I like that they give you a code to your room and there is no check in/check out process. However if you needed something from 'the front desk' I feel like that may be an inconvenience? I arrived when it was dark outside and it could be more lit up in the parking area for comfort of safety. I stayed in Room 7 and it was much smaller than I expected (fine for me travelling as a solo person but I don't know where you would put two suitcases). The room was decorated beautifully, modern touches thruout, recently renovated and shower was lovely. They had a coffee pourover setup which is a bonus that I also love and a mini fridge in the room. Walking distance to Pagosa Springs and all the little shops too.

The lack of a front desk means that if you have any issues/concerns during your stay you are inconvenienced more than other places. I had a disgusting body towel, which I found out about later in the evening, and was unable to get a replacement. The bed was soft and lumpy, and the ac unit didn't work to cool, only heat.

When I booked this room, I based my choice on the excellent reviews and ratings. I normally do not choose a Motel because of a previous stay at a Motel. I took a gamble on this Motel. The pictures of the inside of the rooms were nice looking. I was so happy when we walked into the room. It was spotless and decorated just as the pictures showed. The Motel itself is older but it had a very nice room for our stay. My husband and I enjoyed our stay. Thank you!!

Very cute little motel. Rooms are very small but comfortable. Had problems with connecting the TV each day which was a real hassle. Bed was very comfortable and sheets were super soft! Neon Mallard bar, which was part of the Motel, was fabulous with good cocktails and a yummy charcuterie tray.

This is a lovely, unique motel conveniently located by a number of restaurants and shops. The customer service is excellent, and the rooms are immaculate and well-appointed. The most memorable part of the stay is our evenning at the Neon Mallard, the craft cocktail bar located in the motel. The bartended, Michael, is an outstanding host and mixologist, and clearly takes pride and ownership in the striking and unique vibe here. Stopping by for a cocktail, nosh, great music and company is a must if you visit Pagosa Springs.

An unassuming motel on the outside, incredible on the inside! Clearly remodeled recently, all fixtures are new and stylish. For the price, we had a really nice little suite with two beds in one room and a living area/kitchenette. Even better, it’s on the Main Street within short walking distance to all the cool stuff in town. I will absolutely be staying here again.

Room was clean with lovely little extras to make it nice (coffee, pot, and real cups). Our room did not look like most of the pics online that you see with warm wood paneling. Our room was stark white and very very small. We booked a Q bed for $286. We couldn’t open the bathroom door the whole way because the door hit the toilet!! There was a yellow blinking light on some white box attached to the wall that kept us kind of awake all night. I passed this info on to the very lovely host.(she was very lovely - I’m not being snarky!) She said the light was for deaf patrons and should have been off. (We didn’t realize it until too late to call). Regarding the very different look of the room from what we were expecting she said we should book the larger rooms. For the price, the reviews and ratings, and pics- we were disappointed. Certainly would keep all this in mind in future booking here.

Self check in was easy. Our room looked like the photos but was super small. The ac unit was very loud and not consistent. The lighting was awful, it was so dark even w every light on and shades open. The bed/bedding was comfortable. The bathroom was tiny, not enough towels, tiny sink not enough space to get ready, terrible water pressure and toiletries. The Neon Mallard was only open 4pm-8pm. It was within walking distance to everything. We stayed 2 nights, but this place is good for 1 night but no longer.

We stayed in room #4 and only a dribble of water came out of the shower head. I couldn't even wash my hair. And, the bedding smelled so bad and was so strong it gave me a headache. This was presumably from their washing procedure. Most hotels use unscented products.
