About this cottage rental

Relax, retreat and recuperate at Hilltop Haven Cottage in Rimrock, Arizona. Panoramic views, comfortable decor, easy access and centrally located - just 20 minute drive to Bell Rock in Sedona, 20 minutes to Camp Verde & Cottonwood, 2 1/2 hrs to the Grand Canyon The cottage is most suited for a single, married or commited couple who are seeking a quiet and peaceful environment. This is the perfect place to unwind, meditate, promote healing and enjoy the outdoors.

Pet policy:

We allow dogs if they are: well trained and behaved, not allowed on furniture or on the beds, not left alone when you go out, and don’t bark regularly or incessantly. As the owner, you agree to clean up after your dog, and to dispose of the waste in a special trash bin. It’s helpful if your dog is recently groomed and/or doesn’t shed (much). Please ask about your dog ahead of time. There is an additional charge of $10/night.

We allow cats only if they do not scratch or shed. The guest will bring a bed, litter box, and optional scratchng post if necessary, for the cat and there is a $10/night charge.

The space

Located on a hilltop in Rimrock, the cottage has sweeping vistas of the surrounding mountains and Coconino National forest. Rimrock is a very quiet and safe location, far enough away from the busy tourist areas but close enough to northern Arizona's most popular destinations.

The cottage is located at the end of a rectangular building that is divided into three sections-the cottage at one end, our office/apartment in the middle and a single car garage at the other end. We sometimes stay in the apartment when the house is rented.

Guest access
If we are on the property we like to give a bried tour to our guests, Otherwise there is a lockbox with key access.

The cottage is located about 25' from the main house and guests have complete privacy to come and go as they please. The cottage (consisting of approx. 300 sq/ft), deck and pergola is set up as a studio with kitchenette (convection oven, hot plate, coffee maker, instant hot water kettle, microwave, toaster, utensils, plates and refrigerator. We keep a supply of organic coffees and herbal teas on hand.

Other things to note
Smoking is strictly prohibited indoors but there is a designated smoking area outside. Please bring your own ashtray.

It was fantastic the place is beautiful. Everything about the home Garden the views. Were outstanding. Peace and quiet out in the middle of nowhere. There are no stores or restaurants close by so u do need to pick stuff up.

A quaint property atop of a hill with a vast view of the flatlands before the mountain ranges. The neighborhood is very remote, 30 minutes from Sedona. The cottage has all of the typical studio rental amenities like cooking supplies, sitting area, and towels, plus they had a portable bathroom heater, chairs in the garden facing the sunset, and a great from porch. The hosts were especially friendly and thoughtful. The property vibe was safe, serene, and warm.

We had a lovely time staying at the cottage and using it as a base for exploring the Sedona area and other nearby towns. The hosts were helpful and kind, and the cottage itself is quaint and warm. Highly recommend!

great little cottage, quiet neighborhood, good location for my needs. beautiful sunsets. liked the privacy. listing was accurate and hosts were available if needed. kitchen stocked with basics. freezer did not fully freeze. kitchen sink was bathroom sink. a somewhat steep hill/gravel road to get to house but once up, flat and easy to access.

Great property! Clean, well maintained, comfortable. Great internet. Kitchen and cooking took a little bit of work to maximize but there were lots of options available for meal prep A small freezer would be a welcome addition.

Wow! What a gem and we hope to return. The little cottage is comfortable and has everything you need to hermit. Well appointed kitchen, comfortable furnishings and cool stuff to browse, fast wifi, a great bed! We loved the privacy, the magical illuminated garden with a view, and the superb access to area attractions, which almost seemed like an aside. We checked out Montezuma's Well, got in the river at Red Rock and drove the 89A up to Slide Rock and the DQ! Thanks for sharing your little slice of heaven!

The property was clean, quiet, RELAXING, and peaceful. Perfect for two. Close to the freeway but far enough away to relax and enjoy the scenery. Montezuma's Well was close as well as Cliff Castle Casino, Sedona, Cottonwood and plenty of places to hike. Thank you!

Hilltop Haven was a wonderful, cozy place to stay during our trip to Sedona. Rachel and Bruce were easy to communicate with and very helpful with our check in and recommendations for hiking in the area. The cottage provided everything we needed for a short stay in the area. We loved the chairs outside to relax after hiking and to watch the beautiful sunsets. The cabin is conveniently located to access the interstate and a pretty drive into Sedona.

Bruce and Rachel were wonderful and very accommodating hosts! We enjoyed relaxing here after hikes each day. The cottage was cozy and had everything we needed. It was the perfect spot to catch a beautiful Arizona sunset and to stargaze at night. We look forward to returning in the future!

Very good for two for a short time 3-4 days. It is small and not very much room to prepare food or keep food in ref. It is very small. However the view, quit and peace you get there out ways the small kitchen and bath.

We had an amazing stay at your cottage. It was a perfect place our 3 days of prayers. The cottage was very clean and well managed. We loved the view from the hilltop especially at night; watching the shooting stars in a cool breeze! We would love to come back again.

This was a great place to rest in between hikes and adventures in the Sedona and Cottonwood area. We enjoyed the scenic road and saw a pair of mule deer on our drive up the first night! This cabin has environment-friendly features like an energy efficient water heater and water efficient toilet and shower head with great water pressure. We most enjoyed the back garden at night to watch shooting stars in the Milky Way! The cabin is a great place to enjoy nature.
