It was great.water view. Everything we needed for a short stay. Restaurants and gas stations in walking distance. Great trail across street for walking. Decent beds, quiet rooms, it was better then expected !!

Stayed in the 2 bedroom condo, very well remodeled, beds were certainly firm , but overall very nice stay with an excellent view with dinning options in walkimg distance.

Beautiful room! We appreciated the self check in and not needing to keep track of a room key during our stay!! The owners have obviously put a lot of thought into this property, right down to fun pool toys and nice, big absorbent towels at the pool!!

I LIKED THE REFRIGERATOR/MICROWAVE. ROOM WAS CLEAN. COULD NOT ADJUST VOLUME ON TELEVISION. SAFETY LIGHT OUTSIDE SHOULD SHUT OFF AT 11:00 OR 12:00....TOO BRIGHT IN MY ROOM TO SLEEP. LOCATION VERY CONVENIENT. ENJOYED THE GUYS WITH THEIR FIREPLACE NEXT DOOR IN THE TRAILER

This room was very clean and bright. Our bathroom fan in room 15 was pretty loud and the refrigerator had a high pitch sound when it was running. The firm mattress was the best treat for me and the sheets and blanket were wonderfully crisp. Well worth the rental fee.

Great view of Lake Pepin and close to restaurants, convenience stores, etc. Good rates with easy online check in. Very clean room with comfortable bed and hot shower. I would stay here again!

Very updated and clean! Liked getting code for easy check in. Got there at night and had difficulty finding room! Numbers need to be visible or signage telling you where room numbers are! That was our only complaint! Went trough parking lot 4 times looking for room 22! Too dark out couldn’t see room numbers!

Hello, I just want to let everyone know that I highly recommend Sunset Motel. It’s a very lovely motel, everything better than expected. It has more of the HOTEL feel as the accommodations and communication were splendid. The front desk was so warm. The area is beautiful too. Awesome view of the lake! Highly recommended!

I was initially drawn to this place because the price was right and the view was perfect. On our first night there we ran into an issue with the room next door. I reached out to the owners and they did not hesitate to correct it. I appreciated that. They are in the middle of doing lots of updates and it is looking good. The best part was the bed and pillows were great. That is always one of the most important parts of a hotel stay.

What a charming, quaint property!!!! It was like stepping back in time, but with upgrades to keep things fresh and clean. Loved the vuew of the Mississippi River, the comfy beds, and the retro fridge and microwave! The proprietor was present whenever we needed him, and very attentive and personable. We would definitely recommend the Sunset Motel! One note: if anyone in your party finds climbing stairs a challenge, make sure your accommodations are not on the second level.

We had a great stay but arrived late after a wedding and the room was freezing! I think we got imthe heat to work after about a half hour, but it wasn't super user friendly. I wore pants to bed. But we stayed in room #24 and it was super cute and newly remodelled! Great views, easy check-in and good stay overall.

The check-in process could have been more informative. We were a little worried that we didnt get much info until the morning of check-in. The room was very clean and nicely updated. The room had a fridge and a microwave which we were not expecting. Exceptional view of the water. We would stay here again.

Loved the outdoor pool on this 100° day & the view of Lake Pepin across the street. Our little dog was allowed & the place is beautiful inside & out. Cutest vintage turquoise fridge & Microwave in room. Spotless! So happy I came here!

As an older motel, the owners have done ab excellent job with upgrades, such as new railings and keyless entry. The room was spotless! Loved the pillows. The only problem was the drainage in the tube and sink. After a very short shower, I had about two inches of water which made the bottom of the tub very slippery. That is a concern for a senior citizen. Fix that and this is a 5 star place!

My stay at the Sunset Motel was fantastic. The property is in the process of being updated. The rooms have been nicely updated and are very clean and comfortable.The couple who own the motel are friendly and are in the process of turning the motel into something special. Great location as well with stunning views of the water. I look forward to staying here again.

We stayed at Sunset Motel in July, 2023. We were in one of the renovated units. The unit was clean and equipped for everything needed for our stay. The motel grounds are well maintained. Although there is some renovation going on, the owners make sure the guests are not inconvenienced.

Check in was easy. There is no contact they send you a code. Clean and simple room. Uncomfortable bed but it was a short stay luckily.
