Clean place, nice location, but owners ask a lot from you.

Great location. We stayed here briefly and visited Universal Studios and the apartment had everything we needed. Easy to find, free secure parking, and spacious living area. Lots of options for food & entertainment nearby.

When we arrived the AC was set to 50 degrees so the entire apartment was freezing. I messaged the hosts and they said to adjust the thermostat, but did not give detailed instructions on how to do it and it was a pain to figure out. Towards the end of our stay we had some trouble getting into the apartment as the key lock/pin pad on the front door was on low battery. We managed to get in, and I messaged the hosts to let them know about the issue. They messaged me back saying we would need to change out the batteries ourselves. Well, it was bolted onto the door and we had no tools or batteries, so not sure how they expected us to handle it. I was a little offended they would even ask us to do so. That seems like something they should have take care of. Lastly they sent us directions for check out that included a list of expectations like doing all of the dishes and taking out our own trash... which we did, but we were still charged a $110 cleaning fee. Its a great place but the owners shouldn't expect so much help with cleaning & maintenance out of their guests. We aren't their tenants; we were on vacation!
