Built in 2011, completely refurnished and refreshed in 2022. This house is great for a large family or for two small families

Sleeps up to 10 in 2 queen beds, 2 twin bunk beds (4 twin beds total) and 1 queen air mattress. The air mattress is best for kids

OUTDOOR LIVING: Large furnished covered deck with deck chairs and beach views. Downstairs has a large Tiki Bar with outdoor seating and a deck swing. The backyard has a fire pit with seating and gorgeous decorative lighting

INDOOR LIVING: 4 flat-screen Smart TVs, open layout, beautiful furnishings

KITCHEN: Large kitchen with a twelve-place bar and table seating, plastic cups and bowls for the kids, crock pot, blender, toaster, basic spices, cooking basics, ice maker, dishware, flatware, margarita glasses and wine glasses.

Includes a fully stocked coffee bar with a combo K-cup & drip coffee maker, a french press and pour-over coffee along with an assortment of fresh coffee beans, k-cups and tea

LINENS AND LAUNDRY: 1 bath towel per guest; all linens for all beds: sheets, pillows, comforters etc; kitchen towels, hand towels, washcloths, makeup cloths, 8 beach towels

Extras Provided: Starter supplies of trash bags, paper towels, toilet paper, dish soap, dishwasher soap, hand soap, shampoo, conditioner and body wash, laundry detergent. If you are staying more than three days you may need to purchase more of these extras!

What a great place to stay. Neighbors were friendly and the beach is about a hundred yards from the front door. We had a great experience and I am currently checking dates to book our next family vacation here!

The decision to stay at the beach for the Fourth of July was spur of the moment and this cabin stood out! We had plenty of room to sleep and hang out! The hot tub was a huge hit with the family, and the distance from the beach was perfect! It was clean, communciation before during and after the stay was great! Overall it allowed our family to create wonderful memories this 4th! Thank you! Would definitely rent again!

Overall the cabin was very clean and the master bathroom is huge and awesome rain shower head with great water pressure. The cabin itself was fine. The location is on a busy street with public beach access so there were constantly big trucks speeding down that road. The grass in the fenced in yard had not been cut in weeks and was too high and full of stickers so every time my dogs went outside they were covered in them. The portable hot tub was nice but takes an entire day to heat up and if you are only staying 2 nights you basically can only use it for 1. Aside from those things the cabin is well decorated , clean and nice and close to the beach. If you want to be in the action then this is the place but if you are looking for a relaxing weekend this is not the area. I prefer something with private access to the beach which would cut down on the traffic on that street. The location is close to restaurants , stores , etc. The cabin is very nice and clean and is a nice place but we happened to be there on prom weekend so there were parties all night long going on everywhere in that neighborhood and constant trucks speeding up and down the road at all hours. The host is nice and somewhat responsive. I like the cabin just not the location and was disappointed that I brought my pet and the weeds were a foot tall compared to the cabins on either side of me

My family and I had a great time getting away and we were able to enjoy the peace and quiet that came with it. The house had everything we needed during our stay and are happy we booked it.

5 STARS!!!! Inwould give 10 if I could. My family and I recently stayed here for a long weekend to celebrate my birthday. Everyone had an awesome time!! First off, the place was very clean and the location was perfect. I am talking a 2 minute walk to the beach. You have a great view of the water and you can hear the waves at night, that's how close we are talking. The description was completely accurate. The kids loved the game room. My wife and I enjoyed the hot tub. Our dog loved having a fenced in grass yard to run around in. The check in and out process was very simple and easy. They literally have everything you need. We had no issues and the communication from David was quick during the check in and out process. We have been down to Crystal Beach about 6x now since we moved to TX 3 years ago. And this will now be our spot. We had plenty of room for the four of us and the pup. You could have plenty of room even with another family of four. It was a great trip. I highly recommend!

