On a west-facing hill, the red sunset irradiates the magnificent garden and lights up Casale delle Lavande, a delightful house of uncommon charm immersed in the heart of the typical Umbrian countryside. The skyline seen from here is unmatched. From the windows, framing views of extraordinary beauty, and from the infinity pool, your gaze wanders across the plain that stretches from the garden right up to alluring Todi. The architecture of this beautiful home, with all amenities and mod cons, is inspired by that of the traditional rural houses clad in sandstone and with large use of salvaged wood for the ceilings and oak planks for the warm floors. The bright spacious rooms are enriched by a fine collection of top quality furniture in Provençal style, with country chic details, blending in well with the simple natural shades of the upholstery and walls. The centre of the house is the spacious living room, an open-plan area with a super-equipped kitchen that extends outside to a wide pergola surrounded by flowers where guests can experience the peaceful atmosphere of the Umbrian countryside. The house is a good departure point for visiting the many places of natural, artistic and religious interest in the area. Todi, with its natural landscapes, prestigious architecture, rich culture and old traditions, is just 10 minutes from the property, but also within easy reach are the well-known towns of central Italy: Orvieto, Assisi, Perugia, Spoleto. The excellent road links, as well, guarantee easy travel to the neighbouring regions of Tuscany and Lazio.

Interior:
The property takes full advantage of the hilly sloping terrain, spread over three floors and with access to the garden from the basement as well. The main door on the ground floor goes into the living area with large sitting room, dining area and kitchen, with centre island, with direct access out to the porch and pergola. A double bedroom with queen-size bed (with French window leading out to a terrace) and ensuite bathroom with shower complete the ground floor. The marble staircase at the entrance leads up to the top floor and down to the basement. The top floor consists of a double bedroom with an amazing panorama and bathtub in view and of a private bathroom with shower. Going down to the basement, which has a pleasant temperature even during the hottest summer days, you come to a billiard room, connected to a TV room (with video projector), a laundry room and a guest bathroom. Here, along a short corridor, there are a double room with en-suite bathroom with shower and direct access to the garden, a four-bed room with en-suite bathroom with shower and hydromassage tub. This room, through a sliding door, may be divided into two twin rooms both with independent entry sharing the bathroom, one is provided with a french door and has direct access to the garden while the other has a loophole window and en-suite bathroom. Air conditioning in all bedrooms.

Park:
The house is surrounded by a 8000 sq m, partially fenced-in park with a parking area. The garden is abloom with many types of flowers that alternate in the well-maintained lawn areas around the house and in the pool area, with lavender the protaganist everywhere. From the gate a row of young cypresses flanks the driveway up to the house. Climbing wisteria and jasmine, bushes of Mediterranean herbs and typical olive trees line the dry-stone walls and internal paths. Under the large porch with direct access from the kitchen through the French window, an area has been set up for alfresco dining, complete with built-in barbecue and sink, and a comfortable seating area. A romantic pergola covered with climbing wisteria in front of the sitting room French window contains a panoramic corner, furnished with sofas and armchairs, where guests can sit and relax.
Please notice that photos are taken in spring, therefore flower blossoming, and the colours of the gardens' grass could be different at the moment of your arrival at the villa.

Swimming Pool:
Open from the last Saturday in April until the first Saturday in October, the large infinity pool lies on the lower terrace of the property, accessible from the house down a flight of steps bordered by a large wall covered in lavender bushes. In front is a view over the countryside and of Todi, offering beautiful sunsets. The rectangular pool, with travertine border and PVC lining, has large steps into the water on one side. It measures 12x6 m with the depth varying from 1.50 m to 2.5 m. The purification system is chlorine. The sunbathing area runs along the perimeter of the pool, paved in travertine, and in the surrounding lawn area and is provided with sunbeds, deckchairs, relax corner with sofa and armchairs under a gazebo and a pergola covered in wisteria, ensuring peaceful, shady relaxation. The pool has internal lights and a cold-water shower.

We have enjoyed our staying in this house. The house was nice decorated, clean and the garden was beautiful. When we booked our vacation, we had no idea where we will find ourselves, how will look our vacation! The structure is very well restored and provided all the facilities one could ask for.

We stayed in July for one week in this house and we enjoyed every second of our stay. Everything was perfect: the fully equiped kitchen, bathrooms and the comfortable bedrooms. The house has a pool with an overlooking landscape of beautiful picturesque trees and hills. Definitely a mesmerizing view, the place is unlike anything else you can find. A 5 star holiday
