Un séjour de rêve dans un resort familial

L’emplacement incroyable au bord de la mer, le charme des bungalow, la gentillesse du personnel et la qualité de la cuisine ! Nous avons vraiment tout aimé dans ce mignon petit resort à l’écart de la ville où on peut faire du snorkeling directement sur la plage de l’hôtel avec des récifs de coraux (+quelques tortues de mer) juste à quelques mètres. Un vrai lieu dédié au repos et au laisser aller

Great location and nice food

Beach location. Excellent food from the bar/restaurant

We had booked the deluxe queen room which is a very large room with fridge/kettle/kitchen etc. This is the most expensive room but I wouldn’t book this again as there is no seating area or balcony area to relax on. Also the windows look directly onto the bar or scuba teaching area so really have to keep the curtains always closed because they are busy area’s. If I stayed here again I would book the cabins with sea view which are probably more basic but also cheaper.

Molt contenta!

Lloc ideal si el que vols es bussejar, el personal súper amable. Les instal·lacions estan totes molt netes. Si veniu a bussejar aneu amb en Glen el millor Divemaster!!!

Relaxing stay close to reefs

It's a very chill place and we'll designed too. The beach is rocky but it's very good for snorkeling and free diving. The reefs have quite a diversity. It was my first time to see crown of thorns and lionfish just off the shore. The food is also great! The adobo has a large serving, the porkfat just melts in your mouth and it is not salty. Of course the staff are friendly.

Some shower rooms only have a curtain and not a door. But I was always clean. The neighbor sings at the karaoke making nap time difficult.

Relaxing - perfect stay for a trip to Apo

Fantastic property with the best staff! The huts were basic but clean and comfortable. The shared shower and bathroom facilities were great and perhaps the best “shared” facilities we had in the Philippines. The staff are so nice and very accommodating. The restaurant had good portions and was tasty - lots of choices with good quality. We did a dive/snorkel trip to Apo Island with the Resort and it was great - very accommodating and they took care of everything. We had the best time!

great place in Dauin

Cosy bungalow, clean and comfy. Super friendly staff and dive master. Everything was clean. Beach access, snorkelling is amazing right in front of the resort. Walking distance to restaurants and center of Dauin. Would definitely go back :)

Would be great to know in advance the schedule of the diving trips to Apo Island. I didn't ask ahead so when I arrived, it was already full. That's something to keep in mind if you're going to Dauin to explore Apo :)

A welcoming, friendly, affordable, safe, clean, beautiful dive resort.

The place is really fantastic. The staff so dedicated and friendly absolutely top. The dive centre has very good equipment and the dives are well organized and safe. The coral reef just in front is simply amazing with beautiful eel garden, corals, friendly turtles and lots of coral fishes variety. And on top the food is also delicious. Seriously amazing place. The place is also really well maintained, clean and mattress really comfortable.

The staff and owners are incredibly nice, they made me feel at home. It was the cleanest room I've stayed in the Philippines. Nice restaurant too. Security at night I felt very safe.

The communal showers only has a curtain (no door and lock).

The staff and management are very friendly. The food is great. The room. The service. The dive masters/instructors are always helpful. The beachfront and the nearby reef. The small touches like the mosquite repellent coils they put around at night, hammocks all over the property,

diving instructors are great people. reef in front of the resort is just amazing ! staff is really nice and helpful we liked the bamboo bedrooms resort is very clean. common showers and toilets are very clean too. you are directly on the beach which is great for enjoying sunset, sunrise and having breakfast/dinner

One of the best accommodations I’ve stayed at (in and out of the Philippines), and now one of my favorite places to stay

This is my second time at La Tortue. My friend and I loved staying here where the staff were very friendly and accommodating, and provided us with so much useful info to make the most out of our stay in Dumaguete. From a tricycle service to and from the airport, to diving lessons, to recommended places to see in Valencia and Dumaguete City, to great conversations with the staff (and pets!), we loved it all.

Cozy place to stay, budgetfriendly, great diving!

Small and cozy spot to sleep at the beach! Design of the huts and showers is simple, it is a comfortable place to stay if you are on a budget. It also has a diveshop/school with a beautiful housereef and spots nearby (APO is also an option!). The atmosphere was really nice, the staff super friendly. They serve delicious coffee and desserts (and more food). I will come back when I am in Dauin 🙂

La Tortue HAS GOOD FOOD. I highly recommend coming here even just for eating meals and not staying. Note that Dauin is a small town, so it does make sense to prearrange dinner if you are going on a night dive. I stayed here to dive at Apo Island. They also have a dive crew, and highly recommend for diving in small shore dive groups.

Lovely stay in Dauin

Lovely, cozy bungalow wirh comfortable mattress and beautiful sea and sunrise view. Fantastic reef right in front of the resort. Staff was wonderful and the food was tasty!

A resort which will give you a home feeling

At first we planned to stay at la Tortue for three days, but we stayed there for 11 days ! Nicolas and his staff are amazing people. You feel like at home with really good meals, a nice atmosphere and kindful people. We had the opportunity to get our diving license with the bests instructors John and Jerry. Highly recommended if you want to have a good time in a resort in front of the sea with one of the best area to dive !

This was our favorite stay in our trip to the Philippines. Our cabana had a perfect view of the beach and a world class reef right off the shore. We felt welcome and safe here as to young female travelers. When we come back to Dauin, we will certainly stay here again.

One of the places you never want to leave

We absolutely loved our stay in La Tortue! This place was great for learning to dive, chilling on the beach or at the bar, eating great food. Accommodation is simple but at the same time very charming and even romantic. We took speciality courses in scuba diving and our teacher, John, was terrific - not only did he teach us everything within the scope of the courses, but also focused on improving our overall technique as divers. The owners were also very helpful and accommodating, making sure that our expectations were met and surpassed. The whole staff on the site is great, and super friendly. I can't recommend it enough.

The only thing we disliked is that we had to leave this place to continue our travelling. We already miss it and want to go back.
