it exceeded my expectation in every way..comparing the indigo Exeter to the indigo in Bath, UK
We loved everything!
We didn't like having to walk 2 blocks with our luggage to the taxi pick up area next to library.

Fantastic short break in lovely hotel
Lovely stay in a very comfortable hotel. I loved the decor and very pleased with our room which was clean and very comfortable bed. Most of the staff we came across were extremely helpful and polite. Good choice at breakfast. Great location. The main areas were all very clean and welcoming. I loved all the special touches that nod to the history of the building. I would definitely try to return if back in Exeter.
I would definitely stay here again but there were a couple of things that could be fixed to make it absolutely excellent. We ate one night in the hotel and unfortunately the air conditioning is stuck on cold in the dining area and blasting cold air into the dining room which I think really affected the enjoyment of the meal and the atmosphere ( we asked a very kind waitress if this was an ongoing problem and she did say that this had been stuck like this for a while). We also did not realise that the rooftop bar must be booked and it closes early on a Sunday so good to be aware of this ( it probably says on the website but we missed it). Again we never realised that the spa was totally separate ( we thought we could just use the steam room and pools as part of hotel) and also when we went to book on a discounted rate as part of hotel the last time for use was 4pm which I think is a bit early so we never managed to use the spa which we had been looking forward to.

Spot on
Overall, excellent, beautiful room, very impressed with the nod to the original use of the building as a department store, nice touch of the room furniture reflecting haberdashery display cabinets, even the hooks resembled old cotton reels, not sure younger people would get the link but we appreciated it!
All Good, in fact very good!

Very personalized and friendly staff.
Check in and Check out were incredibly friendly and they even remembered my name from a previous telephone call. Upon check out, Amira was very kind and super friendly, using my name and asking if anything specific to my stay. Both Jo the Manager and Amira were so nice, it almost felt like I wanted to stay another night. Thankyou to the check in staff and the Jo and Amira for making my stay memorable
Only one minor problems, some drinks ran out due to stock turnover.

Wouldn’t stay again
Great location, comfy bed
Dirty communal areas especially the lift. Hairs in the bathroom. Hole in the wall. Handprints on the glass. Bedroom so hot, air conditioning extremely poor and no window. We were upgraded to a room with a balcony just so we had fresh air. Breakfast was £50 and arrived on one small tray. Very poor

stunning hotel in a great location
Excellent location for exploring the city and just a short walk from Exeter Central station. The interior design is wonderful and really complements the building. The bed was incredibly comfortable, we both had the best sleep!
it’s a shame the rooftop bar wasn’t open as we visited over the August bank holiday and the weather was beautiful.
