Wonderful

Great location, staff were extremely helpful! Loved that they had a washer and dryer available for CHF 5. Breakfast was small but the eggs were cooked to order and were always perfect. They have an onsite restaurant which it’s very fancy but doesn’t serve GF options though there are plenty of restaurants a very short walk so it didn’t really matter. Parking was easy. Short walk to both gondolas. Recommend 4-5 nights here if you can.

Wir haben uns rundum wohlgefühlt und kommen gerne wieder! Wir empfehlen das Hotel Fiescherblcik uneingeschränkt.

Das Zimmer war sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet und sehr sauber. Die Betten sind unglaublich bequem. Der Spa-Bereich verfügt über einen warmen Whirlpool, den wir quasi für uns alleine hatten, und eine Sauna. Das Frühstück war hervorragend mit großer Auswahl. Alle Mitarbeiter des Hotels waren sehr zuvorkommend und freundlich. Der Service war exzellent.

Einige Gäste hielten sich nicht an die Etiquette im Spa-Bereich und hinterließen diesen sehr unordentlich. Hier sollte unbedingt noch mehr darauf geachtet werden.

Magical place to stay!

Amazing hotel. Our room had a huge private terrace and the views were unbelievable. I heard clanging one morning we were there and was delighted to see cows parading through the street right below us! The bus stop is literally right across the street so super convenient. Ideal location as it is super walkable to shops and restaurants but not quite in the noisier heart of it all. The staff was kind and attentive and it was a huge bonus to have laundry available in the basement. The toiletries provided in the room smelled amazing. The restaurant was top notch, we dined there our first night. To end our stay, we got a lovely Swiss chocolate bar as we checked out :)

My only (very minor) recommendations would be to include a hook or two in the bathroom, provide larger bath towels, and include fluffier pillows or just an extra for each guest (ours were nice quality but quite a flat style and there were only one per person - a second pillow would help with the flatness issue). But overall, a marvelous and magical place. Would absolutely recommend staying here.

Highly recommend Fiescherblick

We really enjoyed our stay here. The room was very spacious with an amazing view of Eiger and surrounding mountains. The bus stop is right in front of the hotel, which makes commute to the train station and the town a breeze. The breakfast was always fresh.

The showers were in a weird position and overall smaller compared to other hotels we've stayed at.

Modern, clean and lovely staff

Description on booking.com said room had terrace which is why we drove there specifically because it’s Switzerland and scenic. There was NO terrace nor balcony. It appeared to be the only room in the hotel without one. Staff graciously acknowledged error but hotel was full.

It was a really pleasant stay in general.

Location was great as it is only few minutes walk from the cable car station. It is also sitting on the more quiet end of the main street but still in close proxiity to the shops and restaurants. Free carpark is a bonus. The reception was very friendly and was willing to help with ticket purchase and recommending hiking/sightseeing routes. We woke up to a nice clear blue sky and greenery of Grindelwald from the room terrace.

There was not much variety of choices for breakfast which I think the hotel could make some improvement on.

Great location. Close to everything but still quiet at night. Food is fantastic. Staffs are friendly and helpful. Our room has a fantastic view of glacier and the church. Everything is great. Will definitely stay here again if we come back to Grindelwald.

happy visitors!!

whats NOT to like?! it's hard to believe they've been open less than a year with how seamless everything went. All of the staff goes above and beyond to be helpful and make your stay comfortable, all with a friendly smile on their faces. The rooms are clean and updated, keeping things extra comfortable. The location and views are breathtaking from all angles. I appreciated the location being a little away from all the hustle and bustle, but walking distance to everything you need. And the food!! be sure you make a dinner reservation- they're on their way to be Michelin star that's for sure. and the morning breakfasts are so delicious as well.

if I had to complain about something, it would be that I didn't have time to stay longer! we will for sure be back.

A very special place in the Swiss Alps

This was one of the nicest hotels I have stayed at, not to mention that we had one of the nicest views from a hotel room I’ve had (from the top floor suite). The restaurant is world-class — a real experience! Finally, the staff were extremely friendly and helpful, taking time to assist with planing our days and booking tickets. One of the best hotel experiences we’ve had.

Lovely hotel. Modern meets cozy. Beautiful decor and very good location. Close enough to everything and they give you few local tips. Steps to Grindelwald First. Dinner was Michelin level, hospitality and attention to detail was superb.

Our room was on the second floor, and there was a bus station in front of it, during the day was a little loud, could not leave the windows open.

Lovely relaxed hotel - stylish rooms and terrace garden with fab food and views to die for!

Stylish and well considered contemporary design in a well appointed hotel. The staff are young but knowledgeable (one of the owners is a sommelier and regaled us with fabulous local Swiss wines) The food is just superb- breakfasts had a good variety of cold meats, cheeses, cereals, Swiss yoghurts and bircher, breads and croissants etc or cooked to order. Dinner was superb- we tried the 3 course tasting menu which was sublime. If we could have afforded it we would have eaten there every night! Location was ideal just out of the main village of Grindelwald, so quieter, yet only a five minute stroll into the centre- plus the buses stop right outside. The best views of the glacier and the Eiger and Wetterhorn opposite!- absolutely stunning views!! We loved it very much!

Absolutely great hotel except - and speaking as a UK visitor here- we would have loved some strong (plenty of tannin) Assam/Ceylon blend English Breakfast tea as well as the Earl Grey that was offered, which is more of an afternoon tea. A smart variety was on offer in the restaurant but a very weak blend. Maybe take your own Yorkshire or PG tea bags!! Milk sachets in the rooms for tea and white coffee drinkers. A coffee maker would have been ideal- esp as no room service and more akin to other 4* hotels we have stayed at. No alternative to the fine dining menu on offer for residents which meant we ate out elsewhere every other night. A prix fixe/set menu for residents would have been acceptable.

Hotel is beautiful, modern, nice decoration, and clean. the staff is helpful and friendly. View from the room is incredible. great restaurant.

Having kitchenette in the room was one of the reasons we chose to stay here as we travelled with 2 yo baby and we planned to cook some easy meal for her sometimes. Unfortunately, staff didn’t allow us to cook in the room and that’s very disappointed. if only we knew that we will select other room types which is much cheaper. :(

the perfect holiday in the Swiss alps

I don’t usually write reviews, but I loved our stay so much I had to. everything from the location to the restaurant to the physical rooms exceeded our expectation. and amazing, amazing service. (Fabian, we love you!) my husband and I were in Italy for over a week before getting to Grindelwald and both agreed the 4-course meal + wine tasting at the hotel was our favorite meal of the trip.

nothing! helpful things to note: the walk from the train station to the hotel is about 15 minutes, largely uphill. there is a bus stop right outside the hotel so I recommend just riding the bus for 3 stops and then you’re there! when we first got there we decided to take the scenic tour and walk, and well, it’s not for the faint of heart. 😬
