Room and bathroom clean but has a weird smell

My first room smelled like cigarettes. I asked for another room , 2nd room also smelled Like cigarettes. I wish I could’ve got a refund but because I reserved reservation same day I wasn’t allowed one . Terrible hotel ratings were misleading . Doesn’t like hotels.com didn’t answer my calls . Overall bad experience from hotels.com and holiday in. Wanted a refunded worst booking ever.

Our 4th stay here over last 18 mos. Front desk staff always cheerful and helpful with check in or questions. Leslie treats you like family when you arrive! Rooms are always clean and in good working order. Only disappointment was the change in breakfast over previous visits. It wasn’t well staffed nor properly maintained/cleaned in the area. Items like coffee, creamer and breakfast staples weren’t refilled and available without asking. Otherwise, a good experience for the price point.

Close to space center

Friendly staff. Linens were stained in room. It just didn't feel very clean.

Room had a horrible moldy smell. We asked for a different room but hotel had no available rooms. It was so bad we almost slept in the car.

Everything was clean and smelled so fresh. The staff was beyond helpful and nice. The breakfast was amazing.

Checked in and went to my room. I thought it was odd that the TV was on and the room was humid. Well, the AC wasn't working and the room didn't have a remote. Check-in was easy and the clerk was nice. Points for that.

It was overnight stay for when we went for our cruise. We wanted to be close to Kemah to hang out over there if we wanted to. When we got there the check in was smooth. We got to our room and there was a smell of like water from the pool. Then we used the toliet and it wouldn’t flush and the bed looked like someone was there and decided to switch rooms it didn’t look like it was made up again. I then went to see if I could switch rooms and there were two others ahead of me with the same idea. When the front desk got to me and I told her what was wrong she looked and didn’t see any other rooms available and seemed overwhelmed and she said she will call us when she can find out what she could do. She called us about 40 minutes later with no solution but the toliet started to fill up again with water and started to work right so we just sanitized the room and delt with it. Also we needed to print off documents and the printer did not work at the self service business center area nor did they have toiletries (toothpaste and toothbrush) It just was not a good stay and I would not go back or recommend.

There was almost never anyone available for help at the front desk. The soaps and all toiletries in the room were mostly empty. The room was also extremely humid and musty to the point that our clean clothes were damp when we woke up in the morning

Everything was good. Would use this hotel again.

Dirty sheets, dirty pool, no hand soap in bathroom. Unpleasant stained carpet.

Check in process went poorly with the worst customer service I have experienced in decades.

Employees were friendly. Breakfast was okay; there wasn’t food out for 15-20 minutes at 8:00am. Bed sheets and pillows had stains. Iron was broken.

Breakfast was not ready at 6:30 as noted. Trash outside was blowing out of the can into parking lot. Counters were cluttered and dirty when I showed up to sign in, had to clear off the counter to set my purse down.

Very pleased. Large room (Senior King Standard), clean, comfortable. Close to boardwalk. Will stay again.
