Start your Hill Country "stay-cation" at this perfect water front cottage! Located a scenic 70 minutes from Austin or San Antonio, it's an easy get-away. Gorgeous park-like yard provides plenty of space for fun and relaxation. You'll love the fun cowboy retro décor and comfy furniture.
The cottage has a large living/dining area and a kitchen with a large serving bar. Sleeps 7 comfortably; The cottage amenities include satellite TV, DVD, BBQ gas grill, all kitchen utensils, blender, toaster, drip coffee maker, microwave, and full size washer/dryer. The bedroom has a king size bed including all linens for the bed and bath. Also includes a futon (sleeps 1 adult or two children), a full bed with all linens and pillows included. The leather sofa in the living room has a queen inner spring mattress.
The property is on the waterfront of a Colorado River channel connecting to Lake LBJ. Expansive waterfront provides easy access for water fun. Fish from the dock day, take a cool dip in the water or float on your air mattress -- no boat is needed to have fun in the water at El Rancho Pescado!

Everything was perfect. Lots of parking, beautiful huge oak trees, A/C worked wonderfully, kitchen was fully equipped, and the boat lift was sooooo convenient that it makes me want to change lakes. Boat docks are prohibited on our lake. We would definitely stay in the property again. It is a one bedroom and will sleep several people, but would recommend for small families, not couples. Wonderful experience overall!!!

This is my first experience with a Vrbo property and my husband and I were happy. The place was clean, in a quiet area and equipped with anything one would need for a weekend stay. My only suggestion is that some type of nonslip mat be placed in the master bath as well as something to hold onto when getting in and out.
Overall the experience was very positive and I would certainly return.

We love the Moonshadow Ranch property! It’s perfect for two twelve year old boys (fishing right off the boat slip and plenty of space to explore), and two parents who need peace and quiet to read and recoup from the daily grind. The new windows are beautiful, fit perfectly with the architecture, and provide privacy in the bathrooms. We look forward to our next stay at the ranch!

This is a wonderful waterfront property with huge tree's nestled on a quiet street in Kingsland. A perfect weekend getaway and the Owner was extremely helpful and made the stay 5-star. Would definitely come back to this spot and I highly recommend to anyone looking for a quiet place with a great yard!

This home and property made for an amazing holiday weekend. The house was cozy, charming, comfortable and it’s history in the area was cool to read about. We loved the quiet, calm cove just a minute from open water. The entrance to the cove has always been our favorite anchored swimming spot on LBJ, so that was convenient. We cooked all of our meals at the house and they had everything we needed. They really did think of everything a guest could possibly need. The owner was friendly and extremely helpful and responsive. We would love to reserve this property again. Highly recommend!

Perfectly centrally located in Kingland, on a quiet road and cove, but close to everything. This home met all of my families vacation needs including being able to bring our dogs. I would definitely recommend this rental to others.

Peaceful
My family and I had a very peaceful retreat at this lovely cottage. There was plenty of space for our family. The yard was beautiful and I love being able to pull our boat right up to break from the sun for a bit. We had no issues and communication was exceptional. Our dog had a great time swimming as well

Great cabin on beautiful cove!
We truly enjoyed our time at El Rancho Pescado! The pictures don't do this quiet, cute cabin justice. The property is beautiful with water access that leads to the Colorado River and the cabin is stylish, retro cowboy/ranch. The cabin was clean and had all the supplies you could ever need. We are planning on staying again! Plenty of room for a family of 4!

We rented this property to take our grandsons fishing. It was the perfect spot! Property was clean and very well maintained. We had everything we needed. Property was conveniently located to everything anyone would need. The fish were biting! The owners were easy to work with and very accommodating. We will definitely go back again.

We enjoy a setting that does not look like suburbia, and this was perfect for us. The back yard/dock are lovely and we ate most of our meals outside. The kitchen is well-stocked with a good selection of cooking utensils. Nice to have some extras around (vinegar, extra spices). A lovely place to stay for a few days or R&R.

Retro Escape to Nature
Adorable cottage in an awesome landscape. Relaxed in the hammock or the swing beneath huge heritage oaks by the water. We were greeted one evening by a hooting owl. It was the perfect getaway!

This was a beautiful property right on the water. It was still a little too chilly to get into the water but we were able to roast marshmallows in the giant fire pit and just enjoy the peace and quiet. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was stocked with what we needed. We will happily book again.

A Quiet Getaway On The Lake
We found the cottage to be very clean and well equipped. All of the appliances were new and worked very well. The location on the waterfront was very lovely and we really enjoyed being outside. We enjoyed observing the birds. There were several very large oak trees that were beautiful and one had ten cardinals in it at the same time.

Hammock relaxation for the wiN!
This was certainly what we needed. A quaint and historic cabin on the shores of a lake inlet. The cabin had everything we needed, fully equipped kitchen, barbecue, and was well set up. The hammock was my favourite spot for a reading afternoon in the slight breeze and along the water watching the boats go by. There were lots of places to hang out -- a lovely two person tree swing, Adirondack chairs. the opportunity to swim, and tv or games indoors if the weather didn't cooperate. The wifi could be a bit spotty and the bed was softer than we like, but overall this was a wonderful and much needed vacation spot. We had lovely and responsive hosts as well. Perfect!

El Rancho Pescado
This trip was our second stay at ERP. The location is perfect for our 9 year old and his friend. They could head down to the water for fishing any time they pleased and the spacious yard provided ample room for the boys to chase lizards, run around, and have super soaker battles!
At the same time, my wife and I could relax in the comfortable living room and read! We took the kayaks out early one morning and enjoyed a peaceful tour of the canal. Our family truly enjoyed the ability to disconnect from 2020 and focus on relaxing by the water together!

Decompression Time
Due to the pandemic, our vacations we had planned were all cancelled. So we decided to just go up the road and stay on the lake. It was a perfect setting and the cottage absolutely met our style and comfort. The house was fully stocked and I love the retro kitchen with all modern appliances. The owner was amazing in responding to us for anything we had questions on. We rented a boat for the day and it was great touring Lake LBJ and Horseshoe Bay. Did some fishing and pure relaxation. For our very high stress jobs, we couldn't ask for anything better to decompress and refocus. Thank you to the Fishers!
