Amazing place to stay in Bled

I was given probably the warmest welcome I've had at any hotel anywhere in the world, Luka was so friendly and helpful and immediately I felt at home here. He also gave me a map and directions for getting in to town, and helped me to my room with my luggage. Tea and coffee making facilities weren't in the room but I didn't mind this at all, it was all downstairs in the breakfast room to help yourself at any time. It actually made it feel more homely to have to leave the room to make a drink! There's also a nice seating area down there where I sat to eat my snacks in the evenings. Breakfast was tasty and good coffee machine! Location of the hotel was excellent, easy to walk to from Bled Union bus stop (where the buses from the train station and Ljubljana arrive at) and an easy walk to the lake and restaurants, shops etc too. Very quiet peaceful area but felt very safe too. Nice shower and comfy bed.

I had the small single room which was smaller than other single rooms I've stayed in but really didn't matter as I wasn't in the room much! Will still be recommending this place to friends!

Quick weekend getaway

Location is excellent, the staff is so friendly and nice. Breakfast is generous and tasty. Our room was kinda small, but interesting enough the bathroom was almost as big as the room, which is pretty spatious. The beds were comfy and the whole place was immaculate clean.

My only complaint would be the bathroom ventilation wasn't working and since there were no windows, you have to air the bathroom through your room. Wasn't a big deal though.

The hotel was a gem, situated in a tranquil and green area. The view from my balcony (room 15) was amazing, surpassing the lake view. The facilities were excellent, and the room, including the bathroom, was clean and spacious. The owner and both receptionists were incredibly supportive, making your stay feel like home.

A great place to stay in Bled. You can't go wrong staying at Garni Hotel Berc!

We stayed here 11 years ago and I was pleased to see it has not changed. It is still the same amazing, wonderful hotel. Luka greeted us when we arrived and he along with all the staff we met were very friendly, warm, knowledgeable,and helpful. The room we had was large and very comfortable. The deck was huge with a good view and table with chairs that we used every evening after a long day of seeing the sights of Slovenia. The breakfast is out of this world! One of the best we had on our trip.It has a great location in Bled, close to the lake and easy walking to downtown but out of the commotion of the lakefront.

We found Garni Hotel Berc to be extremely welcoming, very traditional and so convenient for everything we wanted to do in the area. Having a car parking space was brilliant. Plenty of choice at breakfast and all the staff were so helpful. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend for a quiet, relaxing spot in such a beautiful area.

Friendly, well run and traditional getaway

Luka the owner was incredibly welcoming, helpful and trusting. Hotel room was clean and had everything I needed. Free use of bikes and padlocks as well as an honesty fridge full of drinks. You just have to keep a track of what you've had and pay before you leave. The ac was strong and cold!

2 very small things to write about really as I loved the place! During one of my showers the cold water suddenly stopped and I had to jump out from the very hot water. Although I could leave the key with Luka behind the desk during the day, at night you need to take it out because the front door gets locked. That's fine but the keyring was pretty big.

Just perfect!

Beautiful family run hotel and close to Lake Bled - five minute walk. Luca and team are fantastic hosts - full of information and they go the extra mile - Sonia is lovely and so friendly - breakfast plentiful and really good coffee! Rooms are cleaned daily. Garden is lovely to sit in. Would highly recommend this hotel.

Great place to stay when in Bled

Very welcoming and cozy, amazing and friendly staff. I forgot to mention my mum is gluten intolerant and they made sure she had gluten free products for her at breakfast even though it was a last minute request. Great location, beautiful surrounding, highly recommend.

Really a minor thing - good coffee from the machine is available only at the breakfast time. I wanted to have an afternoon cuppa and only thing available was Nescafe. So, if you are a coffee drinker you’d need to get it elsewhere (plenty of options in the Bled centre!).

Absolutely fantastic!

I liked how close the property was to the lake and how helpful Luka was when it came to planning day trips. I also really liked the free bike hire provided by the hotel as it allowed me to explore the lake much easier.

Excelent location, walking distance to the centre and Bled lake, breakfast was great every morning, the owner was very nice, helpfull and friendly. Room was spacious enough with large bathroom and balcony. I can only recommend.

The accomodation was very good, clean and it has got a very good atmosphere. You can have calm and you can relax here. The lady was very kind and friendly, she ensures everything which can be necessary and even more. The breakfast was super, a very wide range of choice, you can really enjoy it. Next time when I will go to Bled, for sure I will book here a room again.

Welcoming home in a beautiful setting

We loved our 7-night stay at Hotel Garni Berc. Luka, Monika and all of the team were so welcoming and friendly, we felt really at home there for the week. The breakfast was delicious each morning, and although we stayed for 7 days we did not get bored, as it was always fresh, with some of the ingredients coming straight from the garden. We also liked the look of the place, it was very traditional and made us feel like we were in a fairy tale.

It was a perfect stay, thank you Luka, Monika and team!!!!
