prepared so don’t be in a rush if you order. When it comes to the rooms. The walls are quite thin so you can hear your neighbor sometimes or the staff outside talking. The shower could be improved. The staff was nice although they forgot to book our van to the airport. I think they should do more efforts and be more service conscious regarding the needs of the clients. Maybe make available hair dryers for rent. Overall We would still come back. We just hope you take into account our comments. We would definitely recommend your place to our friends.

This place is the definition of a beach front vacation spot!! There’s no pool or jacuzzi, but you really don’t need one since you’re literally a couple steps away from the ocean. The staff is very accommodating. The rooms aren’t extravagant, but they have everything you need; a bed, shower, toilet, tv and most importantly, a good working air conditioning. I would definitely stay there again, and I would recommend this place to friends.

Pretty spartan room set up, nothing flash. The restaurant and views over the beach are top notch and there's a slack line and balance board to play with. Staff were friendly but this island life is not always that reliable. I organised for airport pick up which never showed up, I called the hotel and they said just get a cab? Good location close to cloud 9 and other waves but not close to town/pubs etc

One of the best views of the beach and the sunset in siargao. The room is very clean. Very nice hammock by the sea. Restaurant serves delicious smoothie bowls. The only problem is the staff. Our smoothie “bowls” remained outside our room for the entire stay. Nobody bothered to get them despite being in plain sight. No toiletries available. It would have been nice to have a pool, too!

Location is abit far from common walking street at General Luna. The room is clear and beautiful sun set view from the unit.

It was very relaxing. It remind s me of Hawaii.

When we first arrived, there were several staff at the front desk. We checked in and all they did was hand us our key. They did't say anything about the hotel amenities or give us information about our stay. I even had to ask her twice if we were done checking in. The hotel is about a 10 min tricycle ride from all the restaurants and stores. Some parts of the hotel looked run down although the view is amazing. Our kettle still had leftover water from the previous renters so we didn't use it for our coffee. Overall it was good enough to sleep in. We were out most of the day enjoying Siargao.

Pros : Has one of the best beach and sunset views along cloud 9, 10 min away by tricycle to the best restaurants in Siargao and has decent rooms. Our group got 3 rooms which were very clean with aircon and has big bathrooms. Staff were very helpful and nice... Cons: The Honeymoon suite room needs updating particularly its toilet and bath.

The room was very lovely with Seaview although it was not clean enough and there weren't hot water. Food was great and the stuff were very nice and friendly
