About this house rental

The Surf Shack is the perfect home for large families and groups. Located walking distance to the river, beach, and ocean this spacious 6 bedroom, 3 bath home has a private heated pool with a large covered patio featuring outdoor dining and living room areas, gas grill and fire pit. The kitchen was renovated December '24 with all new cabinets, countertops, and backsplash and a new island with seating. The Surf Shack is in a great location where there's so much to do nearby! The beach is only 6 blocks away! Take the kayaks to the river launch across the street and enjoy watching dolphins and manatees. You'll enjoy the bikes, kayaks, paddle boards, and all the beach gear you need for a fantastic vacation experience.

Cameras are located at the front door exterior and overlooking the driveway for security. The property may be equipped with a decibel monitoring sensor located inside and outside of the home. This sensor is 100% privacy compliant since it only measures noise level and doesn't record any sounds. A rental agreement and security deposit hold are required.

We are an offshore powerboat race team and we were there for the Cocoa Beach race. We needed a place for the whole team to stay and be comfortable. They loved the home. Worked perfectly for everyone. Will reserve for next year for sure.

We had an *epic* Easter break at the Cocoa Beach Surf Shack. This is by far the most well appointed home we’ve ever rented. They thought of everything - several bikes, beach chairs, kayaks, games and more. There was something for everyone in the family to enjoy! This home is VERY well stocked and we easily sat down for Easter dinner for 12. There was nothing lacking in the kitchen. Every utensil and appliance was available! The location is fantastic - a quiet mid-century style Neighborhood with a beachy vibe. It’s a short 10 min walk to the beach and plenty of parking if driving. Publix is close by and it’s 10 min drive to the iconic Ron Jon Surf Shop. Best part… we were able to view *2* rocket launches from the beach! That was incredible! Thanks to the host Teresa for making the process so easy and enjoyable. I Highly recommend the Surf Shack!

Teresa is an excellent host! The house has been recently updated and is completely stocked with everything a family might need during a stay. The pool is a great hangout after a day at the beach and it’s easy to drop the kayaks in the river to go search for dolphins. Plenty of space. Our family recommends!!!

We had the best time at Cocoa Beach Surf Shack. The girls and I felt very comfortable in the neighborhood. The house was stocked with all our needs including kayaks and bikes. The pool was a wonderful temperature and we loved it. All in all a very good choice for us…

It was such a fun house with heated , pool water across the street to canoe and kayak with furnished equipment, games and activities at the house that we never left that day. Beach access within a mile to Wilson park Plenty of room to prepare meals or just visit and relax around the house.

Very clean and well maintained home. For our family perfectly. Pool is nice and so are the kayaks. Got to watch 2 rocket launches from the backyard as well. Minutes from the beach and lots of food. Would highly recommend this property.

We just came home yesterday from the "Surf Shack" and I can say that the name is absolutely perfect in a very positive way. The property is a long sprawling ranch with a California Surf feel which produced a nice vacation atmosphere. The pool was great. The house was so well equipped and extremely organized, from the kitchen to the bathrooms with more than ample towels as well as an immacutlate garage filled with every piece of equipment one could need for the beach. It was an easy bike ride to a beautiful beach. You can walk it as well. Theresa was very accommodating and we even got to see a rocket launch. Thank you for a great little getaway with my family.

We had the best time at this rental. Everything you need to have an amazing beach trip was included with this house. There were tons of bikes, water gear, and beach chairs/ umbrellas. Everything we needed was at this house. It was clean. Communication was beyond great. The pool area was fun. We had the best week! The beach was a 3 minute drive or a 10 minute walk and we did both. Disney was only an hour drive and Kennedy Space Center was 30 minutes away. Very close to tons of yummy placed to eat. I would recommend this rental to everyone. I hope we get to go back again soon! Thank you for the best week!

Overall, we enjoyed our stay. We only had issues with the amount of bugs in the backyard (we were bitten quite a bit!!), the house wasn't cleaned as thoroughly as we would have expected (trash caught in the carpet, main floors were not swept/mopped underneath furniture, food left in the sink strainer, etc). The other issue was that the outdoor trash cans were not taken and emptied prior to our arrival and were overflowing with rotten trash on our first day. The pool was fun even though there appears to be issues with the filter. But the neighborhood was quiet, close to everything and the back porch/bar area was a great place to sit and enjoy our time by the pool!

Host was very accommodating for any needs or requests. Space worked great for our two families…plenty of space for everyone & the outdoor space was really nice & big. If you need a perfect house in perfect condition…keep looking, but if you need a big space with a pool & other amenities, this is your place. If we weren’t renting during peak week, i would feel like we overpaid.

The house was perfect for our family in every way. The rooms were large and 2 of the 3 bathrooms were renovated. I loved the large kitchen and dining area which enabled our group to all eat together. We would not have been able to do this in a restaurant. We then played games in the living room which were also provided there at the house. There were plenty of towels for bathing and the pool. The backyard was private. We had a few questions and the owner responded immediately and also made some suggestions for viewing the rocket launch and where to eat. Unfortunately, it was chilly but the launch area for the kayaks or paddle board were a 1/2 block away.

My brothers and sisters wanted to stay together while in the Cocoa Beach area for our Mother’s 85th. (Mom lives in Cape Canaveral.) Surf Shack was absolutely perfect and Teresa is a rock star!! The lay out of the home was perfect, and the outdoor living area is ideal for entertaining. The pool and pool temperature was addicting. Love the “large” noodles to float in the pool all afternoon. We BBQ’ed 1 evening, and it turned out to be a fantastic dinner. I just wish we were not so busy with all the birthday celebration activities because we did not take advantage of the high quality bikes and the kayaks/paddle boards. I would definitely rent Surf Shake again when our family does not fit into Mom’s 2-bedroom condo. Thank you Teresa for all you did to make our stay a 5-star experience.

The Surf Shack is a wonderful property conveniently located near everything. Its décor fits the beach vibe and the layout of the house was perfect for our large family, including an awesome back patio and yard. The kitchen is well-stocked and the furniture comfortable. There are plenty of recreational toys for outdoor fun. We enjoyed taking the kayaks on the river, which is a short walk from the house. The host was responsive and provided excellent service. This is a rental we would return to!

This house was a great place to host a family get together. It was great to have 6 bedrooms. We enjoyed a local Arts and Crafts Fair and even got to see a rocket launch!