The location and beach house was nice but it came with some uninvited guest. We had several encounters with cockroachs even after we sprayed the whole house with bug spray. On day four we decided to cut the trip short, messaged the host(no response), packed our bags, cleaned up and left. We still haven't heard from the host to at least refund our security deposit and texted and called the same number I used before our stay. We're currently waiting on a response from Dave and our security deposit.

We loved the sound of the waves and being so close to the beach. The house was beautiful we really loved the hot tub down stairs. Our host was very nice and helpful. We plan to go back in the future. We had an amazing time the local people are very nice and helpful. We would highly recommend the runaway beach home for wonderful relaxing vacation. We had an excellent stay and already looking forward to our return.

Our family of 6 had a wonderful stay at The Runaway. Home was clean and comfortable. Kitchen was well stocked. Split bedroom/bath floor plan was helpful for some who prefer to sleep in. Large balcony with beautiful beach views. Easy walk or golf cart ride to the beach. Host was attentive and easy to reach. We'd love to rent again soon!

We needed a place close to Margaritaville to see a classmate play in a band. Great cabin close to the beach. Allowed us to hang on the beach til late afternoon, get cleaned up and then over to the show. Fun house!!!!

It is a very nice cabin, plenty of space for activities by the tiki bar, nice outdoor fire pit for s’mores and just lounging around. Beds are super comfortable, very pleased with my stay.

The house is pretty nice. Comparable to the listing. We had an issue that prevented us from staying the evening and did not receive a response or an offer for even a partial refund or something back from owner. Just would have appreciated that. The house overall though was an easy walk straight to the beach and the kids room looked very cute with a lot of sleeping space. Large kitchen!

What a great beach getaway. The house is clean, in great condition and has all the modern conveniences. The beach Is just a 2 minute walk and you can see and hear the waves from the amazing porch. We loved the fire pit area and had fun sitting by the fire and roasting marshmallows each night we were there. The owners really take good care of the property.

We loved our stay at this beach house. It’s absolutely beautiful with a huge wrap around balcony & amazing views of the ocean. We had a blast making drinks in the tiki bar then hanging out around the fire pit. We also loved the lighting, swing and hammock downstairs. It is definitely set up to have a good time. The inside of the house was perfect too. The kitchen had everything we needed and more. The beds are amazingly comfortable (which is hard to find in a beach rental). No expenses spared in this beautiful home. And last but not least, the owner was the best. Very quick to respond if we needed anything. Check in/out instructions were very clear. This couldn’t have been more perfect. Thank you again David for sharing your beautiful home with us. I highly recommend!!

The Runaway was a great place for my family of 6 to stay in. We all very much enjoyed being able to walk to the beach each day, and even each night, and then simply walk back to the house. One of the features not listed in the description, but during the fall of 2022 while we were staying there, we had an unblocked view of the sunrise over the gulf. It was breathtaking. At one point we thought we were limited on the number of bath towels, but since there were so many beach towels provided we weren't too worried. However, as I was preparing my clothes for the dryer I discovered an entire load of more than enough bath towels for everyone. So if you're needing more, look there. The beds were all very comfortable, which I always find to be something of a mystery, but this time the beds were great! My family had a great time during our fall break, and even got to enjoy roasting marshmallows on the fire pit. Thank you for providing such great accommodations to help us make lasting memories for our family.

We had a great trip to Crystal Beach. The Vrbo was clean, in a great location, and easy for families with littles. We enjoyed the making s’mores in the bonfire pit, hanging out at the tiki bar and of course the majority of the time lounging at the beach. We did rent a golf cart which made everything easier! Our kids loved riding in the cart and mom got to keep her car sand free. Highly recommended! The owner was a breeze to work with and we’d recommend this place as it checked all the boxes.

We were looking for a quiet, relaxing getaway, and this was the perfect place. The house was close enough to the beach to sit out on the porch and watch the sunrise over the ocean, or to take a quick drive down to the water. The tiki bar downstairs was a very cool hangout spot while we grilled. This place had everything we needed, and the location is great. It’s close to the big store in case you forget anything. Check in was smooth, with great communication from the hosts. Definitely will be back.
