Everything was fine with my room and stay, very clean, very nice staff. There was an "odd" smell, faint in the lobby, much worse in the first-floor hallway where my room was. I could not identify it, was either related to sewage/plumbing or some kind of horrible cleaner. I was very unpleasing, luckily it did not permeate into the room, which again, was fine.

The breakfast was great

My only suggestion is in a King bedroom there should be places for 2 suitcases instead of just one. We had to use the chair for the 2nd suitcase which was awkward. Also, this Avid Hotel has the same thing missing in the shower as another one where we have stayed...no place for our personal toiletries if we don't use hotel's. Otherwise we will be looking to find an Avid on future trips!

Convenient and very clean

There is one sore spot. Two of us were sharing a room which is equipped with only one chair. I realize there are also two cushioned boxes to sit on, but NO THANK YOU. Only one of us could be seated at a time. Sitting on a bed or box just doesn't cut it if a person has to read or type or even if the two of us wanted to eat take out at the desk. It doesn't have to be a rolling desk chair; a simple 4-legged chair would be fine. A second issue is the shower head. I could see it was adjustable and I could tap the bottom of it to re-aim it a bit, but at 5'10" with 36" sleeves, I could not reach the handle that would allow adjustment of the flow. That would have been nice, but it is not nearly as important as the second chair.

We stayed here as a last minute resort because our accomodations we were supposed to stay at cancelled on our ride down. I quickly looked up hotels in the area and picked this from the pictures online and they didn't disappoint. This hotel was very clean, the staff was very accomodating and the room was very comfortable. I would highly recommend it!

The small details really make this hotel stand out. The fresh ground and brewed coffee available 24/7; the larger than most elevators; the in-room steam irons; the excellent step-in shower; the pull down window shades that both darken the room but don’t block the view; the wonderful king size bed with exceptional linens and bed cover; plenty of usb ports; good television which integrates seamlessly communicating with hotel services; even the clever magnetic do not disturb signs!

Clean and easy stay close to the beach

It was okay for a night. The walls and floors were thin which made for some unwanted noise. Breakfast was mediocre and the trash cans in the breakfast area were not being emptied, even with 3 staff members in sight.

Son fell ill, and neded to rush to hospital. Hotel wouldnt provide refund. Expedia reached out and they couldn't get them to reconsider. Booked on Friday for a Sunday stay, so obviously it was an emergency.

Perfect experience for a quick, convenient and economical hotel stay.

I travel for a living. This is the worst IHG hotel I have ever seen. It is not clean and the staff are extremely rude and unprofessional. Be very careful with your credit card if you do stay here. It is not in a nice area, sketchy and loud. I do not recommend the Avid hotel in Millsboro, DE. There are far better places nearby.

It was wonderful! We went to see Train in concert and picked this location which was closer to the venue than the beach. The hotel was immaulate, the beds were comfortable, pool was really nice and warm. The free breakfast had a good amount of choices. The coffee machine ground the beans for brewing. Nice outdoor seating area for a night cap was also very nice. This hotel was awesome! We'll l be back!

This is a new type of hotel in the American market. For those who have traveled to France, it is something like the Ibis chain of no frills hotels. There isn't even a closet or a chest of drawers in the room to place items, this is especially bothersome to anyone stay more than one night. I picked this hotel because it looked clean and modern and it met those objectives. I wouldn't stay there again unless it was necessary by location or for some other reason but there was nothing particularly objectionable. If traveling alone for a quick overnight business stop, no problem.

amazing location, surrounded by lots stores, easy access to Rehoboth beach (De) and Ocean City (Md). the stuff is very friendly and location completely clean. definitely a great place to book again.

Overall, really nice hotel and it was a lovely surprise. I love that they have a refillable water station with both still and sparkling water options and coffee that is made by the cup. Rooms were quiet and no carpet, yay! The bathrooms have nice products, Dove, and it was overall a nice experience. Breakfast options were fine. A step above a continental but not a full bar, but enough to get your day started. I would recommend if you are staying in the area.

The young man that checked me in was very pleasant happy and you could tell he enjoyed his job he was very knowledgeable and had a quick answer for every question I had. The rooms are brand new in design they look amazing in the beds are super comfortable when checking out the same young man was at the counter accompanied by a young woman both were again very happy and super Pleasant they definitely enjoy their job and I can see why. I will be coming back for sure the atmosphere was amazing the hotel was comfortable it was definitely a good decision

Stay here was good. Upon arriving, large caucasian women (around 11:15am) spent more time, disputing my paid reservation, then actually taking time to look. It was cool though, cause I KNEW, I was CONFIRMED. She needs to do better, by AVID customers! After our late check in (12 midnight, our fault), accommodations were good, even without carpet on the floor? Free Parking and Breakfast was good. I would stay again!.

My husband and I had a three night stay. We knew this was a newer hotel. Location is good to access main roads and local shopping. Upon arrival, the woman behind the desk was working on her computer, didn't even look up or say hello. After a minute or so, she (without looking up to me) said "name?". Not warm and friendly; not good in a service business. She announced some rules by rote and without a smile. The room was small, but clean and totally adequate. The bathroom was clean and good Dove products (shampoo, conditioner, hand wash and body) were provided. The bed was probably fine for most people...I prefer a firmer mattress. Bigger issue: as soon as we first walked in the room, and every time after, the room had an unpleasant smell, and was so very humid. The hallways were the same, and a slight urine scent was detectable. Granted, we've been in a heat wave lately. But controlling the air with the thermostat in the room was unreliable. Adequate breakfast items were provided in the main lobby, except--don't bother with the remade Jimmy Dean egg sandwiches--horrible--though I did eat the egg because I needed the protein, ha! So, I hope improvements are made and Avid succeeds there.
