1. Дверь в номере была выбита. Там была огромная дыра. Не понимаю, как можно размещать в подобный номер гостей. Ее прямо кто-то вышибал 2. На рецепшн никогда никого нет 3. Мы заехали с семьей в 10 вечера и уже после оплаты нам сказали, что спа у них закрывается в 9 и открывается в 11 часов утра. А выезд в 12 часов дня. А я специально бронировала этот отель из-за бассейна!!! чтобы ребёнок поплавал и хотелось как-то его порадовать в пути. Нам сказали, что у нас будет час!) ну на этом спасибо. К слову, на следующий день когда мы пришли туда в 11.30, там элементарно не было ничего. Ни того же персонала, который выдал бы полотенца и тапочки, сауна была холодной. В общем, не было ничего и никого. Ну мы посмотрели на всю эту картину и уехали. 4. Когда заселялись, нас даже администратор не проводила в номер, мало того, видя, что я в положении и муж несёт огромные сумки и ещё двух летнего ребёнка, нам даже не предложили ЭЛЕМЕНТАРНУЮ помощь, стоял охранник и девушка администратор и молча наблюдали за тем, как у мужа из портфеля вываливались вещи и даже не помогли донести. Здесь даже просто человеческий фактор элементарно должен был сыграть, что уже говорить про сервис 5. Мы были похоже одни в отеле выбор на завтрак был это: омлет. Очень и очень скудно. Как нам объяснили, мы опоздали на завтрак и поэтому остался только омлет.😁 180 лари номер. Просто напоминаю. Зачем писать что включён завтрак, если у вас только омлет. Спросили что мы хотим, я сказала карбонару. Нам сварили макароны и добавили туда кетчуп. Тапочек одноразовых нет в номере, из сворных принадлежностей был только шампунь. Никаких щёток, даже элементарно мыла не было. Кружек тоже не было, хотя сами пакетики чая были😁 Ну и дополнило все это выбитая дверь и огромная дыра в ней, как я уже писала ранее. Больше туда ни ногой. Красивым был только балкон.

I would not go there again

The receptionist was very nice and helpful.

The rooms' view was blocked by another building. The bathroom smelled very bad, like sewage all the time. The swimming pool was not clean. The hotel breakfast was cold and no care was put in the hotel. The security asked us to get out of the pool because my wife wore a swimsuit that covered her whole body claiming that other guests did not like that. Also the surrounding area has very limited restaurants and activities. Maybe it is better in winter but in summer it was not a good experience overall.

The location is too good for anyone to deny this place. But needs some maintenance.

We received a free upgrade to the top room - they call the Presidential Suite. The view from all the rooms was excellent. The rooms were spacious and had all the required amenities.

The carpets were dirty and sticky, so we had to keep slippers on. The TVs in all the rooms didn't work, nor could they fix it. There was no room service available from the hotel. The door knobs were damaged.

Surrounding area

The staff was very unfriendly and unhelpful, breakfast was never open on time and it was as if they were doing you a favor by opening breakfast, after you had already waited at least 15-20 minutes from the communicated opening time. At breakfast in particular, whenever you asked a question or needed something, it was as if you're truly annoying them. There is no proper sound isolation, so we could hear our neighbors and the loud music from across the ski slope at night. The hotel overall needs a renovation and some caring staff, it's a bit tired.

The food was terrible! The service in the restaurant was hard to find at all! Some few waiters was ok, many was just there and using there phones to look social media!

Fabulous!

This was an exceptional stay! The best part of this fabulous property was the location with beautiful views. Lots of restaurants nearby. It has a livery restaurant with lots of food options. The spa facilities were amazing!

Pretty much everything was good about this property. It has outclassed itself!

The Best.

Read this review, I will summarise everything. All the old reviews are outdated. Hotel is different now. In one word, Wow. After searching for a hotel in Gudauri, I saw this as the best choice. We arrived at 4th of june. It was empty (awesome). It's quite big. Rooms are good with beautiful views and balcony. Looby is very beautiful and cozy. Free sauna and swimming pool. And the best part? Breakfast and dinner. The chef is just different. She is really good. She cooks four cheese pizza and margareta better than Italians !! No joke! It's like a 5 star restaurant. And it's all for free. I haven't seen a hotel like this with this price. Staff is very good. Receptionist speaks English. What a kind person. Very good value for money.

Gudauri is a ski resort. So in summer I think its better to stay in Kazbegi. Although it's still a good town here. 30 min to kazbegi. Relaxing and very good scenery nearby. Plus its better than any hotel in Kazbegi. Only small noise from main street nearby.

I have an enjoyable time snowboarding at Gudauri, Hotel Carpe Diem is reasonable but can improve.

Its location, if you prefer to be away from the crowds of all the new apartments at New Gudauri.

The room is very basic or below normal hotel standard. The main door is certainly non sound proof which i could see through a gap leave alone fire rated. The door lock is mechanical key, not the usual hotel card key system. There is a seating area on 2nd floor where some guests gathered and talked till 2-3am and disturb your sleep.

Not good, hotel is way too pricy for the conditions and service it offers.

The rooms are worn out, with damages and no maintenance or repair is done. E.g., if the clothing hook or shelf is the shower falls down,no one will take care of that, at best - maybe remove the broken parts. Be ready to get trauma! Room service is just formal - exchange of towels, supply of shampoos (by the way, that were already used upon arrival) and wc paper. If there is a used glass in a room,it will stay your companion for the rest of time you’re spending at the hotel. Shelves and surfaces are dusty. Baby bed didn’t have a mattress. Instead of that - a folded blanket. Imagine the safety for an infant sleeping in such conditions. Eventhough it is winter, no one considers cleaning the snow by the entrances. The same with ice cones. Look up and be careful! Hotel staff is smoking by the ski room and don’t bother if you and kids are passing by a few times to bring all the things before/after skiing and thus inhale the smoke.

It is ideal for those who ski especially during this time but the value for money on their standard rooms are quite expensive given the current state of the hotel ( smells old and linens are very bad)

Disappointing

The new Restaurant was only thing that was good!

There was broken bad, not easy to drive there, because of bad quality of the road especially when there is snow. The price is too high for such an old Hotel. If you have lot of baggage, it won’t be easy carry them. There’s very hot in the room and no possibility to reduce except to leave the windows open. There could be that there isn’t a coffee in the breakfast, but no one really care. The lockers for ski boots are to small for all the family.

We did not get the room we ordered, the sauna was not working, there were malfunctions in the bathroom, the rooms smelled bad.

Very good

Good location. It’s very close to Snow Park and all activities (approximately 10 min walk). Friendly, helpful and hospitable staff both at the reception and at the restaurant. Breakfast had good variety of food. There are all necessary amenities in the room.

The hotel had big construction work and there were no any signs of the temporary entrance, so we even thought that hotel didn’t work when we arrived.

Very good choice to stay close to the slopes!

Perfect location to stay in Gudauri if you do not want to stay in New Gudauri but close to the slopes. Walking from the ski depot to the lift will only take you 5 minutes max. Staff ist trying its best to serve everyone in the best way possible - especially 2 guys in the restaurant are amazing (one bold guy and the person with the mustache - sorry, forgot their names, but I wanted to highlight them!) Pool and Sauna are perfect to relax after a day o the slopes and the restaurant offers also a good choice of food and drinks for a good price. Rooms have been clean, view from the room has been amazing!

When people kept leftover food from the room service in front of their rooms, it takes very long for the staff to clear these leftovers - in a warmer environment this would definitely cause proper issues - this should be optimized.
