If you're looking for 5 star accommodations with all the amenities, go elsewhere. If you're ok with homey atmosphere and quaint quiet rooms, definitely check here. Super nice owner. Barley biscuits and gravy fresh made every morning. Walking distance to Old Town.

The rooms cleanliness wasnt the best. They don't move furniture to vacuum and it showed. There were old dead bugs under the night stands and spider webs. Under the fridge was someone's fake nail that you could easily see from just opening the door on the fridge. There was also smashed bugs on the walls. The bed was comfortable, but we were just more concerned about the cleanliness of the room to properly enjoy it. The building is an old hotel that needs some TLC.

I could not get the heat to come on so was cold most of the night. This led me to not sleep well.

This is a charming place. Yes, it is old, but clean and friendly. It offered a full breakfast and was within walking distance to a variety of restaurants for dining. Although it was close to the main highway and I am a light sleeper, the traffic didn't bother me. It would be nice to have a coffee pot in the lobby for us early risers.

Even though I had read many of the reviews about the Lighthouse Inn before reserving a room, I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt. Besides, it was a busy summer weekend, and I couldn't find another room available. ~ When I arrived, the man and woman on staff were extremely welcoming and accommodating to my needs, and I was pleased with the reception. The lobby, although a little cluttered, was homey and comfortable. There was definitely a vintage look that I actually appreciate, however, when I got to my room, I definitely did the "Oh, my!" type of thing. From the door, I could see the dust bunnies under the bed and the strings of extension cords giving power to everything in the room. As I walked across the floor, I could feel the grittiness of sand with every step making it slippery and unsettling. There appeared to be a nice, thick layer of dust on every flat surface, and it looked like everything could use a deep cleaning. Even though I loved the vintage green tile in the shower stall, I was put off by the thick deposit of sand in all four corners. Uhg! ~ The bed was actually very comfortable, and even though my room was merely feet from Hwy 101, I was surprised how quiet it was, and I never heard a single peep from anyone else either beside or above me.

My husband and I stayed at the hotel for one night during a road trip. The hosts were welcoming and the location was very convenient. However, we noticed that the place is extremely dirty. The carpet in our bedroom looked like it hadn't been vacuumed in a long time. The breakfast room was also very dirty, what made it difficult for us to enjoy our food.

This hotel needs major upgrades. Furniture, tile, mirrors. The comforter smelled like urine....probably housing families going to the beach. Cleaners not laundering the comforter.

The caretakers are pressed to their limits. No A.C in the booked room however there was an unplugged fan provided. One electrical outlet was hanging loose and everything else was plugged into another extension cord/power bar. TV kept bouncing in and out for signal.
Very walkable to lovely downtown Florence which has great little restaurants and shops.
Breakfast / included- was very good and casual but organized and plentiful.

We stayed here while visiting family in Florence. The motel looks okay from the front. There is a walkway around the motel but no city sidewalks out front. The walkway to the front of the motel appeared to have never been swept. Our room was out back. It was very small, maybe 12 X 16. It was clean for the most part but there were dust bunnies under the bed. The bathroom was clean but the sink was not in a cabinet. Thus, no place to put toiletries while cleaning up. There were no hooks on the wall or back of the door to hang clothes while showering or to put damp towels. There was no room service. We were there 4 nites and nothing was refreshed and the trash was not emptied. There were weeds to both sides of the motel and in the rear where we were. Some 4 to 5 feet high. You could not see the stone walkway or the stairs because they were covered with weeds. I had to pull weeds infront of our doorway in order to not track them into our room. Also, there were spider webs everywhere, even around our door. I had to take a broom to all the spider webs around the entrance to our room. The lot we were assigned for parking was littered with trash. The walkways out back had never been swept. Weeds everywhere. We saw three staff member and they were friendly. The owner set out breakfast every morning which was good. The owner should hire someone to clean up and take care of the outside of the building. Inside was okay.

Landscaping was unmaintained. Front desk area looked like a hoarder was living there. Rooms were clean but dilapidated. Staff was nice. Hotel is right on HWY 101 so if you are a light sleeper, this is not for you. You get what you pay for and this hotel is on the low end.

Room had stains in carpet. Landscaping dead or overgrown. Lobby was dusty. Front desk was a sloppy mess. Breakfast preparer didn’t wash hands or wear food handling mitts!

The whole property was completely run down andneeds a serious upgrade. The room was dirty around the edges of everything and actual dirt.

It was a quaint little place and the staff were friendly. The room was fine, with a comfy bed and a nice bathroom. Our mini fridge was turned off when we got there and it wasn’t clear so we thought it was broken at first but it was fine. The breakfast wasn’t the best, nothing bad but nothing to write home about.

Quant motel showing is she in some ways. Love the lobby with the cockatiels. Nice breakfast. Lovely host and great food nearby by the river. Asian fusion place next door that was hopping!

Definitely needs a major remodel. Room was dirty and had stains on the chair covers. The bathroom ceiling looked like it had water damage that hadn't been fixed. As well as water damage around the toilet that had also been ignored. The walls are paper thin, and you can hear every noise from every room around you. This place is good for a quick in and out stay, but id never stay more than 1 night.

The motel was run by an earnest husband/wife team. The older structure had charm, with plentiful seating in the lobby. The simple b'fast was carb-heavy but tasty. Obviously, fruit has become unduly costly in the US these past decades, so was absent other than the standard high-glycemic OJ. The waffles were good, however. Beds were fine, bathroom fine also, though the bathroom sink and faucet were a mis-match, with the faucet extending further forward over the great majority of the sink thus making spillage onto the floor (room 11) a constant factor. The husband/wife team were friendly and smiling, despite being under a large work-load even in this modest-sized property.

My 88 year old mom and I stayed the night while going to visit family. The room was perfect for us. King size bed, table and chairs. TV, microwave, refrigerator and huge bathroom. We were so comfortable in the room. Great breakfast I'm the.mornimg, waffles, biscuits and gravy, tea coffee, juice, All tastes good. Bed was very comfortable. , shower was great. We loved the very large lobby
Great old decorations and fireplace, games, and the cockatiel birds in the cage were so sweet.

Quaint motel right by the bridge at the entrance to town across the street from City hall.
The decor is made up of „older“ style furniture etc.
The motel is pet friendly and has breakfast included. The rooms all have a microwave and refrigerator… the bathrooms are also clean and have quaint touch.
Overall this is a nice place for a quick stay if you have pets.

The walls are paper thin we could have here everyone’s conversations next to us and outside. It was so bad we tried calling around to every other hotel to move there’s. no coffee in the room so we went to go to the free breakfast and it never opened up so we just left as soon as possible.
