I had stayed many times at this hotel but these past few times, the hot shower is almost non existence, the water isn't even warm. A warmer water is better than having cold shower especially early in the morning. Please fix the hot water in the shower!!

When I am in San Jose I usually stay at Cultura Plaza Hotel. It's great with fine dinning restaurants, lots of activities and great shopping within walking distance.

We had a great stay here. The receptionist was extremely helpful for information and his English was fantastic. The breakfast was also very good. We didn’t really feel safe in San Jose so it was nice to have a safe place to go back to. Would definitely recommend

A good modern style hotel in central San Jose. Room was excellent for arrival or stop overs. Staff were not that friendly. The breakfast is included. But the issue is time. Most of guests were being picked up at 0700 and breakfast starts then. All that is offered is a juice or coffee and small roll to take away.

Jose, the front desk agent was great. He was very informative with all/any questions we had. The location was perfect for my purpose. The hotel was very clean along with the rooms. The only slight negative is that it can be noisy. All in all, i will be back.

This is a very basic accommodation in central San Jose. The room we had had no windows, there is no coffee maker or other amenities. Breakfast was included in their lobby cafe and is made to order. The big downside is that there is no nearby parking. You have to go to the 6th St El Colloso parking lot which is a 10 minute walk and it's about $30 to park overnight. The location is pretty central, right next to the pedestrian walks with shopping and dining.

I stay at Cultura Plaza Hotel when I come to center San Jose. CR. It is close to shopping and dining. Included breakfast is off a menu and good.

Im really glad I booked this stay. I was there almost a week and all the staff are very accomodating and friendly. The free brekfast was great. My only complaint is the walls are a little thin so you can hear everything in the hallway but that's a common thing with hotels like this so it's to be expected I guess. I love that the location is literally a fee feet from city center and I loved being able to walk everywhere.

Good rooms and excellent facilities. Great service. Good breakfast. Location is good in terms of being close to main tourist attractions in San Jose. Unfortunately, the area has become very unsafe, dirty and unpleasant overall. Wouldn’t recommend this location, especially for families with children.

Friendly staff. Need a chair in the room, need a floor mat in the shower too slippery with the slope. The frig did not have a temperature gauge and the items did not get cold. Other than these things is was a great place to stay. It was close to the museum, busses, and stores.

The rooms are small and the walls are thin. The hotel is located near many food options and a convenience store. You can book tours through the hotel and they will pick you up and drop you off in the lobby. Breakfast is cooked to order and there are sandwiches and drinks for purchase as well.

This hotel was great for the one night we spent ahead of our flight. It was located in an area that has a lot of museums and is very walkable, but the area itself is the downtown of a major city so it didn’t feel the safest. That being said, our experience was completely fine; just be vigilant. Our accommodations were small, but clean and had a nice bathroom and clean, comfortable bed.

The place is located in the center of San Jose, very convenient, you can walk to anywhere, a good price, and the staff is very friendly. I would give it 5 stars if they had laundry service. I highly recommend it.

I made the mistake of booking 6 days in the hotel, for my husband. The room was NEVER clean even though he complained every day! Towels never were changed! To expensive for the poor quality they provide you with. Breakfast is SCAM!! Just black coffee and a piece of bread; supposed to the run out of “food” almost every day even though he was there early. Definitely I won’t stay in that hotel NOT EVEN FOR FREE! Is a disaster. I am pretty sure they wrote their own review for people believe is great!! Is TRASH

Stayed for one night before an early taxi. Did the job without any frills, but that’s exactly what we needed - we appreciated them providing sandwiches given we were too early for breakfast. One thing to note: we found the area around the hotel quite dodgy in the evening, so ordered Uber eats rather than going to a restaurant

Very central location. Modern facilities. Minuses: if you are staying on the second floor you will hear everything happening downstairs / at the reception area. Not all rooms have windows. Very basic breakfast - you can choose fruits and beverage or sandwich and beverage - that’s it.

This is another property that is perfectly located near the National Museum and Cultural center of San Jose. It's location made points of interest very accessible and within a short walk. The only downside, actually two, are the breakfast and the size of the room. Both are small and skimpy. But for the price and downtown location, it's a deal. The free breakfast will tide you over until you can get to your second breakfast! Great selection but small portions. Add on to your free order! The room is tiny but has AC! The bathroom is a squeeze to do your morning routine but its very clean and modern. It's smaller than a studio or efficiency. Kind of like a New York closet condo. Somehow they make the space work - like an IKEA floorplan!

We would recommend this hotel to anyone looking to explore shopping and museums in San Jose. It was perfectly located and everything was easily walkable. The staff was fantastic, and so helpful! Breakfast was delicious...I wish I had asked for the recipe for the tortillas used in the burrito gallo pinto. There was a bit of street noise, but not too bad. The room was basic, but clean and comfortable. We will use this hotel again!

I had to do a quick layover in San Jose. I spend around 200 nights a year in motels or airbnbs. Having to leave for the airport at 130 in the morning i left my plastic card key in the room. When getting to reception he said i needed to guve him the plastic key card before he let me out. I pointed out my uber was clearing waiting for me. He said he would not unlock the door until he verified the key was in the room. This is not a normal key, mind you, its just a plastic key card. I said please just let me out, and assured him that it was there. He walked away. Spent at least 8 minutes going to my room to get this key. Meanwhile my uber left. Was charged for the no show fee even though i was a pane of glass away from outside. Lastly he came down holding tip i had left for the cleaners. I told him that wasnt for him that it was for the cleaners. He just shrugged and slowly unlocked the door. I always leave the best reviews foe everyone. But this to me crossed a lot of boundaries.

Walls are paper thin. You will hear everything. Especially the traffic outside. So no sleep for you unless you can sleep through loud noises all night. Also take you a face towel because the hotel only provided the larger body and medium hand towels. The hotel is in a good location though. That was a plus.
